Yellow Cab of Augusta

The worst of the worst. It doesn’t matter which one of their drivers you get, they’re all useless. Quoted times and waiting passengers mean absolutely nothing to them. If you have a deadline and/​or somewhere to be at a certain time, don’t bother using this company. I have tried everything with this company from directly contacting drivers to confirming with dispatch that cabs were on their way, it never ever works out.
All I can say is THANK GOD UBER HAS COME TO AUGUSTA. Forget the fact that it’s half the price, it’s just mind-​blowing when the driver actually shows up at within the quoted waittime. Competition like this should hopefully put these clowns out of business soon.

I still stand by this review and I remain grateful that I will never have to rely on this joke of a «service» on post again. I would sooner walk to the gate to catch another cab company than ever use Yellow Cab again in Augusta.

This is, without any shadow of a doubt, the absolute worst taxi service I have ever encountered. Period.
To list the pros: polite customer service, good prices ($ 3/​person anywhere on post), nice drivers
To list the negatives: complete lack of cab service in any timely fashion
I just waited almost 1.5hrs for a cab that never showed up — I had to call and cancel as the store would have closed before I made it there. Also, earlier this week at 6am I called for a cab that didn’t show up until 40min later. That was because the only cab on post was at the airport, meaning the only cab company allowed to operate on post, had no cabs on post.
I’m not sure what imagined reason Fort Gordon has for only allowing Yellow Cab to contract as the monopoly transportation provider here, but it is clearly misguided. I’m also not really sure how this review can help anyone, because they are the only cab service to choose from.
I guess the only lesson here is to get a rental car in advance. If your orders don’t allow for one, get one anyways or prepare to walk. The average wait time is longer than it takes to walk across the post anyways, so it boggles my mind why the military will not let any other cab companies operate here.

Worst taxi service ever! I am so fed up with the shitty service they provide!
My girlfriend had a 525 AM flight today, called at 330 AM and was quoted 10 mins for the taxi…
The stupid stupid taxi cab driver couldn’t figure out where he was and how to get to me… It is now 440 AM and the taxi finally picked my girlfriend up.
Perfect! She’s most likely going to miss her flight! And we can pay more out of pocket now for this shitty service.
Unfortunately yellow cab of augusta is contracted with fort gordon so there isn’t much I can do about it… Or can I?
Hope to not see this piece of shit taxi service around for much longer. Fuck you yellow cab!

Called fir a cab at 6:15 PM on a Saturday in Evans, so I expected a bit of a delay being a weekend night, but what I got at 8:05 (two hours later) was a cab that smelled like 10 sticks of incense was simaultaniously being burnt and a starting wage of $ 4.25 (is this normal? I haven’t lived here long). I’m not sure how the rest of Augusta companies are, but I definitely won’t be calling Yellow Cab again.

This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with any sort of customer service company. I called for a cab and was told they would be there to pick me up soon, I called back a half hour later and an hour later and was told both times that the driver would be there to get me in a few minutes. After waiting for an hour and a half I finally got a call from the driver telling me he would be there in 10 minutes, he finally showed up 30 minutes later. When he arrived I wasn’t sure if he was there for me or not because there was a woman sitting in the front seat who looked like she was passed out. When I did get in the cab it had a strange smell and the driver barely acknowledged my presence. I will never again use Yellow Cab in Augusta.

Five years later and they still suck. If you don’t mind being picked up and dropped off at THEIR convenience, give them a call. I just waited for two hours and had to find another way back to my barracks. Literally just now, at the three hour mark from my initial call they’re calling me back. I hope I’ve wasted your time and energy as much as you wasted mine.

Worst service available unless you want to consistently wait two or more hours for rude dispatchers and shady drivers. Try Robert’s Cab instead. Mr Robert is reliable and friendly.

This is ridiculous. It is your BUSINESS to pick up/​drop off people and/​or package, and ON TIME I might add!!!
Negative red stars would be in right order to efficaciously describe this company. When I called for service (2 hours prior to service needing to be rendered mind you) I let them know I would be needing to be picked up PROMPTLY at 8:10AM as I needed to drop my son off at school. A 2.7 mile short trip. My car had neglected to run the weekend prior.
In any case, the driver was late. When I called, I was told 7 more minutes. 15 minutes fly by and needless to say I am NOT thrilled. However, I declined to sound irate on the phone, concerned but not upset, even though my son is now late for school. I asked about some sort of discount or incentive in retribution of the lateness and was of course told NO!
As to the reason behind the faulty service, «Something happened to the driver’s car.» A few things wrong with that statement: A. Not my problem. B. If he didn’t get into an accident then there is not much of a valid excuse because C. Your cabs should be in good standing/​service BEFORE you dispatch them.
All in all… The cab service failed to do their job properly. If you offer a service, give a service!

If you need a cab on Fort Gordon these guys are the only authorized service, they are extremely unreliable and over priced, not sure how they got the contract but they suck

I only took a very short trip from Medical College to Augusta State. The dispatcher was very polite, but that may just be because I am a mean person from the north. The cab came within minutes to the apartment, and it was an uneventful trip. I did notice that the cab was brand new. Super clean. Maybe I was the first passenger?
