My Expressions Day Spa

Have used a Groupon there twice. Each time the first appointment is easy to make, the second appointment… never happens! Frustrating! The first time I thought it was me. This second time I know it wasn’t. She didn’t answer the phone, didn’t return messages, didn’t make an effort. I will never use this place again. Waste of money.

raybetts facial was very good and she has a lot of gimmicks that made for an excellent facial but that being said, im not sure id go back. i made an appt and when i got there she was not there and the salon was locked. her building, with the snow melting, was rushing water off the roof and over her door area. she never apologized for her tardiness. she has these long nails and even if they didnt scratch me, they were unprofessional for the work she does.

I had trouble finding the place. The address on their website is not current. The website in the directory took me on a while goose chase — they are located on Idalia — not Mississippi. Even though I was late I was able to get right in for my appointment. I came for the facial and ultrasound treatment.
These ladies didn’t really speak to me, introduce themselves nor tell me what they were doing to my face but this is was I got:
I laid on the table and the lady proceeded to scrub three things onto my face. She didn’t do an inspection, she didn’t ask me anything, she just starting scrubbing. After the second application she asked what my concerns were.
Then came the extractions. If you’ve never had them before they hurt like the dickens — worse than a tattoo. This is one of those no pain no gain beauty treatments. Luckily I didn’t have too many blemishes or blackheads so the pain was brief.
After that, she used a sander of sorts that felt like a cat tongue. Then a buzzer which felt like she was shaving my face. I later found out they were sharp needles. Two more scrubs, then came the ultrasound treatment. She rubbed an ultrasound wand on my face for 30 minutes with gel. I finally asked what the purpose was and was told it stimulates the muscles. After a hot towel clean up and a moisturizer I was all done.
My face is definitely refreshed but they didn’t get all the blackheads out.
There was nothing spa-​like about this location. No music, no mood lighting, no aroma therapy. I was looking at the ceiling throughout my silent treatment and there a stained tile as a focal point.
This experience was ok but I wouldn’t go back or recommend it to a friend.

Giving it three stars even though it is not in a great location (pet groomers next door and dogs were barking-​not very relaxing), but the facial I got from Raybett was excellent!
Had an NCrowd voucher that I almost forgot to use that was expiring next week. Called and was able to make an appt right away for Saturday in the morning.
Raybett was friendly, professional and efficient and gave me a great facial with Image products. She also said I could go ahead and make a future appt at the same price as the voucher for much less than half the price.
Plenty of free parking. Will be coming back again to take advantage of the great discount on a future facial.
