Cannot delete my previous review mistakenly put for this company who’s name is nearly the same.
If anyone can tell me how to delete a post that would be awesome

Wish I could give them zero stars. Horrible customer service. I have an older garage that needed a new gasket at the bottom. the old one was torn up and frayed. My husband tried to fix it himself but it’s one solid piece attached to the metal fitting, so what Lowes carries doesn’t work. I called overhead door since their stickers were on the door as the original manufacturer. I specifically asked them to replace the gasket with a new one.
It took almost 2 weeks to get a technician out to our place. When he came, he literally tightened a few screws, spent no more than 15 minutes on our door and left us a bill for $ 142.50. I called the company back, and told them the technician did not do what I asked, which was replace the gasket. The customer service rep went round and round with me, would not listen to anything I had to say and talked over me. I finally has to shout at her to listen to me. I asked her to send another technician with the replacement part and not to charge us for the original visit. It was my understanding that she agreed to this, waved ALL the labor fees and we would be billed for the gasket only.
The second technician came out, said the original gasket wasn’t installed properly, put on the new one and left. I called the costumer service rep back to let her know what her said about the installation and to verify what our fee would be since he didn’t leave us a bill. The rep said she would mail a final bill to me.
Fast forward 9 months later. I never received the bill from the company and completely forgot about the whole thing. Suddenly I get a past due collection notice from the company for the full amount of the original bill. I call them up the day I received it, get no answer and leave a message. I follow up with another call three days later. Still can’t talk with a human being so I leave another message. I wait another week and do the same.
Then I get a really nasty threatening collection letter from them in the mail. The one has a persons extension on it instead of just the main number. I call and yet again, leave a message. The collections person finally calls me back. I try to tell him my story but he talks over me and constantly interrupts me. He won’t even give me the opportunity to talk simply saying over and over «I don’t care, you have a dept to pay and that’s all there is to it. You are refusing to pay and this is going to collections.»
I never refused to pay and I never received a bill. I was simply trying to clear up a misunderstanding. I was so frustrated I just wanted to have a civil conversation with some one from overhead door and it’s just not possible. Do not expect any kind of help or service from their «customer service.» They are just nasty and like another reviewer said, only interested in your money.

I called Overhead a couple of weeks ago after one of the springs broke for my garage door. Dave called me back right away and was able to get me in for an appointment the same day (on a Saturday, no less). He showed up at my house late in the evening and was here until almost 9pm. Dave was extremely friendly and helpful. He also greased the door a bit to reduce the noise level when the door would open and close (it sounded like a small animal was being tortured whenever the door would open or close) and also fixed one of the sensors which was improperly installed causing it to regularly point at the floor and cause the door to not function properly.

This company could not care less about providing a quality service or product. Let’s start from the beginning. We chose Overhead because it’s a company we recognized and has been around for a long time so we figured they must have a good product. The guy shows up to install it, then walks me through the demo of how it works. During that demo, the door sounds like it’s literally going to come crashing down on us. He says something just needs to be tightened and spends 2 more minutes looking busy. Then completes the demo and heads off.
We knew something wasn’t right as the door was shaking like crazy and making really loud popping sounds. We call up the sales guy, who comes out, takes a look at the door and just laughs. It was a ‘wow, that’s terrible’ laugh. So he calls out another installer who spent another hour actually doing what needed to be done to install the door properly. I asked him why the first guy did such a poor job and if he was new. He said they get paid by the install job not by the hour so he just wanted to get out of there. I guess I should appreciate his honesty?
Fast forward a few months and one of the remotes goes out. We didn’t tend to it for awhile as we sold one car and didn’t use it. We got another vehicle and got a new battery hoping that was the problem, but then another issue pops up: any button on the outside control panel attached to the house opens the garage door. Pretty awesome, huh? But luck was on our side! An Overhead door salesman was parked 30 yards from our garage door. My husband went over and asked if he could help real quick… maybe it needed to be reprogrammed? The guy wouldn’t get out of his truck. He’s 30 yards away from our garage door. He just says try reprogramming it and says if that doesn’t work head to the shop and get a different remote and panel. Thanks buddy!
So we walk through the reprogramming process with no luck and my husband calls the ‘shop’ to ask if they can help. She looks up our account and lo and behold our 1 year anniversary expired 2 days prior to the call and that any further assistance would come at a charge.
During no part of our interaction with this company did any employee make an effort to be helpful. You’re a check to them and nothing more. Had there been a couple of bad apples out of the half dozen people we interacted with, maybe you can excuse it. But if every person you deal with has virtually no concept of providing good service and actually trying to help customers, it’s a safe bet that’s who they are as a company.

Had the garage door installed in July. Repair has had to be out 3 times and it’s still not working right.

We had a problem programming our garage door keypad that is affixed outside our garage. After following instructions from Genie it was evident that the problem was not the keypad, but the overhead opener was not receiving the signal. We called Overhead Door Company and detailed our problem, asking for help to get the overhead opener to work with the keypad. They sent out a technician who was prompt and kind, so that wasn’t a problem. He pushed one button on the overhead opener and the problem was fixed. Then proceeded to charge $ 150 for the 5 minute visit. To justify the charge they ‘serviced’ my garage door for 10 minutes. I understand that they have a basic hourly fee, but I called to see if there was anything we could work out since the solution was ridiculously simple, and honestly a good company could have given us a tip over the phone to try pushing the button ourselves before sending out a service person. The lady on the phone was completely unwilling to work with us on the $ 150 fee and so I will not be using this company again, nor will I recommend their services.
