What: Free e tutoring and home work for high school 9th to 12th grade in Science and Mathematics subject

When: This program supported by professional volunteers who has their full time job. So we are available evening and weekend but we also support exceptional cases.

Where :Takshila Education provide tutoring and homework facility online and class room. We also support in class tutoring at two places right now. Augusta Christian School and Richmond County High School, local libraries depend on requirement

How: we are 38 academic scholar who are supporting it right now. We also partner with Technical Association of Georgia and Augusta Christian School.

The high school dropout rate in our Richmond county is 40%. Every high school dropout costs taxpayers average $ 24 000 annually and high school graduates make 74% more money than high school dropout. We started two years ago helping our local schools by participating in the STEM project. We are involved in the free tutoring and homework project with the help of my Verizon Wireless colleagues and other professionals from local organizations and retired school teachers. We support tutoring and home work for STEM subject in GA and SC. We chose these two states particularly because SC ranks first and GA 4th in the nation for highest high school dropout rate. We are also creating animated Science video lectures for students on selected typical topics so that students can easily understand concepts.

We offer students after– school hours and weekend classes depend on student needs. We also participate in summer internship program for high school students so that it can create student intere
