CSL Plasma

Disgusting atmosphere, unclean waiting area, gross bathrooms. Not to net mention the 1.5 hour wait just to get checked in. This is definetly not worth any money

Nice way to earn gas money while helping save lives by given plasma that has sadly been overinflated on the US market. The cheapest price I heard for a pint of blood was 6,000, so I enjoy the 1 – 2 hours at the center while joking I get $ 25-​$ 50 an hour. Pay varies depending on your weight, but they have bonuses, so $ 50 or $ 65 fpr the first time, which takes up to three hours bc of the in processing and screening, but after that it’s $ 25 (mid range) for the 1^st donation of the week & $ 50 for the 2^nd donation of the week, but it’s hard to predict bc if the bonuses and specials, but think of it as being paid by the hour and that’s a lot for any college kid or professional and for a good cause. The staff is friendly and the process is quick and bc of this I’m actually drinking protein shakes and alternating my iron and dairy to keep by iron up and protein good, which was at 8.5 last time.
My last visit they asked if they could take a sample to see if I have Anti D, to help fetuses and pregnant women without anti D, and if I have it, well then they’ll call me in to donate blood and I’m told I’ll be compensated for the eight weeks I can’t donate plasma. It felt good bc my sister had jaundice, but I know I have protein in my blood being A+ … I think, hope.

My first ever time donating plasma today, and It was a wonderful experience. My fiancé and I went to CLS plasma and were guided through the process by friendly faces and knowledgeable information. I had never donated before, and felt very nervous from the start, but the staff answered all of my questions. I forget his name, but there’s a younger man with dreadlocks, who was very friendly and funny. After registering, and watching the videos, we finally made it to the donation chairs, where a very kind man, Anthony, proceeded to stick me with a needle. He was very calm, and made me feel at ease, making the process very easy in my opinion. About twenty minutes into donating, I started to feel really dizzy, and started to black out. Within seconds, several employees were around me trying to wake me up. They offered me a power aid, and put ice packs on my chest. They removed the needle from my arm, and let me relax until I was feeling better. I was about half way done with my donation, and they let me keep the full compensation. I’m so impressed with the way they handled this situation, and so thankful they were there to help me through it.

This plasma center is one of the greatest centers I have ever been to. The stalf is really friendly, and they get you in, and out very fast. Your in and out within an hour.

This place does not care about donors at all. They take advantage of people who desperately need money. Also, the last time I donated, they ruptured a blood vessel in my arm, which really hurts and takes about a week to recover from

I donate plasma because I know it does good for those in need, also the little extra cash makes easier to use then rack up my credit cards or dig into my accounts. I have noticed a few rude people there which makes it unprofessional. There is a woman by the name of Latoya, unknown last name, that is the most rudest and unprofessional woman, more so then all others. I saw her humiliate two employees in front of donors. I’m sorry but this woman needs rep-​remanded or fired. I will go back but will always request someone else for the needle stick. Nobody including employees should have to deal with this. I did call to complain but she still has a bad attitude or a control issue. This woman makes it hard to want to go back.

This place is now CSL plasma. I went in to donate and while the process is quick, the employees are really unprofessional and sometimes rude. This last donation went bad and I had a reaction. If you’ve ever had one, you know it can be scary with a fast drop on blood pressure leaving you on fire hot and losing conciousness. One employee was amazing and held my arm straight so the needle didn’t destroy my arm, but the other one was so rude and impatient. I’M INVOLUNTARILY LOSING CONCIOUSNESS! I can’t keep my eyes open. I’m literally blacking out. Stop telling me to keep my eyes open! Anyways, I may come back because its so fast here, and just pray I don’t get her again.
