Air Recovery Heating & AC

I honestly don’t understand the three negative reviews for this company. I have been using them for 2 — 3 years and I’ve never had a problem. Seriously. I also get quotes from other companies when I need some work done, and, each time Tony has been the better deal. I have a home that was built in the 90’s. A couple of years ago I started having AC problems. After a couple of bad repairmen I found Tony.
He has always given the better quote, and, I have been pleased with his (their) work. I had been putting band-​aids on my front compressor for a couple of years. Finally, it bit the dust. We decided that we would stick it out as long as we could with just the back compressor. Replacing these things is expensive. We rode out the storm and saved pennies in the coffee can.
Time came to replace. Tony, of course, was our first call. He gave us a quote on a 16S 3T for just under 5G. We called other competitors and could not find a equal match. In fact, one reputable company quoted over 8G! Bite me! We, once again, hired Air Recovery. They showed up on time and got to work. Turns out the unit that goes in the attic over the garage was too big for the hole.
They had to pull out the stairs to get the unit in. This, of course, cost extra. With the $ 400 new installation discount, and, six hours later, we had our new unit installed and working. Still under 5G. These guys worked all day. They were professional and courteous as always. I like Tony. I feel like he is honest with me, and, he and his crew always do great professional work. Another plus is Tony handles registering the warranty for you and sends you the information for your records.

Air Recovery was cleaning the next door rental house and were so kind to use my hose and water. ?!!
There is a spout and hose next to AC unit on the rental house. I saw all the water and put the hose in the garage. When I came back out I asked the man in a holey tee shirt if he was using my water. He said yes. I asked him to use the hose attached to the house he was servicing. His vehicle was unmarked as was his teeshirt.
5 minutes later a young mexican boy with Air Recovery on his shirt rang my doorbell and offered me a dollar with no apology. He said the hose on the rental house had ants on it. Really?
I cannot attest to their AC work, but I will NEVER use them.
Crew lacked good judgement.

Air Recovery Heating might be the most unprofessional and dishonorable company I have seen in a long time.
They lack respect, disobey basic safety guidelines and are insolent in behavior.
There are a lot of HVAC repair companies in Austin — if you come across this company do yourself a favor … keep looking!

Tony and crew do a great job at an honest price. We had a 15 year old A/​C unit replaced this summer and I talked the wife into letting me have a separate 1-​ton mini-​split put into the garage. Both units were installed in one day. Work was done quick, clean, and correctly. I won’t use anyone else (and don’t expect to use Tony again for many years).
