Bojangles Famous Chicken & Biscuits

I find that Bojangles are different from store to store. Some hardly ever sacrifice quality no matter what time of the day you go and some it’s really touch and go. Wrightsboro Rd. is one of those locations. The breakfast used to be an A+ all the time for me but lately there are times I grab a biscuit and it feels like it was yesterday’s. I will say they are more often great than not. Outside of breakfast, it’s really touch and go. When the chicken is fresh it’s really good. I’m a wing girl so I’ve been disappointed lately that the wings are so big and not given enough fry time. They end up tough to pull apart and just not fried long enough. The sides are ok. I think their fries are terrible. A couple times I thought I received heated up old fries but then I sent Mister there one day and he swears they cooked them fresh and they just tasted like an old potato; very dry and starchy and over seasoned.
I got back on this Bojangles kick after a road trip to Pennsylvania. We stopped at one in Statesville, NC and everything was so good and fresh. They renewed my faith in Bojangles so much that I stopped going to Popeye’s for a while. Unfortunately, I’ve gone back to Popeye’s. I’ll still make a stop here for breakfast from time to time but I’ll take my chicken cravings elsewhere.

Well I must say they do have great biscuits. The chicken really great when fresh as are the sides. Breakfast is pretty good like the bacon, egg, cheese is nice and the service is not really slow at all as is the store is really clean. Try them out.

I do think that you can get value at Bojangles. The 8 piece picnic meal with 2 sides, 4 biscuits and a half gallon of sweet tea is a good deal for just under $ 22. The food has been good. Nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about. The issue I have is the wait. Why soooo long for the wait? We waited again for something that nothing was «hot» as if it was just out of the fryer. Then when the box was brought to the window the lady looked right at me and set it right inside the drive thru window then walked away. I had to sit for another 5 minutes for NO reason. Nothing was added to the box. She just dropped it there and 2 people just stared at me as I point to the box asking for it. Again Food is good the service is terrible.

Good hot chicken fast on Wrightsboro Rd. I like it. Ready for a pork chop biscuit! They actually have two windows so don’t zoom past the first one by mistake.
