This is a great location! Have you ever been to a movie theater that’s SUPER busy, rude workers, and way over priced? This is not the place. They have a huge variety of movies, never have lines, and always have a great selection of food. If they could serve beer, i’d start a campaign to give them an extra star. Bathrooms are always clean, and the theater seats are always clean.

I’ve been going to this theater for the past 8 years (bc of convenience) and it has slowly gotten worse and worse. It has gotten so bad, I felt I needed to post a review. Avoid this theater at all costs for many reasons. 1) the lines to get snacks are always long and take FOREVER. I know to allow myself at least 25 extra minutes if I plan to get a snack. 2) Most workers there have horrible attitudes. Always have. I’ve been able to ignore this over the years. 3) It smells in the theaters. 4) The seats are extremely old. 5) The floors are typically sticky. 5). Lastly, and I may be forgetting something, there is always a chance that the sound will not work and they will ask you to leave. This just happened to me. The equipment is so dated and old, they can’t get a movie to run correctly. It is extremely frustrating when you get a babysitter to go see a movie (the first one you’ve seen in months) and can’t see it bc the sound doesn’t work in the theater.

I am very upset, my son and I had to leave this Austell Regal theater because of an ignorant woman, who decided to be on Facebook during the movie. I located the MGR (I believe his name was Jeffery). I advised him of the situation, he came into the movie with me to see if this woman would be stupid enough to still be on Facebook but of course she wasn’t. She claimed she needed light to eat her food. Liar, liar; this was NOT the case… Now after about 20 minutes of this nonsense and missing the movie, Jeffery the MGR asked if we wanted to move or see another movie. I told him absolutely NOT and that woman should be made to leave or be inconvenienced and not me!!! He offered 2 free passes but never checked on this situation again.
Therefore, I still ended up being inconvenienced and another MGR became involved by the name of Quentin, who had to refund my concession stand money but after I told him what happened, he agreed with me. That woman should have been asked to either put up her phone or leave; not me!!! I told Quentin, this is a reason I would tell everyone I know, to go to another movie theater like AMC or Sony. It’s obvious this Austell Regal theater, doesn’t want to keep their customers because they don’t know how to handle ignorant people like that woman. Again, if you aren’t capable of running a business, then why are you in management…

I usually read the Unilocal reviews on just about every place I go, before I go. I didn’t this time, and I certainly regret it. Multiple reviews mention that the theaters smell like urine. They REEK of urine. It was so bad that I changed my clothes when I got home because I could swear I still smelled it. I was in theater 21 and it was awful. Multiple reviews mention kids making noise and management not doing anything about it. This is true as well. I was here with my husband to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens which is rated PG-​13. The family behind us carried on a conversation during nearly all of the movie. They had a child with them who was likely about 4 years old. He spent the bulk of the movie yelling questions about Star Wars (which his family felt obliged to loudly answer) and climbing on and kicking seats. The concessions are definitely over-​priced. But who can enjoy eating popcorn with the smell of urine so heavy in the air? Yes, the theater is dated, and the chairs aren’t comfortable, but i could live with that without the yelling kid and the smell. Take my advice, read the reviews and believe them! I know I won’t go back.

Loud! There were kids talking throughout the movie and parading up and down the aisles. Management would not do anything about it! There is security here and nobody would stop the film and demand quiet in the theatre. Ridiculous! And yes, all the other comments about is being smelly are accurate as well. If it was a $ 1 theater it would be too much.

Very high drink and food costs. $ 5 for a small drink, $ 6 for a tiny popcorn. As if it’s not enough that they get over $ 10 for a matinée ticket to a standard definition movie. Plus the theaters smell musty and are too cold. I’d go somewhere else.

This theater was disgusting! It’s dated, seats don’t recline and it smelled like cat urine throughout!!! My girlfriend and I were so skeeved out by the whole place and weren’t comfortable even watching the film.

The line mainly, and we were there a half hour before the movie we wanted to see started. We did not make it through the line in that half hour and decided to leave. I didn’t go inside but the place looks very dated. I will only consider trying to go to this theater again as a last resort.

Not a recliner seat type of theater that’s if prefer (lol) however the seats are comfortable. Pretty large location with plenty of seating. Get there early when new movie releases to avoid extremely long lines and I heard this location has $ 2 or $ 3 movies during certain days of the week. Call and confirm first :)

Love the fact this movie theatre is convenient to my home. On Tuesdays they have a reduced ticket which is nice. The restrooms are usually clean. Only complaint is that inside the theater the floors are always super sticky. I mean I know it’s a theater but they are worse than normal.

This theater is NOT the business. No one took our bought tickets; we just walked in. None of the token machines worked and $ 6 for a medium drink. First and last time at this spot.

Am raising the rating, since my last review. We go just about every Tuesday, and I have never ever had a bad experience. The employees in particular are always courteous and helpful. The auditoriums and toilet facilities are always kept absolutely spotless, exceptionally clean. Today, the cashier even took the time to explain to us the benefits of getting a Regal movie card, because she said she sees us coming every Tuesday. We are senior citizens, and most Tuesdays this is where we go, unless we are out of town. Again, I have to say Thank You to Regal for providing us with a very reasonably priced venue to go to for entertainment and relaxation. And yes, Tuesday movies are still priced at the bargain price of $ 6.

A movie theatre has to be really bad to get less than a three. What do you expect it to be…1) clean, 2) right temperature for the season, 3) good service at ticket counter and concessions, 4) popcorn has to be FRESH. So based on these criteria we gave it a 3.
It’s generally clean and we’ve not experienced any foul odor like other reviewers have mentioned and we’ve been going for over 5 years.
The lines can be long, but we avoid long ticket lines by using the kiosk inside which is much quicker.
concession line are usually long so we always get there a bit early. Customer service at ticket line and concessions is usually manned by teenagers so you should expect a certain level of customer service, lol.
The popcorn should always be fantastic (fresh, warm, all kernels popped) and unfortunately it has been lacking. Let’s be honest — nothing is worse at the movies than looking forward to a good bucket of popcorn and being disappointed by what you receive. This is pretty much all a theatre has to prepare and it seems simple, yet it’s hit or miss.
The décor is a bit dated, but nothing that would make me not want to see a movie there. Chairs are comfortable, spaced appropriately and have plenty of cup holding space.
There are also a few video games, and a birthday room if you want to reserve it for a party.
Regal Rewards program is a huge plus for us too because we are big movie buffs, so when we receive free tickets, popcorn or drinks we feel like we’re getting a thank you for our patronage. it’s a nice gesture on their part.
Tuesdays are $ 6 movie day which is a great deal and they also offer children’s films during the summer for a special rate.
I don’t have any reason to tell someone not to go to Regal, so go enjoy yourself.

Little bit of a dates theatre, but all in all we had a good time. The service was good and we got exactly what you would expect from a theatre.

This place sticks. Theater 18 smells like urine. This is insane. My first and last visit all in the same day. Makes no sense. People don’t bring this place your money so many other and better choices. The A/​C was on the blink the even the hallways smelled stale and moldy. Enter at your own risk. You can’t have a theater in GA with so so air conditioning. I don’t know the manager but you need to open the register and go to the Walmart up the street and invest in about 50 bottles of febreeze, TODAY!

This movie theater is not necessarily a 2 rating, but more 2.5. The only reason and only day that I go here is on Tuesdays because they have $ 6 movies all day. Y’all know the movie theater industry is a rip off, so it’s worth the visit on this day. Theater needs updating to me, it’s a bit dated.

Yes. Urine.
Apparently, when you have to take a leak in this theater, you just whip it out and … go. Or pop a squat and do yo’ thang. Because the stench of it was so overwhelming that, for the majority of the movie, I couldn’t help but allow my eyes to wander up and down the rows of seats, wondering where one allowed themselves to empty their bladder. I just hoped and prayed it wasn’t on my seat.
There was hardly anyone here on a Sunday night, so the crowds were minimal. Plus, it’s Austell, so the crowds are never that crazy. The theater looked clean; the employees were nice. Then again, it wasn’t that busy. But that stench? Oh, my word. Just horrific. How does management and the other employees not notice? Someone has to get in touch with a cleaning crew or something to get rid of that smell. Geez.
The movie sucked, which I know has nothing to do with the condition, appearance, or service of the theater, but after an hour and a half of my nose being assaulted with the smell of strong, beer-​smelling piss, that was just the cherry on top. We’ll head on down to AMC next time. Ugh!

Just saw the 10:20 showing of Dark Shadows.
But this isn’t a movie review. So I’ll be brief.
This is the first time I’ve ever been in a movie theater and actually had to remove my sweater because it was too warm. And the theater we were in smelled a little like urine. Yep. Good, old-​fashioned urine. Definitely not ammonia. .. but urine. It was very odd.
I will say that we got a great deal on the tickets — and the place was almost deserted — so we pretty much had the run of the theater. Spent a while after the movie — being goofy and taking pictures in the lobby with the faux movie sets.
Hmmm. What else? I’m trying to think of some other positive thing I can say. I like to end my reviews on a positive, upbeat note!

Restrooms were very clean. Which is really odd seeing as how if I expected to smell urine, this is where it would be. .. instead of the actual theater…
