I appreciate a repair service company that calls you back promptly. I also appreciate it when the same company tells you straight up that it’s better to buy a new dishwasher than repair the one you’ve got. Plus, the technician (Bo) was very, very polite and he liked my dog and my garden. I’ll definitely be calling Access Appliance Service again.

Bo just left after repairing my dryer. Wonderful, friendly man with great attention to detail and quick service. He made my day with his hilarious commentary too! Should I make things break, just so I can have him back?!? THIS is why I deal with small, local businesses: personal attention! With gratitude for fixing my dryer AND making my day so pleasant!

I called Bo at Access after an abortive effort to get an LG authorized repair company to fix my busted fridge, which had leaked freon. He showed up half an hour early, took one look, agreed with the abortive guys’ diagnosis (long story, see my review of KJ Appliances and More), but practically demanded that I call LG, as the sealed system is warranted for parts for seven years. I was willing to pay him the four hundred bucks he quoted just to get the thing working again, but as I said, he insisted I call LG. So I did, and immediately asked for a supervisor, explained the foul-​up with their authorized company, explained that the independent repair company agreed with the dianosis (that would be Bo) and the upshot is LG is covering parts AND LABOR due to the uh, situation, with the original repair guys.
So I have to pay Bo a service call charge. I’d pay twice if he asked (not really, Bo, in case you’re reading this). As long as he’s in the business of repairing appliances, and mine continue to break, I will call him. You should, too.

Earlier this month Bo revived my very old built-​in microwave. Had he not been able to do this I would not only have had to purchase a new one, but since the newer models wouldn’t fit in the space, I’d end up with an unattractive hole in the kitchen where the old microwave lives, and a new microwave taking up counter space. He’s very patient, prompt, and able to figure out problems. Carolyn P.

Bo is really exceptional, so easy to deal with. You make a call, he answers, you provide him information and in a few hours or by the next morning he is at your home. I would not think about calling anyone else.
He is honest, he will tell you if its better to repair or replace whatever it is you called him about. I don’t call anyone else when something breaks down.

Our service was performed on the same day I called by a very nice and honest technician — it was a bad switch on an LG refrigerator at around $ 300 installed rather than a $ 900 compressor replacement.

So, so happy with my LG washer repair. Easy to schedule and came when promised. Extremely professional. Couldn’t know with 100% certainty if the repair would fix my problem because the error code could be caused by 3 problems. He suggested we attempt the least expensive repair and see if it would work. If it didn’t, he was willing to come back re-​install my original part and try the second most common cause of the error we were receiving. Thankfully, the first repair worked:)

Once again they did a great job, Highly recommend this company.

The most honest, reliable service repair man I have ever dealt with. He is the only person I will use. No need to say more.

I called Bo late on a Friday afternoon to repair our broken ice maker after getting the run around from another repair guy. Bo was on our door step an hour and half later. I did not expect same day service on a Friday evening! He quickly found the broken part. He replaced it and recommended a less expensive, more reliable ice maker than the one we had previously. He was polite and knowledgeable and we enjoyed having him work in our home. I will call him next time I need an appliance repair… Great service and highly recommended!!!

I have an LG front-​loading washer that is making a loud sound when the drum spins. Bo came out and after reproducing the problem gave me a detailed explanation of what was wrong. The bottom line was that some bearings are going bad and in order to fix it all the parts and labor will run around $ 600. Ouch! That’s almost as much as a new washer. I very much appreciate him telling me that so that I don’t waste money on fixing a washer that is almost 8 years old. I only paid $ 53 for a service charge. He advised me to stay away from LG and Samsung as they are foreign made and very difficult and costly to get parts for.

Excellent service. I called Bo for service on a dryer in my rental house, and he was more than willing to work with me from out of state. According to my tenants he was always prompt for appointments (once for the estimate and the second time to install the parts), and he was extremely patient as I looked into replacement vs cost of repair. I wouldn’t hesitate to call Bo again, an excellent experience.

Prospective customers, beware! This company can and will take advantage of you. A service technician (who is actually very nice) came to fix my frig today and charged $ 270 for a couple of minutes work and replaced a $ 15 — $ 20 part. Although I could have refused the work, I still would have had to pay the $ 45 service call. Perhaps it’s my expensive zip code but overall I feel I’ve been ripped off and would never call this company again. That is why I gave them 1 star.

I called mid day on Tuesday, they said they could come that afternoon! Holy cow! I wasn’t ready for that! So, I settled for the next day between 10a-​12pm. My problems: gas cook top — 1 burner not lighting and dishwasher tipped when I opened the door and rolled out the dish tray inside.
Bo arrived on time (around 11am) … he checked out my gas cook top. Evidently, at some point, it must have fixed itself because there was no problem with it after all! Then he set his attention to the dishwasher. He showed me immediately what the problem was, how to fix it … what to look for, what else I should think about. He set about making the fix and I continued on with my work (I was on a conference call with work).
But then zip, zip, zip! he was done! He showed me what I did. He went back and checked the gas cook top again to make sure it was really working and it was. And he had a couple calls come through when he was working on my dishwasher and I have to say that I appreciated that he took the call outside.
The cost for the trip and repair was very reasonable. Yes, it took less than 30 minutes but I have no doubt that this is the guy and company I would call again if I had an appliance issue. Bo is a nice guy … very unassuming and very interested in making sure you see what the problem is and what he is doing to fix it.

When my LG washing machine started to have problems I called the Access Appliance Service based upon the reviews it was given. Boy am I glad I choose them to service my machine. Bo, the technician, came out the same day I placed my call. After looking at the problem he immediately knew that a certain part was needed and would have to order it. Once he found out how much the cost would be he checked with me first before ordering it. After giving him the okay he placed the order for the part and was at my house the very same day that the part arrived (which was only two days after he ordered it). Needless to say my machine is now working great. Bo was everything one could ask for… prompt, honest, and professional. He definitely cares about his customers and one that I would recommend to anyone who is in need of an appliance repair.

My oven was leaking gas and I was without it for over a week because the gas company was dragging me along (they were responsible for the problem but wouldn’t tell me if they were going to cover the fix). I called 3 other places first based on recommendations, but nobody was able to come to my home until the next week (which meant another 4 days without a stove/​oven).
I had resigned myself to hosting a party without an oven until I called Access Appliance Service. To my utter shock they not only had a technician who carried the proper gas meter to check for leaks, but he was able to be at my house in 30 minutes! Bo showed up on time and my husband (who was at home to receive him) was very happy with his experience. Bo took his time to make sure everything was done right and even told us how to make some small fixes to our oven and range to make it work better.
I would probably give him 4.5 stars if I could because he wasn’t immediately able to find where the gas line turned on/​off and I had to call the gas company yet AGAIN, but I’ve decided our oven is stupid anyways. So glad I called Access Appliance!

What a great experience. The repair person was knowledgeable, professional, fast and he cleaned up afterward. Price was fair and he gave several discounts. I will use him again in a second!

Bo is the best! He came over first thing in the morning after a late night call about a refridgerator leak we discovered. He explained exactly what the issue was and fixed the problem right away. While he was here he also fixed our microwave that was not venting properly, which was causing the unit to just shut down while in use. He is friendly and polite and the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely call him again if I have any appliance repair needs!

Bo with Access Appliance is my hero! I love my refrigerator and was devastated that it died completely without warning. He came the same day, explained to me exactly what was wrong in detailed terms, and fixed it in an hour! I won’t hesitate to call him again. Hopefully I won’t need another appliance repair anytime soon!
