Cardiothoracic Surgery Associates has joined the Aurora community to provide safe and effective specialized cardiothoracic care in a compassionate environment.

Committed to excellence in the cardiothoracic field, Dr. Jason Sperling serves as the Director of Cardiac Surgery and Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services for HealthONE. As a pioneer in his field, he is a board-​certified surgeon and leader in cardiothoracic research.

Business Owner

Jason Sperling, MD, FACS, is board-​certified in cardiothoracic surgery and joins HealthONE as the Director of Cardiac Surgery and Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services. He previously practiced at The Valley-​Columbia Heart Center in Ridgewood, NJ, a top-​performing hospital in the US, where he held an appointment as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Columbia University-​Presbyterian Hospital. He completed his cardiac surgery training at the University of Virginia, and he participated in cutting-​edge research in heart surgery at Harvard University’s Children’s Hospital in Boston. He has co-​authored numerous research papers in well-​known peer-​reviewed scientific journals.

Dr. Sperling is experienced in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery, including advanced mitral valve repair, ‘off-​pump’ coronary bypass surgery, multiple arterial grafting and cardiac re-​operations.
