Have used Al’s for years. They are very erasable when it comes to pricing and Nate and Theresa are always there when you need them.

Can’t say as I have experienced their service, because I was never able to get them to show up. I worked with their scheduler, but they were never able to pull it together to make the service call that I was promised, twice no less. They have a nice email interface and you request a service call through that portal so I assumed that they had their act together and were service oriented. They responded to that promptly and promised a service call on following Monday between Noon and 2PM. Come 3:00PM, «Oops, blew that one off– no call, nothing, just did not show up.» I called the office, they rescheduled for the next day. Opps, blew that one off as well. No call from their office, nothing. Finally got a call from the guy on the truck who was really decent, offered me a big discount for my trouble etc. But sorry it’s not about the money, I won’t do business with a company that can’t be bothered to stay in touch when something needs rescheduling or some other problem arises. I know some repair people have a bad rep of not showing up, but certainly not all and probably not the majority. There are a good number who offer stellar service — I just have to find one. Oh yeah, Thanksgiving is two days away; so thank’s to Al’s for leaving me in the ditch on this one.

Ya, well, he came back in two days because it wasn’t chillin or freezing and said and I quote, «you need to go buy a new refrigerator». It’s Christmas eve! So we did and have a better French door type. Loving it. Al’s gave us half our money back in exchange for the circuit board which, while it may have been part of the problem, wasn’t the solution. Compressor conked out. Word up: GE’s suck and much research later found they have a life of about 8 years! The new one’s a KitchenAid — we’ll see how it goes. It is more energy efficient and has a plethora of digital options in the door. Will this be a good thing? Time tells all.
