Pet Loss At Home

This is a wonderful service. Our large dog got down and was not able to get back up. For us to move her down a flight of stairs and into a vehicle would have been stress and pain that she did not deserve after years of love and loyalty. We were so relieved that we found Dr. Trotsky to come to our home so that Gypsy to go to the Rainbow Bridge peacefully.

I am grateful to Unilocal for reviews and for finding this service. My cat, who had cancer, took a turn for the worse and was hospitalized. I found out that the chemo treatments hadn’t worked, and she had a couple of days to live. I called and spoke to Dr. Karen Twyning who let me know that I needed to just call them and they would send someone between 1– 3 hours. I planned to put her to sleep Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately her decline was much more rapid than originally thought, and I was desperate to get help. Every emergency service number I had been given by the in home Pet Euthanasia Directory went to voice mail, and my cat suffered unnecessarily.
I emailed Dr. Twyning and texted her, and as soon as they opened called. Karen was already in process of getting in contact with Dr. Karianne Trotsky who was within an hour from me. Dr. Trotsky drove as quickly as possible, and as she was aware of the situation, focused first on helping my cat pass and end her suffering upon arrival.
She was incredibly kind, and gentle, and was so helpful in helping us understand what was going to happen and the next steps. Once my cat passed, she walked us through our options. They facilitate everything needed after as well. She also helped us with our other cat who was bonded to the cat that passed and explaining how to help her to come to terms to what had just happened. I can’t even express how grateful I am for this service, their help, and Dr. Trotsky.
If you have a pet that is in their final days, there is no other service I would go to.
I would however talk through with them on the health of your pet and ensure that they weigh in on when to schedule things. Ensure that 24 hours services give you an emergency number so that you don’t deal with the voice mail at a very difficult time if you need them in case of an overnight emergency, but discuss everything with Pet Loss At Home as they can provide you with additional help and information.

First and foremost I never knew this type of service existed until a google search. It was impossible to sleep the night before knowing I had to make the phone call the next morning to set up a home euthanasia. The website is super informative and helpful.
Saturday, February 16^th at 8am I made the dreaded phone call knowing my 10 year old Doberman Pinscher was soon to be forever gone. Logan was suffering from heart failure and all the exams and pills could not cure the inevitable.
One thing however an in-​home euthanasia is far more comforting than a cold table at the vet’s office. We grow to love our pets like our own children and they deserve to have a comfortable forever silence. Dr. Trotsky handled the procedure with professionalism and care, she was an absolute sweetheart. Dr. T understood our situation and didn’t rush anything. We took are time said our goodbyes and would not have it any other way.

When Dr. Trotsky got here, I could tell she had already had a rough day, what a tough job. So why would one do it? Because it is a great service for those who love their pets and, when the time comes, would like to have them pass on in the comfort of their own homes. She was very loving to our dog and explained the process, and — though I cried — I knew that if we had taken him in anywhere, he would have been so scared. He was cozy and comfy in his own bed, with us petting him. She did a great job and I would definitely recommend her services. Everything went smoothly and we got to say goodbye to our little (17 year old) sweet puppy in a happy setting.

Dr. Trotsky was available the day we called her on a Saturday. She was very professional and gentle. We were able to say goodbye to our beloved dog while petting him in our own home. We had an excellent experience on a really tough day. I would recommend to anyone.
