Affordable Radon is a family owned and operated radon mitigation company, established in 2011 by Tyson Hoff.

With years of experience in the industry, we started out and continue to follow excellent installation standards with our radon systems, while still being able to keep our prices affordable for our customers.

Used these guys based on reviews from Unilocal and was not disappointed. The installation at our house was done by John, who was able to answer all my questions and accommodate all my requests with the location of the pump etc… The installation was done very clean and appears to be working great. We’re going to do the charcoal test in about a week and see whether it’s doing what it supposed to. I provided John with some exterior paint and he applied 2 coats to the outside piping of the system at no additional charge. No dirt or trash was left behind at all. Overall i was pretty impressed with the workmanship and professionalism.

We had to have some improvements made in order to sell our house. In the process, we encountered many incompetent businesses/​people. Affordable Radon was an exceptionally professional company. They identified our problem, and accomplished everything they said needed to be done in the time and way they described. They were very thorough in their work, clean up, etc. We were extremely satisfied.

These guys did a great job in Nov. 2013. Tyson set up the appt. and installation, but 2 other guys did the install. It took them about 3.5 hours which was less than they had planned. They were able to put it up through my garage so I don’t have PVC going up the outside of my house. They even came back to fix one slight problem. My radon was 9.7 and went down to 1.1. Very pleased and would recommend them. I love that no one can tell we have a mitigation system since it vents out of the garage roof.

I recently purchased a home and the radon levels were slightly elevated in the unfinished basement. As my wife and I were intending to finish the basement we decided to have a radon system installed in the home.
I was referred to Affordable Radon by a neighbor who was had been referred to them by another neighbor as they had been very satisfied by them.
These guys did a job on the install and followed up after to correct a minor issue that was due to an employee that is no longer with the company. The current owner stands behind their work and I couldn’t be happier with the end product (as happy as one can get over a radon system anyway).
Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a radon system.

Tyson and his team were hired to fix a system installed by SWAT that did not do anything to lower the radon levels in a home we were purchasing. Affordable Radon installed a larger, upgraded system and guaranteed that they would get our levels to 4.0 or lower without additional fees above and beyond the original upgrade charge. Although it took a few return visits to seal off additional areas, dig a bigger hole and ultimately seal off our crawl space, we just got results back indicating that our levels had gone from a 9 (that was starting point — — the SWAT installed system only took it to an 8.5) to a 2.
Over the course of the past few months as they have worked with us to lower the numbers, I have been incredibly impressed with Tyson’s responsiveness and level of customer service, as well as the professionalism of the guys he has working for him. They always show up on time and work fast and hard.
I would definitely recommend Affordable Radon.

Difficult to find fault with amazing quality, customer service, and speed. My wife and I are preparing to finish our basement and should we ever have to sell our home we did not want someone paranoid about radon to require us to add a system after the fact. Called Tyson and his two guys came prepared and right on time. They went right to work, removed their shoes in our home every time, and installed our mitigation system in less than 4 hours. That includes painting the exterior piping to match our home! (I supplied the paint)
I cannot say enough positive accolades for this company. The saying goes ‘You get what you pay for,” while that is certainly the case in most every industry, in radon mitigation you can save some money (we saved about $ 275 versus the nearest competitor) and the quality of the installation was outstanding.
Comes with a 30 yr warranty on the install and the fan itself, the only moving part, has a 7 yr warranty. For those, like me that watched a bunch of YouTube videos on mitigation installs, these guys were able to remove about 15 gallons of soil (soil was moist or it would have likely been 20) and the system, including our sump, are completely sealed with appropriate caulk and PVC cement. Also were able to place our system in the ideal location with no issues. Just amazing how clean the install was in such a short period of time.
To follow Angel’s lead: Our home is a 3000 sq ft two story with a 1000 sq ft basement. Radon level started at 6 (12÷15÷13). Will see in a few weeks what they have dropped to… UPDATE (2÷15÷13) Levels are now 1.9 which is excellent and the exterior equipment has shown no issues with our recent well below zero snaps and high winds.

UPDATE:
I know I said I’d update if something went wrong, but these guys did so well, I felt I had to update in a positive manner.
They got my radon down to a 0.9. That was crazy low! I’m going to re-​test to be sure next year, but so far, still good.
If it helps, our place is a 2000sqft ranch with attached single car garage. The main floor is 1000sqft and the basement is 1,000sqft at 90% finished.
