Where To Towing

Had my wife and three kids in the car when we got a flat tire. Called this guy, he picked up right away. He said if I wanted him to come out, it would be $ 60 to fix a flat tire. I already had the lug-​nuts off, just couldn’t pop the tire off. He was able to walk me through how to get the tire off and save me some money in the mean time. Although I did not receive a tow from him, he was very professional and understanding of the situation.

45 min later than time quoted but they still had me where I needed to be on time. My tow was $ 65 for 5.5 miles and I was in Aurora (Their website says $ 50 for 5 miles anywhere in Aurora). $ 65 was the best priced I found in a time crunch though. Staff was super friendly and accommodating.

I didn’t actually have this guy do a tow. I called him the first time, he said hi and I started to talk and the line disconnected, so giving him the benefit of the doubt i called back and left a voice mail requesting a tow for a specific time and to call me with details. That was 8 hours ago now. This guy says he is open ²⁴⁄₇. If that’s true, return your damn voice mail within a two hour period, loser. I guess he just decided he’s fat and happy and doesn’t need any more tows for the weekend or something, still NOT very professional.

When I called to make the appointment, Nader simply said «Hi, this is a tow truck.» They then showed up 15 minutes late without an explanation except for a missed phone call (and didn’t leave a message). As Nader was preparing to hitch up my car, he said, without a trace of humor, «I’m getting too old for this.» Not the kind of thing I want to hear from a tow truck driver.
Nader charged me $ 65 for only a few miles (Jewell & Peoria to a repair shop at Iliff & Valentia); website says they start at $ 50, so I don’t know how Peter H was able to pay $ 5 less for a longer tow. I also have to make my check out to Nader himself instead of his business because his bank apparently charges him too much to cash or deposit checks.
Next time I need a tow (like to get my car home, which is a totally different story), I’ll go with one of the trucks that Progressive sent me in the past.
