Coffee Place European Café

They got it all right — except for what they’re supposed to be all about — the coffee.
Unlike other reviewers, I do not know or nor am I friends with the owners.
What’s right: location, décor (very nice), music, & cleanliness, staff.
What’s wrong: The coffee! Their large, regular coffee costs as much as Starbucks, Daz Bog, Caribou Coffee, etc, but 4 oz. smaller. And it is really, really weak. Even asked for a replacement for my «bold» and the «medium roast» was just as bad. The person I was meeting with had the same opinion.
You may have better luck with their specialized coffee, but if they can’t get the basic coffee right, not sure if they could get that right either.

Super cute. Great oldies music. The cortada was delicious! My son had a stuffed croissant that he absolutely loved! I wish we lived closer — we’d definitely go more often.

I had high hopes when it reopened. The previous owners had wonderful pastries. Dave, the new current owner seemed to have high aspirations, but they have not been realized.
The coffee is excellent, particularly the cappuccinos.
The baked goods are very amateurish. The presentation and display leave a lot to be desired. The coffee cake arrives at the table looking like it was cut with a tree saw. Many of the baked items are dried and hard despite being wrapped in multiple layers of Saran, suggesting that they were yesterday’s crop. The «desert» items are overpriced.
We had a $ 8.95 ham & cheese panini which consisted of 1 slice of ham, 1 slice of cheese, and was not even melted.
Maybe the new owner should go beck to buying his baked goods from outside.

This place was closed about a year ago but it’s re-​opened — yes! Great little shop with tasty baked goods and coffee. You have to try their breakfast sandwishes — out of this world.

To many bad things to say… its changed hands to many times to be good every time I go.

Veryyyyyyyy slow. Not very good coffee and not good breakfast. Tastes like Pam. Maybe should only serve coffee and not breakfast. I can sort of see why they closed down the first time. Outside seating is nice. The help was pleasant.

Supported my local coffee shop this morning and my latte came with a little friend! Mr. Bear kept me company for a little while… then I drank him. He was delicious.
As I found my table, the featured artist came in to order (overheard her conversation with the barista) and she ended up joining me at my table. Interesting art, friendly people, tasty coffee drinks and food make this a lovely place. Can’t find this stuff at Starbucks or DD!
My gluten free banana bread was AMAZING. The chef apparently used oats to improve the texture (from your typically gluten-​y crumbly banana bread). Get yours warmed up and eat it at a table. So good!
My only suggestion for the business owners would be to get a «perks program» going. The ONLY reason I would go to a Starbucks over this place (besides the drive thru) is their points program. IMHO it might help give repeat customers just another reason to come back. Maybe just a punch card for a free small drip coffee after purchasing 3 coffee drinks. Just a suggestion!

Love this place! Quiet and lots of non dairy options other than soy milk. They also have Cuban coffee. Just be careful about parking.

Great coffee, clean and cute interior, and very sweet and attentive staff. Loved it. Can’t wait for the salads and sandwiches! :-)

I normally don’t write reviews but couldn’t help myself this time. This coffee shop recently changed ownership but the name remains the same. Dave, the new owner, chatted with us for awhile explaining his dreams and vision for the place. The coffee they sell is organic and specially roasted. The pastries are also mostly made in-​house.
The staff here were very friendly and accommodating. I don’t know coffee terminology so they patiently explained the items to me. My caramel macchiato was perfect: not too sweet or bitter. It also came with beautiful art on top! The chai latte came with cinnamon powder on top also with beautiful art! For some reason, coffee with art on top makes me really happy.
The pasties were also delicious. We got a blueberry scone which was a good consistency-​not too hard. During our stay, Dave brought out freshly made Danish pastries for everyone to try. It was very tasty!
I would definitely return here again!

Came here for breakfast, but they informed us they were actually out of both chicken and eggs after we ordered and paid. They gave us an option of having a salad for breakfast??? No thanks.
We ended up getting a refund and leaving, but the girls were super sweet and apologetic. Got our coffees to-​go… My mocha was pretty decent!

I ordered the Zebra Mocha and Chicken Pesto panini. It was mouth-​watering. The bread tastes very homemade and the chicken just melted in my mouth. Lol. You’re welcome for the visual… My mom ordered the mushroom soup, which was also delish.
The vibe is very chill and quaint and the employees are very friendly. I will be going here again, for sure.
One day I will take a picture, before I devour my food. Until then i will add a little mystery, I guess. ;-)
All-​in-​all a great, local feel of a coffee shop.

This place is a great alternative to starbucks or make it a primary spot for your coffee craving.
Plenty of parking, easy access, lots of places to seat (indoors/​outdoors), friendly employees n nice and cozy place to sip n relax.
They do offer home made goodies, lighter fares n lots of non coffee items to strike your fancy.
I had gripe over no free refill of their coffee but come to realize, it’s the norm so figure it’s ok. However, paying $ 1 for small refill is hard to swallow.
Appears to offer frequent customer loyalty program. If you are looking for quite place to relax and enjoy, highly recommend this one.

Great little coffee place. Awesome brew and home made pastry. Recommend the dark roast and a cinnamon roll.

I had bookmarked this spot after seeing it was new and close to home. The location was super easy to find and there is ample parking. The staff was very friendly and I was welcomed upon entering.
The drink menu offers your basics and I went for an iced coffee, that I didn’t see listed. I was told it comes as a regular or large size and I went for a large. The coffee itself was delicious and had a nice smokiness to it. No sugar was needed, though I liked that they offer a syrup vs having to put granules in to cold liquid. A large size is just that and it kept me going all afternoon. Best part was that it was a whopping $ 2.40.
They appear to offer a variety of food choices, as the menu board outlined a shrimp dish and soups. The cooler area also had bakery options that looked tempting. I wouldn’t hesitate to return after my visit!

Excellent food and coffee. Very nice owner had a nice chat with him and he introduced me to some of the coffees in his shop by providing samples. Support local owners and come here!

Super friendly staff:)The owner and my mom have become good friends and my mom and I love doing mother daughter dates here.
The atmosphere of this place is simply awesome with Johnny Cash in the background with comfy seating.
The drinks are amazing I’m a sucker for the zebra latte and I love that they’ve got originals and your run of the mill as well. The pastries are homeade and taste lovely. I would recommend this place to anyone. This is a gem for people who love coffee.

I stopped in for coffee and a pastry. My coffee was good (on par with Starbucks). The interior was nice, with varied seating. The ladies working were pleasant and helpful. The price was fair. My pastry, which I did not eat until later that day, seemed a bit stale to me at the time. It was a chocolate croissant. The chocolate was a nice semi-​sweet Belgian one, with flavorful chocolate inside (and a drizzle on the outside). the chocolate on the inside was conservative amount, but enough to flavor most bites. As I mentioned, on this visit, the croissant was rather brittle by the time I ate it considerably later in the day.
I dropped by again today. I found out that they bake everything fresh daily (actually, multiple times throughout the early part of the day), and that they do not use preservatives. I also found out their trick of giving the croissants 5 seconds or less in the microwave right before you eat them. They use a special blend of coffee beans, that are roasted just for them. The flavor is good (rich, without any burnt notes). Katie (the Manager?) was very friendly and informative on this visit.
