History

Established in 1995.

PLanet Beach Tanning Spa began with one tanning salon in the Uptown district of New Orleans, Louisiana in April of 1995.

In 2005, Steven had a self-​described «moment of inspiration»: why not expand Planet Beach into a full service day spa and make it affordable to the average citizen? Steve said «Our industry was changing, demand for tanning was diminishing and demand for day spa services was increasing. It became very clear to me that we needed to reposition our brand to become a more successful franchise and to better serve our customers.

At Planet Beach, our goal is to be an international one-​stop shop for beauty and wellness.

I have been with Planet Beach since May of 2012 and was promoted to Spa Director in July. It is so wonderful to enjoy coming to work everyday, and at a spa, what better place.

Interacting with my members is the best part of the job and knowing that the services are truly making a difference in people’s lives is also so rewarding.

We pride our self on great customer services and recently Saddle Rock won exceptional customer servicer for 2012 at the conventions this year. Yeah! I also won an Eagle Award of Rookie Spa Director for 2012. I strive for the best and that’s exactly what we offer her at Planet Beach Saddle Rock.
