Independent coffee shop owned by two lovely people with a young baby. Great location. Delicious aromas in the air and they are working on completing a kitchen to offer breakfast fare. Yummy latte’s! Go local!

Unfortunately this appears to be a coffee shop opened by someone who thought it may be a nice to have one as a hobby. I came in at 10 and the kid behind the counter was flustered, saying he overslept and didn’t have anything ready for the day. I would normally sympathize except this isn’t the first time I have arrived and it appeared to be still closed. No bakery items in the case– isn’t it a bakery?– and the barista couldn’t remember my drink order… A small iced latte. He then charged me for and gave me a large. Also, the quality of the espresso is not good. I would be very surprised if they got their beans locally, which would likely mean a fresh flavor. Instead, it tasted old and quite burnt. Décor is fairly nice and neat, but looks sparse and the lack of customers every time is a bit off-putting. The barista then proceeded to tell me unsolicited how much he is over worked and how tired he is all the time. I was uncomfortable, feeling like I was somehow adding to his stress by being there. Was glad to leave. Won’t be going back after two bad visits. This is a place that needs to take itself more seriously.

Nice place, good minimal décor, well air conditioned, and good coffee. I took a star off because it’s usually empty, the after 4pm the sun gets intense making it difficult to look at a laptop screen, the pastry selection is either empty or few to choose from, and they still don’t have food after 4 months of being open despite the advertisement on the menu. I took another star off as the last time I was there trying to get some reading done, a customer and the barista were just hanging out talking about Jesus nonstop which was extremely distracting. Despite wearing my headphones to block out their no stop chatter, after 2 hours of talking about God and Jesus nonstop(I’m not exaggerating) I gave up as I couldn’t focus and left. I wouldn’t take off a star for this if it were customers talking to each other, but this was a customer and the barista talking to each other — totally unprofessional and inappropriate. I still like this place, but won’t be going back anytime soon. I just hope they can get their act together and take advantage of a good thing that can become very good if they take it more seriously.

Highly disappointed in this place. My first clue should have been the totally empty place when I walked in. It was literally just me and the kid working behind the counter. So where to start? 1. The kid working clearly didn’t know what he was doing. He had a really difficult time keeping straight my two simple drink orders. I had to tell him at least 5 times which type of milk and size for each drink. I also have 4+ years experience myself as a barista and could tell he was clueless. 2. They were completely out of VANILLA syrup. No backup bottles… with the excuse that they«get busy».(I’m sure…) This is clearly business inexperience in action. 3. NODECAF. At all. How can you be a coffee shop and not have ANY decaf!?! 4. The pastry case was totally empty in the middle of the day. Aren’t they supposed to be a «bakery»? 5. The drinks, as I expected, we’re not good. The espresso shots were not pulled properly and the milk was not steamed well. I will not be returning. Honestly, I’ll be suprised if they last much longer… It’s a shame. I love to find small coffee shops and support them over Starbucks.

The Unilocal page claims this business opens at 7 am. The coffee shop’s door claims it opens at 8 am. I can’t tell you when it actually opens since I was there with my toddler and wasn’t about to wait for however long it took for someone to show up. All I know is the place was not open at 8 am or 15 minutes after that and there weren’t any signs that anyone was planning on opening soon. No cars in the front or anything. I also saw day old pastries through the glass which is gross since I doubt they sell them for any less than full price. No coming back.

They were posted to open at 8AM. They still had no sign of anybody being around at 8:30. There were baked goods that could be seen from the window, still left from the night before… If a place can’t even open!

Coffee was good, and inexpensive. Service was very friendly and fast. They lose a star because of their location and they don’t have everything they say they should have; they blame their vendors, and hope to have all of their products soon. So, we’ll see how they are in a few more months, but I know I plan on returning.

This place has a great ambience, excellent service, and, most importantly, great espresso drinks. It blows many coffee shops in the Denver metro area away. So glad there is something like this in aurora :) this is my new go-to coffee shop.
