Rocky Mountain Urgent Care

If this were last year I would be leaving 5 stars. This is why I came here today. I have been coming here for years. But after waiting for 3 hours and hearing a front desk person say in conversation about food, «I eat alot of penis.» And nurse practioner Miller doing everything she can to NOT help or care… I am very very frustrated. Why didn’t I get to see a doctor anyway? Who is nurse Miller to refuse me a flu test when I show all the symptoms. I overheard her conversation in the hallway with the other nurse and she said its because Tamiflu won’t do anything after two days anyway. So I tested negative for strep and she sent me on my way. I have been sleeping about 20 hours a day while experiencing massive night sweats, low blood pressure, mild hallucinations, nausea, diarrhea, painful swollen throat, and nearly passing out upon standing multiple times. Okay so I don’t have strep. But something is definitely wrong with me. Seriously wrong with me! I waited 3 hours have someone to spend two minutes with me that were incredibly aggravating. Rocky Mountain health care you are not what you used to be. Thanks for nothing but a waste of my day!

Where to begin. The person at the front desk was more interested in playing on his phone than doing his job. It took him 30+ minutes to get me entered into the system. It took another 60+ minutes before I was taken to a room. After that, I waited 25 or so minutes for the doctor. This is where things got really exciting. He told me I should follow up with my PCP and asked who it was. I told him I do not have one at the moment, since my previous PCP does not accept Medicaid. He said in a rude and sarcastic manner, «maybe they are trying to tell you something». I was tired and ignored it. Later on, he went to the restroom and did not wash his hands. You may be asking yourself «how does he know that»? I know tha t because I had to use the restroom after he did and the sink was completely dry. Disgusting! When I checked in, a question was what pharmacy would I prefer to have my prescription sent to. Well, the incompetency continues here. Not only did they not quality in the first three times I asked for it, they called it in to the wrong pharmacy. End of story.

Why does my shoulder still hurts so bad? I went to Rocky urgent care Yesterday to get it looked at and the Doc said I had a irritated muscle. He told me to put ice on it. But, right now it is almost unbearable. Sure would have been nice to get an xray and a sling. Or something after such a long wait. I hear I should have gone to the ER. I might end up doing that if this pain does not ease up.

This location is awesome. There is usually a bit of a wait, which is normal, but I’ve been here twice and I only have to pay $ 25.00 co-​pay and insurance always takes care of the rest. It would be better if they had a bit more staff on site to decrease wait times, but hey, medical care without an appointment is great. P. S. I think some of these reviews on here are the hospital across the street. This location doesn’t have an ER or capability to do X-​rays, etc.

DO NOT COME TO this facility! It is awful. I have been here almost two hours and still have not been seen. I was told it would be about an hour (which everyone else was told too). I really felt sorry for a lady who had twins about 1 ½ years old, one of which was sick. She left before her child could be seen.
It’s worth the drive to go somewhere else if you live near this facility! I have been to other urgent care facilities and this is by far the worst one! I am leaving myself as I walked up to the desk to check on the status only to be told there were two other people in front of me.

My husband cut his head open and needed stitches. We were closer to here than Kaiser and he was bleeding quite a bit. No one seemed to be too interested and finally someone came out and cleaned the spot on his head. After 1 ½ hours he finally saw a Dr. They don’t prioritize so they take anyone ahead of you no matter what the problem. They also get the payment up front. Good physician asst took care of him. When we came back to get the stitches out we waited two hours before they took him back and then another hour before someone came to the room and that was after he went to complain. Once again no prioritizing. It would have taken five mins to remove the stitches. The people at the front desk and some of the other staff don’t seem to care about their job or the patients. The sad thing is in an emergency you don’t have time to shop around for an emergency room.

I waited for more than an hour for a basic pre-​employment physical. There was no one else in the clinic, and people working seemed in no hurry to help.

I was skeptical since the reviews weren’t all that great but at 9pm on a Sunday when no-​one else is open, you just get desperate. They were great! We were in and out in an hour. The guy at the front desk was really nice, as was the nurse that took us back. When the doctor came in, she checked everything out and we left with a prescription. The security guard watched to make sure we made it to our car ok.
We had lab results back as promised. We needed some follow up care and again, an excellent response from the staff, the nurses and the doctor!

First off I’m not rating this on wait times. I was in severe pain to where I could barely walk. I was in tears when she started pushing around my belly. She chuckled trying to help me sit up as if that’s funny. My result? I’m bloated and just sore from working out. Told me I probably caught a bug and to start doing light stretching? That was my second bad experience here. I should have known better. Months earlier I was sent home when I was in pain and found later I had symptoms of OHHS. This place is a waste of your time and a joke. Lastly, the girl at the front desk is unfriendly. My experience was very unwelcoming. Not used to a receptionist acting like she hates her job and ready to be done with me. I learned my lesson. I only left one star because you have to.

This hospital has a very loose definition of urgent and the interior is hideous. However, that’s the least of its concerns.
My mother, brother and I arrived after a car accident at 6 PM yesterday. After we arrived, floods of people came. Almost all had kids and only two were in dire need. They were seen first. Meanwhile, my family had to wait until midnight before being discharged. We had to wait until eight at night to be taken to the back and waited another three hours before we got our
X-​rays done.
Our doctor seemed competent enough but he was a little fatter than you’d expect. Not the best impression for a health professional. Also, he left the privacy curtain open at one point.
The staff seems competent but can get snarky, so if you snark back, they will be more polite. In fact, their competency with x-​rays is the only reason why I am giving this hospital its only star. I’m hoping to have to get a second opinion.

Multiple reviews complain about wait times here but I’m quite certain if I had gone to a normal emergency room I would have been there for 6 to 8 hours instead of 2.
Was worried by reviews I read staff would be rude and unpleasant but found quite the opposite. Abby Drake PA was the best!! professional pleasant and humorous I was out of there in two hours start to finish including x-​rays and prescription in hand to heal my hip

I was in town and had a severe sore throat. First off, you’d better have insurance or money. they will not even see you without it… In my state, they have to treat you regardless so… Anyway, Dr looks at my throat and says nothing he can do… sends me on my way. So I hot liquid and cough drop my way through my visit. I see my regular Dr when I get home (Throat stll bad) and he provides me a RX for Clindomycin. All better 3 days later… so…you decide.

My god. Waited in the first waiting room for an hour, waited in the second waiting room for about 30 minutes, and now I am waiting in the third waiting room where it is really hot nothing to drink and I’ve been here for over an hour. I have watched people who came here after me get treated first. Won’t ever risk coming here again. I can hear other patients complaining outside the waiting room about how they’ve been here for over four hours and still haven’t seen a doctor. Wow… At least when the nurse and doc finally got to me they were nice. They really were good people

This place was horrible, save your money. I only went because it was urgent and they were the only place open– I’d rather go to ER next time though, lesson learned. Should’ve read the reviews earlier. Super unprofessional staff, long waits, overcharged, dirty facility– never again.

This place is just ridiculous. If I wanted to be treated like i didnt matter id have stayed home and called the dmv

Countless problems in long waits to be seen, wrong medical file sent to hospital, and improper billing to my insurance. Do not go here.

Worst excuse for a medical center in Denver. It is borderline criminal. My wife went in the first time and was told she was fine. Got a second opinion and she had mono and hepetitis. She almost died. Don’t ask me why but we went back, convenience I guess. After a second opinion she had a shattered ear drum and severe infection. This places diagnosis?? She had a cold. How these «Doctors» got their licenses is beyond me. We are really considering a malpractice lawsuit since both visits were handled with incompetence. WORST MEDICAL FACILITY EVER. DON’T GO HERE.

This place is conveniently located my my office but it’s always a struggle to get anything done right. Last time I set an appointment online and they never got it even thought I had a confirmation email. Because the last doctor I saw no longer works here they will not fill my prescription until I see one of their current Dr’s. I had to call 4 times to get them to fax over my script to the pharmacy. If it wasn’t for location and the hassle of finding another Dr I think I’d walk out right now. There is a guy at the counter pissed that they lost his blood sample from last week. UGGH!

If you have a choice don’t come here. I made an appt over the phone and wasn’t told which office to go to so I inquired at the first desk which was urgent care to get an attitude from the urgent care receptionist. My appointment was an hour ago and I’m still waiting…

I came here for a chest X-​ray to check for TB and had a pleasant experience. The wait time was under an hour and filling out paper work was rather straight forward and painless. I waited about 15 – 20 minutes after the nurse checked my vitals and a technician came in and got my X-​ray. The images were directly given to the radiologist who confirmed the results and I was sent out and on my way with my results within 20 minutes after the image was taken.
They accept most health insurances and there is or isn’t a co-​pay depending on what your insurance entails. Otherwise a normal visit could cost you up to $ 500.

I went to Rocky Mountain Urgent Care about a month ago. The doctor saw me for all of about 5 – 10 minutes and ultimately mis-​diagnosed my problem. I was having severe pain due to a throat infection which ultimately was «remedied» by telling me to take some aspirin. This 5 – 10 minute visit ended up costing $ 350+ of which I had discounted (by my insurance) to about $ 170. If you need to go to an urgent care, I recommend you go elsewhere for the cost that they charge. Essentially the doctor made $ 900/​hour at least all the while diagnosing my problem incorrectly.
