History

Established in 1983.

What memories do you have of Grandma’s house? If it smelled of lavender and had vases of roses sitting on a fine antique table with a teapot filled with steaming tea, then you have stumbled upon it here in Aurora, Oregon but with a twist: you can transfer these same favorite memories into your own surroundings. We began with this vision which included antique furniture, fine china and a gift shop filled with beautiful nostalgia, creating seasonal accents that have enticed visitors back time after time over the last 30 years. Always with a vintage connection, we have evolved with the tastes of our customers to include colors and styles that fit them today while always offering products that maximize the use of their favorite antiques and heirlooms.

Meet the Business Owner

Karen T.

Business Owner

Karen is a former department store manager/buyer and home ec grad who never saw a home décor magazine go untouched. Translating this love of surroundings into a shop in 1983, she has seen her clientele grow and evolve by generations. Settling in the tiny village of Aurora in 1981 from a home in Seattle, this mother and grandmother has found that small town life suits very well, especially when so much of the world comes into her shop door every day. She writes a popular quarterly newsletter and a weekly blog.
