Grease Monkey

It was my first time bringing my car to Grease Monkey. Fairly new car so the dealership has been doing our service. The guys where awesome. Great customer service and they even left a flower on my dashboard. I will be returning.

AWESOME customer service and great attention to detail. Not only is their work top notch, the team members are friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality service for their vehicle.
I did read a review in which a customer made a remark about racial comments made by the owner. I have to say, that was not my experience at this location and my daughter who was with me is clearly black (African American) and I myself am biracial. The owner was very pleasant, lots of enthusiasm and a genuine sense of kindness. My daughter completely adored him and begged for me to make sure we come back because the manager gave her a flower and she thought it was the best thing in the world. I appreciate a business that works hard to earn my business and remains honest in the process.

These guys are awesome! Went above and beyond when we told them we were taking a road trip. Our car is in wonderful condition and we will definitely be coming back!
The manager working has knowledge about cars and truly knows what he is talking about. He talked us through every process and explained what oil he put in and why. Knowing that we got expert service really puts your mind at ease.

I will preface that I’m am very angry while writing this and if there was a way to give negative stars I would. I just left this location prior to having my vehicle serviced. While checking into have my car serviced and chatting with the new OWNER Mike he was boasting about how profitable his location was and showed me his sales sheet he had printed for the day saying he expects to gross over $ 800k this year, that he is part owner of another location on Broadway and so on. He then went on to disparage the previous owner and staff of this Buckley location saying that it had «gone downhill because of the Black people that took over». I asked him to clarify what he meant about the Black people. He went on to say that «the Black people were playing YouTube videos in the lobby etc.» I then informed him that my husband was Black and that was an inappropriate comment. He apologized profusely said that he was from Detroit and that he had an ex-​employee named Lamont that he loved like a brother and invited me to come in for coffee as he apologized for putting his foot in his mouth. I decided that I would not be patronizing this establishment so I decided to leave but had another brief conversation with him as I left. As he continued to apologize I further explained that his apologies were unnecessary and I hoped he would use this as a learning experience in the future. He agreed and then said he had used the wrong choice of words and that he should have said they were «hoodlems». I then told him that I didn’t think he would make the same comments to other patrons such as the vehicle that had just pulled in that had 2 very nice Black women inside. So as I left I also took the opportunity to introduce myself to them and let them know why I was choosing to take my business elsewhere. They made the same decision to leave as well. Very disappointed as I was extremely satisfied with the customer service and previous experience I had before with the Black people.

We’re just visiting Denver, Colorado and needed an oil change before heading back home. Checked and called few car shop for the job but all we got was rude service and they go by appointment. I understand the «by appointment» part but being rude to any paying customers?!? That’s how you lose customers.
We called this place and told us they can accommodate us same day, and it will only take 30 – 45 mins. I’m happy because it didn’t take long, they vacuum the inside and wipe my windows. The technician also gave me few advice on whatever works needed for my car and I appreciate that a lot!

Love Grease Monkey. The best customer service!!! I took my truck there today to get my oil changed, they did much more than that! They replaced my air filter, added windshield fluid, and vacuumed out my truck! When I checked out they gave me 2 coupons as well. Not only that but when I got in my truck to leave they left a flower for me on my dash. Thanks guys!!! All my friends now know where to go for vehicle maintenance

I had EXCELLENT service at this Grease Monkey! I normally get oil changes at my dealership, but couldn’t get to the Springs, so stopped in here. Got service right away, work done in timely manner and without them telling me I needed this and that replaced. Suggested things to watch, maintainance that may be needed soon, but no pressure. The owner rang me up, gave me coupons and answered any questions I had. Opened my door for me, and they even left a flower on my dash… you don’t see that much! I will go back again.

I made the mistake of thinking that my normal oil change place would be able to take me as a walk-​in on a Monday morning, but called and found out they were booked solid. Oops. So The Boy and I decided to hit up the Grease Monkey next to our house instead. Service was very friendly, though the manager did get a little alarmist on the «here’s what else you need fixed» list. Even with two $ 10 off coupons the total for two cars was almost $ 70, which is much, much more than my bargain-​hunting self is used to paying. There were some nice extras, though: they topped off all fluids, vacuumed the interior, did the windows, and left a carnation on my dash :) Overall, I’d say if you like the convenience of no-​appointment oil changes and can afford the niceties, go for it! If you’re like me and just need a bare-​bones, bottom dollar service, Grease Monkey probably isn’t the best way to go.

So my review is based on the free oil change we received today for Veteran’s Day.
The oil change normally would have been $ 45, which is a little pricey for a standard oil change, but with a coupon it would be a great deal! All the employees that we interacted were very friendly, even considering that the place was extremely busy. Good customer service skills are key in my opinion, and these guys have them! Even though this place was packed full of veterans getting their free oil changes, we were in & out pretty quickly! The mechanics seemed to know what they were doing and we left this place having a smooth running car. Also, we left with a vacuumed car.
We also received two $ 10 off coupons for future visits, which is great since my husband & I agree that we would like to continue bringing our car here.
They even left a flower on the dash, which was very sweet of them!

Fuckin’ Grease Monkey.
The bad overpowers the good of this location. When I walked in for an oil change, the guy asked me if I wanted high-​milage or regular, to which I responded «high milage». As we waited my mechanic came out with a real New York attitude and told me my air filter was toast. «I’m not gonna tell you you gotta spend fifteen bucks, but seriously.» I guess I was supposed to fax this guy an approval letter before we arrived.
A new air filter and an oil change advertised at $ 36.99, but I hade a $ 5 off coupon, I’m expecting $ 45ish dollars at check out. Then I go up to pay after about 20 mins or so and the total is $ 75. I blurted out in a puzzled state «That seems high.» Luckily the manager, who was very nice and personable, took an additional $ 5 off on the spot, saying «I never did quote you a price, I appologize.» I was really bummed that he didn’t tell me upfront because I was broke and had I known the high-​milage oil would be twice as much, I definitly would have purchase the plain oil. But as I accepted my fate, I paid it and left.
I’m not saying I wouldn’t go back. The manager really was a super nice guy who took the time to talk and joke with us and he gave me a discount as well as a coupon for future use. I’ll just have to make sure I ask the right questions from now.
