Advanced Smiles Dental

I have been going here for about two years since I moved from Dallas. I have to admit I have not gone to a dentist for several years, I am a little scared of the dentist, but this place has calmed my nerves and has always been a great experience.
The staff is always great and I usually see the same lady which is always nice! Plus they always remember me which makes me feel right at home!
They also have early hours so I am able to make it to work on time! I will continue to go here as long as I live here! Nothing but great things to say about them!

This office is run meticulously, they are friendly, courteous, and the work is excellent. I would go so far as to say amazingly good — and I have had a lot of dental work, both good and bad. I am a difficult patient because my mouth is hard to get into. I have had dentists turn me away, and those who tried to cope with the challenge were not successful in getting good fits for crowns. Dr. Eivens has small hands, determination, and solid expertise — she uses state of the art equipment (this means you will spend less time in the chair, people). I have never had my crowns fit so well. You can be confident you will receive high quality dental work that will be good for years to come. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Eivens or her staff. I think you will be as pleased as I am.

Aside from the fantastic treatment and quality work, the staff and doctors are extremely kind, compassionate and professional. I don’t know of many dentists that are called Dr. Jenn and Dr. Juli by both patients and staff, that’s how genuinely down to earth they are. I would travel all the way back to Austin from Galveston when I need my dental work!

This is hands down the best dentist. Everyone there is always so nice and friendly.
They always make sure you are comfortable and not in any pain.
I’ve never had any problems with the dental work they have done for me, which is a lot to say the least.
I already have my next 2 appointments set up.

I love Advanced Smiles! Everyone is so pleasant and friendly. The dentists are very professional and efficient. In the four years that I have been going there, I actually look forward to my dental appointments! This office came very highly recommended to me and I feel honored to pass on another great recommendation.

Although Advanced Smiles Dental is a bit of a drive for me, I tried it based on a very reliable recommendation, and I must say that I was not disappointed! I have had some horrible experiences in the past with other dental offices (both the care and billing), which always makes me nervous when I move to a new office. But as my son is at the stage where he sometimes worries more about video games, friends, and having fun then brushing and flossing, good dental care is very important to me! Advanced Smiles Dental did a great job with making us feel both comfortable, but also educating us on why dental care is so important (this was a great lesson for my boy). The staff is very friendly, and there were just the right number of reminders and follow-​ups. I have since recommend this office to several friends and coworkers, especially those with kiddos. I pride myself on being a polite and respectful person, but I just had to zip my mouth and walk straight out of this place. I confirmed no less than THREE times between scheduling this appt 2 months ago and now (twice in setting it up & once yesterday) that all, not some, of my fillings would be replaced in one sitting, took time off work in the middle of a busy transition, and as soon as they sit me down I get «we’re gonna do this in two sessions». This is the 2^nd time they have done this. The first was the exact same scenario with a cleaning about 3 years ago. Recently I had some gum recession after a round of Invisalign that became concerning. On several occasions I was told they’d keep an eye on it and revisit at the next appt. to assess if something had to be done about it. I finally got concerned and asked that they refer me to a periodontist which they refused to do without milking me for another appt. I disregarded that request and went straight to a periodontist who confirmed I would have LOST TEETH if I waited much longer. I had a gum graft done 2 days later (she cleared a spot in her schedule to fix it asap). It saddens me to think that there are offices out there like this who try and steer you into superfluous appointments, X-​rays, and services just to bill your insurance. It disappoints me further that they can’t even show minimal respect for you as they do it.

You know your dentist is good when you actually, in some way, enjoy going. This place is amazing — it’s clean and beautiful. The whole staff is friendly and laid back. They rooms are great with massage chairs and TVs you can watch. They took care of you and are encouraging and non-​judgmental. I can’t recommend them enough!

OK, I’m embarrassed. I cannot believe that I have never written a review for Advanced Smiles. Shame on me, because they are awesome!
I have been a patient here for over 10 years. From the docs, to the hygienists, to the staff and assistants, I am 100% happy. They always greet you with a smile, provide excellent care in a timely and professional manner, and in general make going to the dentist as pleasant as can be. As a business owner, I have referred many clients to ADS and they always come back happy. If you are looking for your next dentist, you can stop now. Advanced Smiles Dental is the place.

Switched to Advanced Smiles just after we moved to a new location in 2009. They have been wonderful. We haven’t had anything happen other than cleanings, X-​rays, and exams so I can’t comment on any procedures and we hope to keep it that way. The staff is knowledgable and friendly so we are all Smiles.

I have been going to Dr Juli and Dr Jenn for over 8 yrs. Most all the staff have been there all those years. (That says alot right there) I just love the warm welcome and friendliness the office gives. The cleanliness is outstanding! Thanku for everything girls!

I used to think this place was the best dentist ever, but apparently if your insurance doesn’t cover their costs, even with their «guarantee on our work» you still have to pay for your dental costs.
I went 2 years ago, my first trip in forever to a dentist and they were great. Had to get a root canal, which didnt thrill me, and because i was in such pain, they didnt even do the tooth work, they sent me for the actual root work to another dental professional, which was inconvienient but i was out of work so it was do-​able.
Came back when the work was done for my crown and that was that. Had lots of other work scheduled but, wife lost job, got new insurance, wasnt on the list, so bummer, couldnt go back.
Fast forward to today, crown comes uncemented. I think, ok they said it was like a 10 year or lifetime guarantee thing so i called on thanksgiving, pretty sure theyd be out til today, i was right no worries.
Get a call today, they can squeeze me in, (awesome ithought!!) but wait, your insurance doesnt work with so its going to possibly be 202 for an emergency visit and re-​cement. …wheres the guarantee? i was told, well we havent seen you in 2 years, so she will need xrays and a re-​cement fee. …but what about the guarantee?
well… thats when i just said forget it and now im posting here unfortunately.
Just more proof that nobody guarantees their work anymore.
amended – while i still feel that the initial response was negative, i have personally dealt with Juli, the actual dentist and she did offer up a solution, but after it was far too late. I will uprate my reivew to 3 stars from one because she tried, and she contacted me personally after hearing about the whole fiasco.

When I moved from Houston to Austin it took me a while to find a Dentist here. I found Advanced Smiles after a recommendation from a friend and boy am I glad!
They have their process down to a science. It is super efficient how they move you through the office for x-​rays, cleaning, Dr. review, etc. Everyone is super friendly and nice. You are in and out as quickly as possible. The Dentist is extremely nice and knowledgeable. Their facilities are top rate (tv’s in every room, massage chairs, etc). I really could not imagine going anywhere else.
And above all of this their pricing is great! Luckily I have good insurance, but even for items like teeth whitening or night guards they are the best I’ve found!
If you are looking for a new dentist this is the one!!!

Holy crap! I haven’t been to the dentist in about 10 years (don’t judge me, sadly I grew up without insurance more often than not). I am in LOVE with this place. So friendly, ready and able to ease even my well-​built fears.
But it doesn’t end there! Once you have established a customized plan based on your needs/​availability/​budget, then someone from the office follows up with you within the next few days to make sure everything went ok. They have care and feeding of clients down to an art form. Very important, considering its somewhere ill be spending a great deal of time/​money over the next year!

I have had a life-​long fear of dentistry that has kept me from getting a cleaning for far longer than I would like to admit to. I finally took the plunge at Advanced Smiles after reading the reviews and speaking to their kind staff over the phone. They assured me that they could put my fears to rest and that they did.
I knew from the moment I walked in that I was in much better hands than I had been in all of my previous experiences. For the first time in my life, my comfort level was the staff’s main concern! Kris, my hygentist, was amazing, especially considering that I had not had a cleaning in several years, The cleaning was quick, painless and I actually had a whiter smile without a whitening treatment! I also met Dr. Lubach who immediately put me at ease with her excellent bedside manner. We talked about the follow up appointments and her main concern was making sure I felt comfortable with the work planned. It was a great experience!
I showed up early to my second visit and they took me back immediately. Denise, the dental assistant, was funny and distracted me with conversation, which I appreciated greatly, as I was really nervous. Once we got started, Dr. Lubach constantly asked how I was doing during the fillings and made jokes as a distraction. She also was excellent at explaining exactly what was happening in each step of the process. Of course, dentistry isn’t like going to the spa, but I wasn’t uncomfortable at any point during my treatment. I’ll take it!
If you are considering Advanced Smiles, make an appointment. I am glad that I did! They will have my business from here on out!

I have been to Advanced Dental Smiles several times. Julie is my dentist. She is always there with a bright smile and very kind to deal with. The staff is very nice and I love the fish tank. I trust them and they worked directly with my insurance to make payment a snap.

After being traumatized by another dentist last year, I was really scared to go back to any dentist ever. On the recommendation of a friend, and based in part on Unilocal reviews, I gave Advanced Smiles Dental a chance.
Their office is really nice and calming right away. Everyone at the front desk was super nice and I didn’t have to wait long at all for my exam. Right away this was a different and much better experience than what I’ve had in the past at other offices.
You know how the assistants usually take you in a room and leave you there waiting for an indeterminate period of time, with no explanation of what they’re going to do or how long it will take? They didn’t do that here! The assistant introduced herself, told me exactly what we’d be doing and then… wait for it… she stayed with me the entire visit.
The dentist I saw, Juli Eivens, was incredibly nice and put me at ease right away. She explained her recommendations, asked me repeatedly if I had any questions, and then set me up for my follow-​ups.
I went back for my second visit today to get a crown. It was even better than the first visit. I showed up early and they saw me right away. I didn’t even sit down in the waiting room. The assistant today was fantastic and literally held my hand while I got the Novocaine. Getting fillings is never fun, but they made it as pleasant as possible. Again, the assistant stayed with me the entire time which made the visit a little bit fun in between the unpleasant parts.
As someone with extreme dental office anxiety, I highly recommend this team. I am driving from south Austin to see them, too, and it’s well worth it.

Soooo… I’ve been trying to wait the appropriate amount of time to write this review, since I used to work here. I haven’t worked for ADS for over a year so I think it is safe to say that it’s time to get to writing a review!
With that said… I LOVE ADVANCED SMILES! Although I no longer work here, I’m still a patient. In fact, all of my friends and family are patients. My parents even drive all the way from Canyon Lake to come in and see Dr. Laubach and Dr. Eivens! (That’s almost an hour and a half drive just for the dentist folks!) My dad says that he will never let anyone touch his mouth again except the staff of Advanced Smiles because he has never had such an amazing experience. I have personally had a lot of work done and I have never had a single problem afterwards. Somehow, they have always even made any injections I’ve needed seem painless.
Both doctors truly care about their patients and actually listen to their concerns and they are sure to address those concerns before addressing any others. The entire staff walks in the door with a smile on their face and walks out with that same smile. Being a previous insider, I can honestly say that the smiles, excitement, and the interest that the staff seems to have in their patients, are 100% real.
The staff and the doctors all work with each patient as an individual vs. treating every patient the same. Some patients like to knock all of their treatment out at once, while others like to take baby steps, whether it is because of comfort or finances. Everyone in the office takes that in consideration and lets the patient be in the driver’s seat and only does what each individual patient is comfortable with. In my opinion, that’s excellent customer care!
If you are looking for a dentist, either of these doctors are definitely the ones you should go with! They are truly amazing people personally and professionally. I know that my family and I will all be patients for many many years to come.

I cannot say enough positive things about this entire staff. I have been going here since they opened. At every visit (keep in mind I go every 6 months and drive in from South Austin) I have been greeted by friendly faces. Dr Laubach and Dr Eivens are both wonderful and extremely gentile. Before I came here, I hadn’t been to the dentist in eight years due to a combination of lacking health insurance and being bejeesus terrified of dentistry.
I don’t know whether I’ve matured or they’re just pros, but I’m over it, my teeth look great, and I’m even flossing! They have an efficient process, allowing you to get in and out quickly and painlessly. Everyone is friendly and concerned with your comfort, and there’s even an online reminder for appointments!
