I cannot say enough about how great Dr. Tom is as a OBGYN. He took great care of me and my daughter during my pregnancy. Great bed side manner and a truly honest, dedicated doctor. If he seems rushed, it is because he has many patients and he is busy. However, he cares so much, so give him some wiggle room. He will give you the best care!

Go ahead, make fun of me. I scheduled my yearly exam the same day as my birthday. But there’s a reason for this. A few years ago, my primary physician(who did my yearly exam at the time), got some of my test results back that weren’t so good. I had to be referred to Dr. Tom, because I was going to need some follow-up treatment. I was hesitant to have a male OBGYN, but I’ve never regretted the decision to stick with Dr. Tom after my first visit. I have had several appointments with him over the years, and he has been very thorough and relatable when explaining to me what was wrong, what had to be done to fix it, and follow up care. Back to present day, I’m back to yearly exams with Dr. Tom and all is okay in my world again. My insurance covers this yearly, and since I have had serious problems in the past, I don’t want to make my yearly exam any later than I have to. So there you have it — my birthday. Easy to remember. Dr. Tom is very personable. Many times he’s told me about his son’s little league team, which may be completely random, but it distracts from the fact that there’s an instrument holding your lady bits wide open. It can be tough scheduling an appointment here. Rush Copley has a good reputation and a network of doctors all referring multiple people everywhere. The best thing you can do it schedule as far in advance as you can if you have a specific date or time in mind. I would NOT recommend scheduling appointments in the evening. I have waited an hour in the waiting room for women to waddle out with their husbands in tow. But any time I’ve had an appointment during the day, I don’t think I’ve spent more than 10 – 15 minutes in the waiting room and maybe another 10 in the exam room — if even that. My most recent appointment, I was in and out in just over 30 minutes.
