I cannot say enough good about the work that Max did to save my data. When my USB Flash Drive just stopped working, I was at a total loss about what to do. I went to Micro Center and they referred me to a computer lab that quoted an outrageous price for the recovery. Something made me look at options for Data Recovery on Unilocal,and that was how I found Max and Qubex. All too often, tech company personnel can be a bit robotic and totally process oriented. With Max it was totally different, from the initial phone conversation to the follow through, Max was personable, supportive and most of all understood how traumatizing losing data can be. He prioritized me as a client/​person first and then dealt with the process of recovering the data. He quoted what I thought was a fair price, especially given what the lab had quoted, and also reminded me about a deal voucher that I could obtain on Unilocal.He quoted two weeks and was done in just over a week. Looks like they recovered all my data. My advice: 1. back up often; use Cloud storage and when things do go wrong, call Max, he will fix it right.

Our Promise NAS backup has served us well until yesterday, when it has failed. No one would be able to connect to it and we store all our documents and financials on it. Its the end of the year and we needed all documents for tax purposes so we called around to find good, local, professional data recovery company that would help us recovering everything ASAP. Mike was professional and has described recovery process in great details and offered free evaluation with no strings attached, so we decided to give it a try. Data was recovered within promised time frame with competitive pricing, if compared against competition.

I have always said, if my house burned down, as long as the family was safe and my hard drives made it out, I would not be worried about losing anything else. Well, the other day, my house did NOT burn down, but my mirrored hard drive failed. A very expensive 6TB mirrored drive. So, in theory it is its own backup. However, both drives failed simultaneously! Unheard of, said the manufacturer. Yes, it happened and I was on the hook.
Yes, I had the majority of the information also backed up off site — but definitely not all of it. The drive was 9 months into a 3 years warranty — however — the warranty does not cover data recovery. So — it was Qubex to the rescue. I found the on Unilocal and am so glad I did. They worked for several weeks getting to the root of the problem — even working with the vendor to uncover the complexity of the failure. Never charging me a dime for the diagnosis.
When they did identify the problem, they recovered my data in a few short days. They were great about updating me with status and in responding to questions. I have since bought a secondary backup for my backup on top of my offsite backup. I suspect, I will never have this experience again with this drive, however, I would not hesitate to call Qubex with any other future computer repair needs. They were great to work with!

I had a bad hard drive that was no longer recognized by the computer and had the click of death. I tried my own methods to recover the data on the hard drive, but was unsuccessful. After doing some searches, I found Qubex. They were very friendly and helpful. The drive was in bad condition, but after their diagnosis, they were able to retrieve 100% of the data. They were very fast in their communications (I even got responses back in the evening) and upfront with what the condition was of my drive. Before paying anything, they let me preview all the data they recovered and even sent me a screenshot beforehand of what they got. their prices were fair and their approach to the project is a great example of how things should be done.
The experience felt like I was dealing with a good friend. I am glad I found Qubex and am happy to recommend them.

I highly recommend Max and Qubex for data recovery.
I simultaneously had my old MacBook and LaCie external hard drive fail. The LaCie hard drive would not mount on the new laptop I ended up purchasing as well as was making a clicking noise, which all of the online reviews says is a mechanical failure. I tried installing recovery software from the internet that LaCie recommended and that showed no data was able to be recovered. I had 300 GB of pictures, movies, word files, etc. that I have accumulated over the past 10 – 15 years that seemed irretrievably lost.
I researched online pretty thoroughly for data recovery specialists and saw Qubex’s great reviews. Max told me that he would perform a diagnostic to evaluate the problem with the disk then give me a quote. He then recovered the data and let me go through the files to make sure I was satisfied prior to paying the quoted price. Max provided a very COMPETITIVE and REASONABLE price. The turnaround time was EXTREMELY FAST. He recovered ALL OF THE DATA.

I am new to the area and have never needed data recovery before, so I was pretty clueless about what to do when my 5-​year-​old MacBook decided to give up on life. I was ironically just prepping for a long overdue backup at the very moment it crashed… never to power on again. (Totally my fault for not being better with backups — lesson learned.)
My first stop was the Apple Store, but while they said they could probably restore my computer (not my goal), they didn’t give me good odds for recovering any of the data. The guy at Apple said that if the data was my priority, I should take the computer to a data recovery company, but that it can get expensive. Oh geez! I was not excited to proceed with this.
After stalling for a few days, I Googled local data recovery companies and stumbled upon Thumbtack, a site I’d never heard of, but it was awesome. I put in my zip code and my issue, and then local companies received my request and had the option of contacting me directly. Within 10 minutes, I think I had heard back from at least 6 people! Everyone seemed very friendly and helpful, but Max’s note stood out for some reason. I just got a good vibe! I called him, and immediately knew that I wanted to work with him. It was clear that he genuinely cared about my situation, and he is just a super nice guy.
After I dropped off my computer, Max very quickly did the diagnostic and contacted me with the good news — he could get my stuff! We discussed the cost, since of course it depends on the type of work required, and he was SO kind and reasonable. I gave him the green light to go ahead with the recovery, and it was done within a couple of days (and I had even told him I didn’t need it right away). He kept me informed with texts throughout the process, which I greatly appreciated!
I now have all of my beautiful data on an external hard drive! Before I even took it home, he let me explore the drive contents on his own Apple computer (I will be accessing it from my new MacBook), and I could verify that everything was there and that I knew how to get to it.

After spilling water on my MacBook Air, I thought all my data was lost. Apple told me they could repair my computer but not recover my data. I found Qubex using a Google search and was lucky I did! Qubex Data Recovery is Awesome! Don’t let the small front office fool you, these guys have the skills and equipment to recover your data!
I first went to an «Other» establishment with my wife’s bad Lenovo SSD drive and they said the drive couldn’t be read, but they could recover the data for $ 800. Qubex was one of the few places that let me bring a SSD drive in to check its readability, and I called around to at least 6 other shops (wanting $ 600 — $ 1700 deposits to read the SSD). Max first attempted to read the mSATA in one of his laptops, and it was unreadable. He later connected it to one of his servers and was able to see all the data on the drive! He let my wife and me verify the data we needed off the drive and moved all on to a portable drive for us, at a substantially lower price than the other companies would have charged!
I hope I never have to use Qubex for data recovery again, but it’s great knowing such an awesome company is out there to help in the event of that kind of problem occurs again.
I will certainly use their services for data recovery, hardware problems, software problems and any malware infections, especially for friends and relatives systems!

I worked with Quebex to recover data off a failed hard drive from an HP laptop. After several calls and some outrageous quotes I found Qubex and they offered to do a free analysis on the drive to determine what could be recovered, then gave a reasonable quote for the data recovery. The service was excellent — fast turn around, frequent communication and most importantly they were able to recover the family photos I was so desperate to have!

This is THE place to go for data recovery. I had a hard drive completely fail a couple years back and everyone I took it to could not access it, let alone recover the data. At one point I went to Denver Data Recovery who wanted $ 1200 to recover my data. Discouraged, I let the drive sit on my shelf for two years. I came across Qubex in Unilocal and decided that since they were close to my house I would see what they had to say about my hard drive.
Best decision I’ve made in a while. Max was incredibly friendly and helpful. They were able to recover ALL my data, in a time frame faster than originally quoted and expected and for half the cost of what Denver Data (or anyone else) wanted. I had an external hard disk set on table for backup and cat jumped and «hooked» cable with his tail. so disk fell off, after re-​connection it clicked… baaad! I had an HP mini hard drive crash about 6 months ago. I started searching online for people and I found Qubex Data Recovery. I called them and Max came to my home to look at my computer.
