Established in 2006.

I have worked in grooming shops, since I was 13 years old. Many, were great places to work. The one thing I didn’t like, with all the places were how many dogs were there at one time. Dogs were nervous, it was loud, and not very relaxing. I didn’t like to «rush», to get the dog groomed, so I could hurry to the next one. I want the groom to be a pleasant experience, it ends up better for both of us! I want the dog to enjoy the grooming process, not be scared. Over the years, I have been the groomer of many «mean» dogs, that other groomers won’t touch. Tender Touch Dog Styling came to be in 2006, so I can take the time pet needs to have a «happy» groom.

I have been an animal lover all my life. Was raised with dogs, rabbits, hamsters, reptiles, fish, and horses. At 13, I was persistent, at the grooming shop I passed on the bus, going home from school. After many calls, they finally agreed to let me come in to «help». I learned the proper way to bathe, dry and brush-​out dogs. I found out that I had a connection with dogs what were aggressive or scared. They taught me the basics of grooming. In my younger years, I have worked at pet shop’s, again, animal related. After High school, I worked for a very short time in «corporate» America. That’s when I realized, that wasn’t for me. I went back and apprenticed with one of the groomers that gave me the bathing job, for many years. That was over 20 years ago. I attend yearly continuing education seminars, have also competed, and placed, in several grooming competitions. I have worked at several grooming shops over the years. Becoming home based has been my best decision!
