Chuck & Don’s

When I decided to switch my dog from Hill’s Science Diet to Zignature, I came to Chuck and Don’s because they were the closest place to my house that carried it. Now, after the experiences I have had there, I will never direct anyone to any other pet supply store! The employees are so knowledgable and kind, and really seemed to take a genuine interest in learning about my dog’s needs so they could direct me to the right food for her. Sure enough, Zignature’s Kangaroo Formula has cleared up all of her issues and she has never been healthier. I buy all of her supplies here now, and there is never any pressure from salespeople, so feel free to stop in and just look at everything! Great store, great customer service, great frequent buyer program! Highly recommended!

Carry premium dog food that most big brand pet stores do not. The employees are very knowledgable about their products.

I can’t say enough great things about this place! From day one I’ve experience nothing but great customer service. Tonight I was blown away by one of the employees, she was incredibly helpful with helping me pick out the right food for my dog’s needs. She was seriously WAY more helpful in 20 minutes than my vet in the last 4 weeks. They have my business from now on!

I’d never heard of this place before but with my overly spoiled critters I figured they might have something new I needed to try. The prices were great! We found one of the cats favorite foods on sale. SCORE! and the staff were very nice and helpful. They signed us up for the discount card and my pets thoroughly enjoyed their treats and new toys. We’ll be back even though it’s a little out of the way.

Best service in town !!! Maddison loves the staff and all the natural treats they have to offer!!! I also appreciate how Knowledgeable they are as well. My dog has so many allergies and they always take the time to help read Ingredients on foods and treats.

I have two of my own dogs and I am the foster coordinator for the Shiba Scout Rescue… plus I run a dog blog. To say I spend a lot of time in pet stores is an understatement. Chuck & Dons is my first choice pet store and here is why:
1.) Their prices are great. I spend a ton of money on dogs so saving where I can is really important. Chuck & Dons has the best price on my dog food online and in stores. I don’t know that every item is the best deal but so far everything looks to be cheaper than the big box stores and cheaper than most websites.
2.) They have a great selection of high quality dog food, treats and products. You can tell they actually take pride in having products they support not just whatever makes them money.
3.) Their staff is absolutely the best. I work retail and I am always amazed by every single person working at the store. They always greet you and always are sure to ask if you need any help. I often need help finding the right product and every single time I have felt like the person helping me goes above and beyond to help me and teach me about the product. My favorite story is that on Black Friday we watched a guy in a slight panic bring in a zip lock bag with dog food in it. He told the girl that he was watching a friends dog and was about to run out of food but didn’t know what kind of food it was. The girl looked at the kibble and told him it wasn’t something they sold in their store but gave him her best guess at what type of food it was (brand and specific line) but encouraged him to just call his friend and ask what kind of food it was so he could be sure. Sure enough the girl was spot on as to what food it was. She never tried to convince him to buy something they had just to make a sale. She was just honestly trying to help him.
Every time I leave the store I am 100% happy with the service I got. I don’t know any store, pet or not, that I have had such great customer service, especially every time with out fail.
4.) Their Friends of Chuck program is great. You give them your name, address and phone number and you are signed up. Every time you shop there you just give them your name. Every quarter they mail out a newsletter that is full of coupons and a rebate based on how much you spent that you can use at the store. I have no clue what the % you get is and it may be better that I don’t know. I routinely get a rebate of over $ 10.
Also at the bottom of every receipt they ask you to take a survey. It only takes about 5 minutes and you get a coupon for 20% off a non food item. I love it because it lets me tell them how much I appreciate their staff and it saves me a ton of money. Who doesn’t want 20% off Ruffwear leashes?

Went here looking for my dog’s new dog food since shes a little fatty and needed weight control food.
Its a little overwhelming unless you know what you are doing. There are helpful staff, but there was only 1 girl there already talking to someone in depth about her dog and their issues.
Staff seems genuinely interested in finding out about your dog and what they can recommend to help.

This place is pretty awesome for finding quality dog food for your furry baby. The staff is very knowledgable and very friendly & helpful. They carry many popular brands but specialize in natural and specialty diet foods for your pet. They are also reasonably priced and they have a great rewards program. Overall if you have a fido that is a picky eater or requires a special diet you should check this place out.

My dog requires a special diet. Up until now, I have been forced to get his food from one of two specialty pet stores. Now don’t get me wrong, I would always prefer to spend my money with an independent shop whenever possible. I would even rather pay a few extra bucks, if that means that the money stays within my neighborhood. The problem, I have discovered with independent pet food stores, is that their hours tend to be very difficult for me to be able to get in and get Zeus his food. I was very pleased to discover that Chuck & Don’s carries Taste of the Wild dog foods. Their prices are the same as the other shops, but they stay open until 9 during the week, making them a great source. The staff is always very friendly and helpful if you are looking for something different. They have a huge selection of treats and toys. There is a loyalty program that gives you a small credit back and puts you on the list for some great coupons in the mail. I am a fan of Chuck & Don’s.
