Forehand operated Whispers with his Wife Terry and Son Dustin for three years until he passed away in 2002 from Leukemia. Since then, Terry and Dustin have been through many ups and downs along the way but have managed to not only stay open but thrive in an up and down economy. Whispers recently celebrated its 15th anniversary and are looking forward for many to come.
Meet the Manager
Dustin F.
Manager
Born and raised in Denver, the first time Dustin ever donned the black slacks and white button up shirt to work in one of his father’s restaurants, he was a mere 5 years old. Delivering sugar and creamers to late night/early morning breakfast customers in a huge dumpy bar in the middle of Denver’s industrial area. In his grade school years, washing dishes in his Dad’s kitchen was a common punishment for the young boy. By the age of 14, he was given his first shift as a bartender (completely illegal). In the year 2000, Colorado Law changed the legal age of bartending from 21 to 18. At this time, 18 year old Dustin became Colorado’s first legal 18 year old bartender. At the age of 19, his Father died and he has been General Manager ever since.
