Do not use ARS. I called on Friday to make an appointment to have my AC repaired. I was scheduled for an appointment on Wednesday. I received a confirmation call on Tuesday for my Wednesday appointment. I had left work early just for the appointment, when I called an hour after the 1 hr window I was told they would arrive, the scheduler said I was not even on their calendar for that day, but they did have record of the conversation and time, it just wasn’t booked in their scheduler. Reluctantly, I reschedule for Friday (a week after initial call), ARS booked the appointment between 12−2p. I called at 1:30 and was told they booked me for 5 – 7 but the notes did say 12−2p. ARS said someone was on their way and would be there in a half hour. No one showed. When i called back, they said he was almost there. No one showed at all. I finally gave up at 6p. This company is a scam. Don’t waste your time.

I had a good experience the first time I used ARS/​RR so I called them again to look at my furnace flue piping before I sold my home. The tech that came out was very rude and disrespectful to me, and wouldn’t provide any useful information… only said «this will be a minimum $ 500 to have a crew come out to fix this.» This was extremely UNhelpful and ended up costing me more money in my inspection resolution (credit back to buyers), as I couldn’t get a reliable read on what actually needed to be done, if anything, or how much that might actually cost. I called the main office to let them know what happened, as I work in the same industry and would want to know when one of my employees was representing my company in such a negative manner, and was promised a call back from the tech and/​or a manager to explain… I never heard back from anyone. Very disappointing experience.

The technician was a nice guy and worked hard. No complaints there. The rest of the company is a disorganized mess. I was approached at Home Depot for Boiler and AC/​Swamp Cooler maintenance and was quoted a price of $ 39 for each service. I was also told I had an appointment at 10am. On the first try, 10am turned into 1−3pm. So I rescheduled. On the second try, 10am turned into «we can’t do it today.» On the third try, 8am turned into «oops we didn’t realize you had a boiler not a furnace so we can’t do it today.» The guy finally came on the fourth try. And then, when he got to the house he said that $ 39 covered «visual inspection» only. Why would anyone pay for someone to «visually inspect» something and then do no work. Actual price to actually service the boiler and swamp cooler – $ 169. Huge bait and switch. Then they quoted me for all kinds of work that «needed» to be done to the boiler and their prices were very high. So, nice, knowledgeable technicians, terrible terrible company. Go someplace else.

I went down to my basement for the first time in a few weeks and noticed a large puddle of water. I traced it back to a leaking pressure regulator. Plumbing is one of those things that I just won’t do myself so I searched for a ²⁴⁄₇ plumber and found ARS/​Rescue Rooter Colorado.
The gal who answered the phone was very helpful and empathetic to my situation. She assured me that a tech would be at my house between 4 and 6. Jason and Jayden arrived right at 4 and got right to business.
We went to the problem area and I explained what was going on and they said they’d fix it good as new. Jason did a great job replacing the regulator in a very timely manner and for a great price.
I will absolutely use them again if the need arises!

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with! They have now missed two scheduled appointments. I had an appointment for last weekend they called and asked to reschedule. I said ok to reschedule for today for a 12 – 2. 2:45 no one shows up. I call and they tell me they can’t show up today. Forget it I will call someone else. If you are looking for HVAC work your better off doing it yourself than calling these clowns.

We have had to call ARS twice to tackle plumbing issues. We have a mid century home with original cast iron pipes so they tend to clog easily. The service for a clogged pipe is always reliable and they have gotten the job done every time for a reasonable price. Where things derail is when they give you a quote for the permanent repairs post plumbing fix. The first call we had was for a backed up main line. Their bid was $ 17,000. Yes, you read that right — $ 17K. They offered a payment plan but when I asked for a break down of how they got to that figure, I was given very very vague answers. We got it repaired by another local company for $ 4500 and it is working great.
Second plumbing back up, the fix they quoted was for $ 3500. I haven’t gotten a second bid because it isn’t an emergency like the sewer line had been. However, I am 100% confident that again I will realize we were given a hyper inflated bid.
In other words, use them to clear your line in a pinch but do your homework very, very carefully before committing to one of their repairs.

On the GOOD side, they were able to come out on short notice in the evening and clear a blocked main line that was backing up into my basement. It seemed expensive at over $ 400 for a rooter but at that point I didn’t care.
On the VERY VERY BAD side, when the came up the next day for a «free» follow up with a scope the suggested service things started to go very wrong. I’ve now asked a second opinion from a company that I’ve used before, and the result is a bit mind blowing. ARS quoted over $ 11,000 to do a 10 foot repair. The second quote for the same thing was $ 5000. Even worse, ARS suggested service was really bad advice. The advised that I should go to all the time and expense and headache of pulling permits to fix the issue that extends in to the street, but didnt’ suggest going just that little bit further to the main line and do the job in the street once and for all. Having talked to two other services they have both told me that this is simply horrible advice. The end result is that I have some really GOOD advice from another company, and they are giving me some options, one of which is replacing my ENTIRE sewer line, from transition to saddle, for the same price that ARS offered to do a half ass patch job.
I’m pretty disgusted. Someone in the situation I was in today dealing with s**t up to the elbows (literally) is pretty susceptible to persuasion and saying «yes» to the first person who turns up with a solution.

I needed a Plumber to come out and trouble shoot a leak in my wall from my water hose freezing over the winter.
Tammy answered the phone and was very attentive to the call.
Marvin showed up in a couple of hours and was able to pin point the problem quickly. He explained the proper way to have the leak fixed and was done fairly quickly.
Thank you ARS for assuring me that I will never have this problem again.

Last fall, I had to replace the furnace that was original to the house I own. After receiving the usual 3 bids, I selected Home Depot’s quote. They outsourced the work to ARS/​Rescue Rooter. The salesperson, Bob, was very knowledgeable and quite responsive all the way up to the purchase. The furnace was installed on time by professional service people who were very responsive, polite and efficient. At that point, it was 5-​star service. Then, things started to move downhill. There were rebates attached to the purchase and, to redeem them, I had to go through ARS. Also, in order to get the furnace inspected, ARS had to make the arrangements. The experience was, at best, a cluster and is still ongoing since November, 2015. It took months to arrange the inspection and, even then, the arrangements were not as requested. I received the Xcel rebate but am still waiting for the manufacturer’s rebate. As I understand it, there was turnover in this position and a number of items were neglected in the transition. In February, I was told that ARS would cover the rebate. Today, I got a check number and was informed that the request had been forwarded to corporate. Still waiting…

I just got off the phone with one of the resceptionists at ARS Rescue Rooter Denver and she was awfully, rude and not helpful at all. I had not experienced this type of bad experience before with a service company. Unfortunately we have to use their plumbing system as visit is scheduled but we will go back to Blue Sky Plumbers for their expertise and professionalism.

Aaron Lyle did a great job and was very professional and courteous.

I was referred by Home Depot to install a basic installation. The operator started the conversation with «just to let you know, the prices start at $ 10,000». Other quotes from the same referral were 5x less.

After living with their repairs for over a year, I felt it was finally time to give a review. Our contact Joseph was very nice, but the quality of the work is overall disappointing, especially for the price we paid to have our main sewer line done, new pipes put in, and a replacement for our hot water heater installed. We have not only experienced a severe drop in water pressure after a complete overhaul of our water lines, which was explained to us as a symptom of new pipes, and resulted in us having to install special high pressure shower heads and faucets, but our rough-​in for a second bathroom was done incompletely, resulting in a backup of our garbage disposal waste line into the roughed-​in room that took hours to clean and months to rid the smell of. Also our water heater that they ordered for us is probably twice as big as it would ever need to be, which to me seems like a waste of money.
I have another plumber in the house right now for a separate issue who has just informed me that said rough-​in for a second bath was not set up correctly, and the drain system will have to be re-​worked when we do decide to set that bathroom up. Unfortunately that won’t be for another few years, as the repairs ASR performed were so costly we’re still paying them off. Lesson learned!

It’s almost two weeks later and we finally have every issue from a simple sewer line back up completed. Luckily, we decided not to spend the $ 12,000 for completely unnecessary work they wanted us to do.
It started with a call just before 1pm on Sunday. No worries, we’ll have someone there in two hours. Then in three hours. Then, he’ll be there soon. Ben showed up around 5, couldn’t find the main line pipe, so he pulled an upstairs toilet and sent his snake down that way.
Except, he ended up not going down the pipe, but rather across and into the toilet in the bathroom behind the bathroom he was actually working on. He thought he had found a stubborn clog, so he revved up the motor on his machine, burst through the porcelain toilet, then revved it even more to yank it back out. When my asked if there should be such loud, explosive sounds, Ben told us that was normal, no worries, but his machine wasn’t working anymore, so he’d have someone back out that night to finish snaking the line and he’d be back at 11am to replace the toilet.
Three hours later, when I called wondering why I hadn’t heard from them, the on duty woman said that she had not heard about this from Ben, and besides, they didn’t have any techs available since it was Sunday night.
11am Monday morning passes. 1pm, the close of the window, passes. Apparently, Ben had some paperwork to do, then had to give a supervisor a lift home, but then he’d definitely be here as soon as he hit up Home Depot for a replacement toilet. 4pm arrives and he’s finally here. He swapped out the toilet, but then had a mysterious issue with not one, but two machines, so he couldn’t get the line unclogged.
Around 7:30pm or so Monday night, Bob B showed up. He got the line unclogged but said he couldn’t find a reason for the clog, so he’d have someone come out and scope the line to see what the problem was. Luther showed up two days later (after we received a call telling us that our first appointment needed to be cancelled since they «only have a couple guys who can use the cameras well.»
Wednesday morning, Luther showed up. He showed us some pictures of the ‘belly’ in our line. It was less than ten feet long, and located 80+ feet out from the house. It’s a big problem, we’ll keep having to get it cleared out, so we’d better drop $ 12k to get it fixed up. Sign here and we can start tomorrow. Don’t worry, they have a payment plan. Ten years at $ 140 a month.
We received no dvd of the scope. We were told the joints in the pipe were gaps that needed to be repaired. Luther had great difficulty distinguishing between our cast iron pipe and the clay pipe from the city. He completed missed that there was a third type of piping in the line.
John from Mainline Services, LLC came out, scoped it to give us a second opinion, and told us that if he were inspecting it for us as home purchasers, he would tell us that it’s in great shape, but needs annual maintenance like all 60 year old sewers do.
When the toilet was exploded, pieces of porcelain shrapnel gouged our wall. It wasn’t awful, but ARS did nothing about it until today. The supervisor, Kenan, was supposed to have called me over a week ago about how they were going to remedy it. He never called. Luckily, one of their customer service reps was willing to call their contractor to come over and fix it. Why couldn’t, or wouldn’t, anyone else do such a simple thing to take car of the problem.
In sum, ARS Rescue Rooter has horrible customer service, seemingly incompetent techs, and prey on people in stressful situations to con you out of huge sums of money for completely unnecessary work. Fraudulent, corrupt, and incompetent.

Aaron L from ARS is simply the best plumber I have ever used. Polite and very competent. He did a complicated install for me and I could not be happier. ARS is a good company but I will always ask for Aaron on future plumbing needs

Unbelievably bad service. Called at 6:30 pm on Friday night for clean out for backed up service. Confirmed someone would be at our home around midnight with a 30 minute confirmation call before they showed up. We called at 1:15 am and again at 1:30 am and again at 2:30 am to find out when someone would be here. At 2:30 I was informed that we had canceled the call at 1:15 am. Still waiting for dispatch to call me back to schedule. UNACCEPTABLE.
They got one * since I could not give them zero stars.
Still have a backed up sewer.

I don’t trust them. We just bought our house and called them first because the furnace upstairs wouldn’t work. They came out, told us our heat exchanger was cracked, it had rust, and the heater was 15+ years old. They could not get the furnace to work. They recommended we replace the furnace. We called the home warranty company about it and they sent out a different company. 25 min. and $ 60 later, we have heat. Our furnace was manufactured in 2006 (the repairman showed me the sticker), has no rust, and no evidence of a cracked heat exchanger.

THEIR «TUNE UP» IS A SCAM, BEWARE.
Got my AC unit «Tuned Up» and it was working fine before they came to my house. After the tech left, the AC Unit freezes every time I turn it on. I called the company, and they «fixed it» again… not so, they sent a new tech out to tell me that the unit looked fine… Machine remains frozen. Sent another «senior tech» out to the house who said the unit looked fine, and couldn’t figure out why it was freezing. They said they might get me a refund. Never heard from them after repeated attempts. The Scam is to get you to sign up for their «maintenance program,» which I did, but then they break your machines, so they have to come back and fix them. I had to dispute They are always trying to up sell you on more services, and can’t provide competent techs to give quality service. AVOID…

I am very livid right now. We made two appointments with ARS for today, almost two weeks ago. One was for the furnace and one for the water heater. We are going out of town tomorrow, and will not be back until the day before our house closes. ARS called us yesterday and cancelled the furnace appointment and I just got a call that the appointment schedules from 2 – 4 is now moved closer to 5. What is the point of making appointments if you cannot be reliable? We took the day off to handle this, so not only are we losing wages, but also do not have our work done.
And when I call the number below I am on hold for 30 minutes and no one answers. The comment from the company below seems copied and pasted over and over. I’m not sure anyone will actually contact me.
UPDATE: Upgrade from 1 to 2 stars. After complaining to the manager, he was able to get both people out today. Work was great.

Abrupt and uncompromising customer representative, who deleted my appointment, then wanted me to wait an additional several weeks after I had already scheduled this service three weeks before this.
I scheduled an HVAC servicing on the 2^nd of June, to be serviced on the 24^th of June. At the time I scheduled the appointment, I was told they were totally open during the week of the 24^th, and it would be no problem. The rep I spoke to was very nice, and patiently talked with me about what was the issue with my system that I wanted them to address (the air conditioner was icing up, and likely needed to be recharged).
However today, on the 23^rd, I received a very abrupt voicemail from ARS informing me that they had too many appointments, and emergency calls, so my appointment was removed, and would have to be rescheduled for after July 14^th, along with a token ‘sorry.‘
I called the customer service number that was left on the voicemail, and spoke with a very abrupt woman who gave me another token ‘sorry’ and then proceeded to tell me that because my AC system was running (despite the fact that it ices over, overflows the catch tray, and cannot cool below 82 degrees), that they had dropped my appointment in favor of emergency calls.
The customer rep refused to push my service back to the next day, or even later into the week. She was very abrupt and firm that they could not change the appointment, and instead I needed a new appointment, which would be July 14^th, a full 3 weeks after when my appointment was supposed to be.
I can understand having emergencies that force them to push back appointments, but it is unacceptable that they canceled my appointment, then gave me only the option of having to reschedule for weeks later, instead of pushing back their entire appointment schedule.
So I can speak to their service, but if they had actually scheduled and shown up for my appointment, I could have a better opinion of their services. Even more, if they had called sooner to tell me that they were going to just cancel my appointment, I would have had more time to find someone else more reliable and timely.
