Illinois Gun Pros is State Certified to provide Illinois Concealed Carry Classes to qualify for an Illinois License to Carry (Illinois CCW), as well as both Florida and Utah non-​resident CCW permits.

Classes and Shooting take place in Lombard, where we utilize Article 2 Range.

Illinois Gun Pros also offers basic and advanced courses in Gun-​Handling /​Gunfighting skills, and the NRA Basic Pistol Course as well as the NRA First Steps Pistol Class.

The Chief Instructor is certified by the Illinois State Police, the NRA and the State of Utah. Assistant instructors are all NRA certified instructors at a minimum, and most are also certified by the State of Illinois for concealed carry instruction.

Illinois Gun Pros offers both shooting and non-​shooting courses, as GLOCK 17 SIRT Laser Pistols and dry-​firing exercises enable classroom-​only instruction.

History

Established in 2013.

Beginning as an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor, Mike Bius received his credentials as a State Certified Concealed Carry Instructor in September, 2013 when the first wave of instructors were certified under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act.

Business Owner

Owner and Chief Instructor Mike Bius is Illinois State Police certified as a Concealed Carry Instructor, an NRA certified firearms instructor, and also a Utah CCW Instructor.

Mike has been a gun enthusiast for over 30 years and is a former US Army Infantryman.

While Mike has had several different job titles in his working career, most have centered around training, which is his passion. He prides himself in making every class engaging, interesting and memorable through a variety of teaching techniques. Boring, lecture-​type classes are his pet peeve!
