Gateway Christian Church

The people at the church are nice, the preacher has a good sense of humor, the building is nice and is being updated at the moment and the community there seems tight. But there are some things that take away from the worship and take the focus, at least for me, off of god. The lead singer of the worship band is a little to flamboyant and thus the focus is put on him instead of the message of the song. Also, every now and then the preacher will slip a personal belief or opinion about politics or social agendas in and that is not what being a christian is about. The message can sometimes get lost in these things and i find myself thinking about his personal opinions rather than the word at times. I would recommend to check out the church, but personally we are looking around for a better fit. We may return at times because we live close, but probably will find ourselves in a different community.

Love the pastor’s sense of humor and fresh ways of sharing the word, and his wife is such a delight… these people are so real and so welcoming, i love the services.
