Alliance Hospice is a full service, in-​home hospice care provider with service offices in Augusta, Georgia and North Augusta, South Carolina, headquartered in Ambler, Pennsylvania. Alliance’s mission is to provide hospice and palliative (symptom-​relieving) care for all patients needing hospice services. Hospice care is end-​of-​life care for terminally ill patients with a life expectancy of six months or less. The emphasis is on treatment that will improve the patient’s quality of life (palliative care) rather than on curative care. The goal of hospice care is neither to hasten nor prolong the natural course of the patient’s disease; it is to improve the quality of life during the patient’s last few months.

Patients are typically treated in-​home. A team of physicians, nurses, counselors, and other professionals work with both the patient and the patient’s family to provide services that are tailored to the patient’s needs. As well as providing palliative medical treatment, such as pain relief, the hospice team provides emotional and spiritual support for the patients and their families.

Manager

Bruce Dalglish oversees the development and strategic direction of the Company. He served on the Public Policy Committee of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) from 2008 to 2013. Mr. Dalglish was a Managing Director of Morse Partners Ltd. from 1988‑2008, where he managed the firm’s private equity investing activities, worked on healthcare transactions, and served as Chairman or President of the firm’s portfolio companies. He was also the Managing Partner of CA Equity Partners and Chestnut Partners. He has held positions with Bank of America; Magnatex Corporation; and Dimeling, Schreiber and Dalglish, served as a Director of the private equity firm Retail Options, LLC, and served on Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell’s Transition Committee for the Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System (SERS) and the Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS). Mr. Dalglish received a BA from Harvard College and an MBA from The Wharton School.
