I’d say there are a handful of key ingredients that go into the making of a successful Gap store. 1) Friendly service 2) Spacious atmosphere 3) Clean and organized 4) Plenty of merchandise 5) Great sales racks! I’m a huge fan of the Gap in general, but this location is a winner. I always find a lot of solid pieces to add to my wardrobe(ie: t-shirts, sweaters, jeans, workout clothes). I typically frequent either this location in the Fox Valley Mall(I’m sorry, WESTFIELD mall) and the store downtown Naperville. I have to say, this is one of my favorite locations. For starters I love the convenience of it’s location in the mall. I only live like 5 minutes away, and if you park on the second floor by Macy’s the Gap store is right there. Easy peasy! Especially when you don’t feel like fighting the crowds(or kids rather) and navigating the whole mall when you just have a quick stop to make. The layout of the store is really nice and the merchandise is well organized — women’s clothes on the right, men’s on the left, and sale, accessories, and fitness clothes in the back(along with the register and fitting rooms). Plus, connected to the main store is Gap Kids which gets it’s own designated area. I’ve always experienced great service at this Gap location. Someone to greet me when I walk in, someone always asks if they can start a fitting room for me, and everyone working the register has always been helpful and friendly as well. So much so that I opened a Gap credit card! Look out… :) The last time I was in I had a 40% coupon I received from a prior purchase. You had to use your Gap card to get a discount and I totally forgot mine at home. They gave the discount to me anyway which was really nice! I love that there are so many perks to having a Gap card. Don’t quote me on the exact day, but I want to say it’s every Tuesday that everything is 10% off with your credit card. I always get a ton of «Gap Cash» to use on my future purchases as well. Let’s just say I definitely put that to good use! Another highlight of this store are their sale racks in the back. They always have so much merchandise for sale which I definitely appreciate. I’ve been to other stores that barely have a full rack of sale items and they’re super disorganized. Their’s is very neat and tidy, it’s almost hard to tell that you’re actually shopping a sales rack! Long story short, I’m a fan folks.

I like this location, I do, because it’s fairly large, has a nice selection, and usually offers some pretty good sales. However, unlike the other reviewers, I haven’t had a very good service experience – not to say that it’s been bad, just missing. Like literally. Either there aren’t any people employed to assist people on the floor, or there are and they blend in so well with customers that I don’t realize they work there. However, the people behind the desk that relieve me of my money are always pleasant, and I’m always able to find what I need. I continue to come to this one because it’s close, and I would certainly recommend it to people, but I prefer the Naperville and Wheaton locations over this one.

I like this gap! Its not overwhelming and the layout is great! The sales folks are very helpful and they seem to have a good selection of items. Came here the other day and it was 30% off sale items and I got a bunch of funky color nail polish for 69cents! Whoop!!! I love my Gap… always have and always will be a Gap girl, so Gap can do no wrong(except for that one year where their stuff was just not cute, but we are past that!). Definitely try this location… it is big and spread out and they have the gap body right next door!

I walked in on the Gap side, wasn’t greeted, and felt judged for wearing jeans and a sweatshirt that weren’t hip enough. No thanks, mall staff hipsters, I’m out. I instead spent all my time on the Gap Body/Maternity side and they earned 5 stars, hands down. Too bad the folks next door cost them a star. Cortez gave me all kinds of attention, explaining the Gap credit card and making small talk while he rang up my thousand purchases. He even went back to ensure I had received all the appropriate discounts, which was pretty time-consuming. He’s a fantastic employee and deserves a raise or bonus or something for going above and beyond. So, this is the closest Gap to my house with Gap Body and Maternity. I made the trip specifically to stock up during their 40% off sale since none of my underwear, bras, or clothes fit anymore due to my ever-growing baby belly. I was shocked at the size of their maternity selection and delighted to find all kinds of things on sale. And I was able to load up on a couple different sizes due to the cheap prices, all of which will come in handy over the next few months. I specifically opened a Gap card because I plan to return to this store for future maternity-wear shopping sprees. Nice work, Cortez!

As far as Gap locations go, this one is pretty okay. It’s big and the layout is open across both the regular Gap and the adjacent Gap Body. There’s plentiful sales racks and the salespeople are usually pretty nice and just enough attentive without being all up in your grill. There’s also a small Gap maternity section in the back of Gap Body — a real lifesaver when I was a super prego in need of clothes that were not either: A) Incredibly expensive AND/OR B) Incredibly dumpy and unattractive Because let’s be real, when you’re pregnant, you don’t need any help to be more dumpy and unattractive. Or at least I don’t. I’m like that dumpy pregnant chick that people look at, wrinkle their nose, and say«daaaaaayum, how did she get pregnant?» wink wink

This is one of my favorite locations because the staff are laid back and there is a great array of the products I’m looking for. They always stock it very well. It’s also directly connected to the Gap Body shop, so you can walk in and out and pay at either of the cashier areas. Especially during the holidays, the staff is really fast and helpful. The only funny thing is that this particular location always smells like chinese food. I don’t know if this is on purpose, since the only store underneath that might produce that kind of smell is the Panera. Go figure! It always makes me giggle when I walk in.
