Good Times Burgers & Frozen Custard

Came in to the business on Friday the 18^th around 1030pm. The guy that was at the window was extremely nice and professional. Sat and actually talked to me and kept me updated on how long my wait was. 60 secs was all I waited for and everything was HOT and Fresh. Don’t eat fast food often but every place should have amazing people working for them like this guy.

My usual order is 3 bambinos with cheese, dr pepper, and wild fries. I decided to stop by today for a sweet treat and ordered the salted caramel truffle spoonbender… and was so disappointed. The ice cream was far from a spoonbender and pretty much melted. The chocolate morsels tasted stale and were not very chocolatey. I think I’ll stick to my usual order from now on and forgo the dessert.

This location has really gone down lately, I purchased my favorite salted caramel spoonbender, and it was made with toffee candy instead of the truffles that are advertised, and which I grew to love in the summer. I was so disgusted with this that I took it back to the shop to have them make me another correctly, the manager looked at me very mean, but took it back and preceded to get another one made, well this one had the correct truffle candies on top, so I took it home, proceeded to imbibe in this deliciousness, but found nuts in it, being allergic to them I freaked out! They just can’t get it right, I don’t want to have to visit the ER, so I will never go back to this establishment again! 2 thumbs down!

I ordered the bacon ranch cheese fries… yes bacon… ranch AND cheese. Sounds like heaven right?!
They were good but they could’ve been a little more fresh. It seems like the fries were old and the cheese wasn’t warm but I’ll definitely order them again.
On another note my Roxy loves to go here with me because she knows if she sticks her head out the window they’ll give her a dog treat lol.

My hubby and I stopped in on Saturday to get our weekend burrito and after leaving and stopping for gas I opened the bag and none of the burritos were hot and one was only approximately 3 inches long so I opened it and it had a half a slice of bacon. I was upset as my husband and I look forward to our breakfast burritos.
We returned to Good Times and I proceeded to ask for my money back for the whole order which was exactly $ 9.01. The «manager» returned to the window with 6 dollars and some change the cost of 3 regular burritos which we ordered 1 regular and two with add’l meat which was an add’l .30 each. I stated I wanted all my money back and rightfully deserved it as I should not have needed to bring the food back as we did order a LRG drink in addition.
The manager could not speak for herself as her mouthy employee behind her with an attitude started to harass me. I responded to him that a simple apology would have sufficed and that he had an attitude. He stated that was who he was and stated that he displayed terrible customer service. I demanded my money returned in full and I even brought the drink back to give them.
The mouthy employee not the manager brought over 8 dollars and some change and laid it on the counter, I again demanded my money returned in full and he slammed the window shut and proceeded to call me a BITCH.
I was mortified and at that point my husband got out of the car. When he walked up to the window the mouthy employee stated he was «sorry that I was so grumpy this morning». My husband told him in no uncertain terms that he wanted corporates telephone number and that he better not be calling me derogatory names to which the mouthy employee denied.
I did immediately call the Corporate number and LVM with a lady named Christine and about 930a on Monday the 19^th I called and spoke to Christine personally and she assured me that the Regional manager would call me very shortly. It is Tuesday morning and I have received no phone calls from Good Times Corporate.
In conclusion this is not the first restaurant to give terrible customer service and it won’t be the last. But my take on this is a very large corporation with yellow arches used to be a main stream player in the fast food industry and after years of horrible customer service their profits have tanked and they are selling hundreds of their stores.
Good Times, you are a very small fish in a huge lake and you should take notice that without people like me and my family you are not going to survive in this huge lake.
UPDATE:
After speaking with Sherry the «Regional Manager» in a lengthy conversation about the episode and her assuring me she would take care of this by sending my husband and I coupons to make up for this horrible experience in their restaurant.
It has been over a week since I spoke with her and as usual with company’s like these who have no regard for customer service I have seen nothing in the mail.
FYI — Sherry I won’t be back so shove your coupons!!!

I went to this Good Times location today and my experience was less than average. My boyfriend and I ordered at the drive-​thru and received terrible customer service. The female who took our order rushed us and made it seem like we were being an inconvenience to her, even though there was no one behind us in line and there were only 2 or 3 customers at the walk-​up window. Our order was correct when repeated back to us but we did not receive all the food we ordered. Upon trying to correct the order, we were given a difficult time (again).
We were also not impressed by the food here. It was very plain and not pleasing to the palate. All-​in-​all an unsatisfying meal. Will not be coming back here again.

The burgers here are really subpar compared to most fast-​food burger spots. It is pretty messy and falls apart within the foil that it’s wrapped in. The mayo and ketchup kind of squeeze out and the overall flavor seemed cheap. The way the burger was wrapped made it seem like it was sloppily rushed & thrown together.
PROS of this place include its drive through and late night hours.

They ignore their customers. Walked up to window. Two different employees saw me standing there, but did nothing. So, after a minute, I left. Too bad — I really wanted some Bambino Burgers. But, hey, if they don’t need customers, they don’t need customers and I guess I can just go elsewhere.

Maybe the slowest fast food place ever. Waited over 10 minutes for a spoonbender. 3 kids just standing around inside. No urgency at all

Disappointed.

If you want slow fast food service this is the place. I sat in my car for 15 minutes while 2 cars were in front of me. Then when you get to the window they always tell you, «Sorry for the wait.» I mean let’s be realistic about this. If you were sorry for the wait, then there should have been something done to fix the problem by now.

Real quick, so they messed up one small part of our order… my daughter’s. Called, went back, ordered one more thing and they gave me that free as well for the inconvenience! 5 stars for quality and customer satisfaction.

Yum! I love this burger joint. I have eaten here several times, and each time I am fully satisfied. Workers are always friendly, and food is fresh. I have never had bacon this crispy from any other fast food joint. I highly recommend the fresh cut fries.

Custard great. Burger OK (watch out for leaks in the foil wrap). Wild fries smothered in green chili and cheese! To die for.

The burger place in my old stomping grounds. I would come here at least 3 times a week they’re burgers are amazing, in my top 3. The fries are what make people come back, wild fries a regular burger and a coke is a perfect meal. If you drive past a Good Times and have never been stop and order a burger you will thank me.

I typically do not review fast food restaurants because I do not patronize them. I gave up fast food years ago. But, I keep hearing that Good Times has Santiago’s green chili on the menu now. I was aimlessly driving around on my lunch break today trying to figure out what I wanted for lunch. I saw a Good Times and thought, why not give it a try.
I was really surprised at how good these fries were! They say they are fresh cut, I would like to believe that, and honestly they did taste very fresh. We all know Santiago’s hads kick ass green chili, so I really don’t need to mention that. They put the perfect amount of green chili and cheese on. The fries weren’t swimming in either allowing the flavor of the fries to really come through. The heat of the chili was perfect, some of my friends say it is too hot, but I loved it. And the staff was very pleasant! So all in all, not a bad experience at all. I would love to go back again and again for this tasty little snack, but I don’t know if my heart and hips would like that! I did see some milkshakes that are seasonal I might have to check out in the future.

Beware of the foil wrapping of the burgers!!!
Ok, so I have never eaten at Good Times until today but have been curious. So I stopped by this Good Times on Havana on my way home.
First off, the service, it was crap. I apologize but I didn’t get any warm and fuzzy feeling from the people. I used the drive through and instead of a warm friendly greeting I got «Order when your ready» in a rude tone. I then paid and waited and then the guy was just like «Here ya go».
Really???
Next onto the food. The burger was… well, a burger. It didn’t have any special flavors but tasted fresh and they certainly don’t skimp on the veggies so A + there. Oh, and the fries were yummy too… don’t forget to try them.
Finally, your probably wondering why you should be afraid of the foil. I was eating and enjoying the food when I started to feel a little tingle, pain. The damn foil they wrapped the burger in cut not once, but TWICE, my nose and lip. Not just a scrape, but I was actually bleeding. How the hell does that happen??! I have no idea. Anyway, please keep small children and apparently me, away from the foil of the burgers.

Right off the bat let me tell you I have never eaten here. I am not a big fan of fast food. Yes, sometimes circumstances put me in line at my local fast food joint, but it is NOT my first choice, my second or even my third choice.
Four stars for the lemonade!
It tastes like the wonderful $ 6 lemonade that you get at the State Fair every year. The only difference is that the cup is not filled with ice like the State Fair.
More fresh lemonade, less money.
Sorry I can’t give an opinion on the food. .. . but, do drive thru and try the lemonade! You won’t be disappointed.

Denver has quite a few interesting places to try for this and that and one such place that I have seen all over is Good Times. They don’t have then in SoCal, or at least I have never seen one before. I figure it’s just like any other burger place, so I didn’t go in with any high expectations. I just wanted something quick for lunch. I checked out their website before I went, because I wanted to see what was in store for me. I found some items that interest me and so I figured I would make an effort to go to the closest one.
The drive-​thru was split so we got to feel special and choose which path we wanted to take. I ordered the peppercorn chicken sandwich, a combo Onion Rings/​French Fries and got a Glacier to cool me down as it was in the 90’s that day. I made sure to get some of their dipping sauce for the fries too. My girlfriend got the Bambino chicken burgers. They came in this little carrying case. I liked the concept, but don’t really care for miniaturized foods all that much. She’s quite the opposite.
I was a little disappointed, because on the website they list more flavors for their Glaciers, I being a fan of anything Blue, was denied my Raspberry flavored Glacier, so I had to get Watermelon, which was good, but didn’t make me completely happy.
When we got home, I noticed how little fries and rings I got. I got it to split and it was only enough for one. That would have been fine any other day, but as I said, we were sharing. I will know better next time.
The chicken sandwich tasted good, not the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever ate, but good. The rings were so, so and the fries were bleh. The dipping sauce didn’t help at all. I tried a bambino and it too was just okay. I wouldn’t have a problem going back here and trying something different, but I am in no rush to do so at the moment. Too many other places to try. I will stop by (and have) for another Glacier. Their only 99 cents and good on a hot day. :)
I will say one more thing before I end this review. Each time we’ve gone by here the staff have been very nice, have gotten our meal to us in a timely fashion and were always polite.

This place has the best damn fries. I could eat them all the time. Luckily, I now live a couple thousand miles away or I would eat these a lot more often. From what I remember their burgers were good. It’s been years since I’ve eaten meat though so find that part out on your own.
In November they usually have pumpkin pie frozen custard which I actually dream about. It’s that good.
