follow up — Maintenance dept was really great about coming out the next day to fix the leaky drain. They even put new lamps into the master bath AND installed a new thermostat. Sadly, two days later the bath lights don’t work in the morning — but do work after lunch. I’ll just buy a lamp to go on the counter. It’s currently 88 °F outside and the coolest we can get the inside is 77 °F, and that’s with the thermostat set to 68 °F so that it runs continuous. Our electric bill is going to be a little higher than normal. I’m going out tomorrow to look for window air conditioners. I think maybe apt’s can be lemons just like cars, who knew?
