Specialties
When you enter Jackie M’s & Son Café and Catering you immediately experience the smell of freshly baked Italian rolls or Cookies or Peach Cobblers. Our Italian rolls are baked from scratch daily.
The soft soulful sounds of sweet music is playing in the background from a recipe of 2 tablespoons of Old School R&B, 1 & ½ tablespoons of Jazz, 1 Tablespoon of Gospel, a dash of old school rock & roll and a regular heaping of James Brown sprinkled with the freshness of Bill Cosby. Now where else but Jackie M’s & Son can you experience a delicious appetizer of a plethora of sounds than here? Mix that with lively conversation, great food and service and you are experiencing the daily activity at Jackie M’s & Son.
History
Established in 2001.
Chef Jacqueline J. McCalla is originally from Cincinnati Ohio and received her Culinary Arts Degree from Augusta Technical College in Augusta Georgia. Jackie also has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting from Wilberforce University where she met her husband Clinton McCalla Sr. Jackie and her husband opened up Jackie M’s in 2001 with the intent to provide catering for the surrounding area. They decided to sell Philly Cheese Steaks and Hoagies after Jackie discovered the recipe for making Italian rolls like the ones in Philadelphia. With Clinton Sr. being from Philadelphia Pennsylvania it was only natural that they would sell Philly Cheese Steaks and Hoagies. All of our Italian rolls are baked from scratch daily. Word spread that their Philly Cheese Steaks and Hoagies were as authentic as they are in Philadelphia.
