University of Colorado – Denver – Anschutz Medical Campus

Whoop whoop best school ever!!! Great medical and health care professionals programs as well as an extensive graduate school programs. Apply if you are considering it is an amazing school! They also have a dental office, university hospital and children’s hospital on the campus!

I am currently doing my masters in nursing here. The admission process was fair. I’m doing the PNP program which isn’t as competitive as the FNP, but I hear the FNP is very competitive at all colleges. The professors I have met so far have been incredible. They are very approachable, willing to help, and spend the time to get you where you want to be. I love that the professors here have to actively practice and the school of nursing sets up clinicals for students. That is a huge help. They rank highly in comparison to other colleges. The building itself is very nice and well kept. Great technological advances. My biggest complaint is paying for parking. It doesn’t seem fair for students to pay high rates of tuition and have to pay to park on top of all the other fees.

If you have insurance, do not come to this hospital. They charge you an arm and a leg for basic services.

I hate how often that I am here, however this is the best hospital that I have ever had to spend time at. Every nurse and doctor I have encountered has been wonderful.

Though the brand new hospital has a very efficient emergency room, sadly U of C still hasn’t got a handle on housekeeping. The emergency room my friend was seen is was pretty disgusting. Drops of blood or other fluid on the curtain, along with a weird black (mold/​fungus) mark we were told was from the door. Sure.
The walls and floors had only been sort of wiped down. Not impressed.
I really appreciate the speed of check in and the friendly staff, but ew.

Not very impressed. My wife’s neurologist, who also happens to be a professor, seems to be too busy to actually pay attention to her patient who’s situation has digressed over the past 3 years. We are currently waiting for MRI results that were done 4 weeks ago. They managed to send us a bill, but nobody has had time to go over the results with us. If you are driving from out of town to see this so-​called «best» facility in Neurology, I would think again!

Very nice, very clean, very modern hospital.
My wife get’s all her medical done here and to date we’ve been very pleased. MRI’s, brain surgery, chemo etc.
I will caution it’s a training hospital so expect some young people in the early stages of education. I would caution one not to get into the mental health department. There is nothing more dangerous than an inexperienced Psychologist.

The campus is state of the art and is still growing. The new buildings are beautiful and the grounds are decorated with public art. The campus has a row of restaurants and cafes that service the huge campus.
Getting around can be a bit confusing because driveways are similar to the roads but aren’t marked with signs. Once you know what you are doing it becomes much easier to maneuver.
They kept the old Army Medical Hospital building, which is an iconic structure in Aurora. The cool thing is that you can get a new perspective of the building from the taller structures that now surround it.
The medical school is highly ranked and provides excellent care to it’s patients. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Our mother is in the Intensive Care Neurology unit and our nurses and doctors are wonderful. In our family we have been to many hospitals with minor injuries. the bed side manor cant get any better. Thank you to our Nurses. You are all so amazing
