I just wanted to give an update of this review. I received a full refund from The Walker Center and a note that they had upgraded a few things. I still wouldn’t stay here but I may visit the next time I visit Boston. That might be a while though. Just for the record, I wasn’t only disappointed with my room but the breakfast and the coating of dust that seemed to cover everything. It was a quick and very busy stay and I didn’t have time to ask for another room or make my feelings known while I was there. I also felt that the infrastructure of The Walker Center was less than accommodating. It was hard to find someone in the office. It seemed like they were never there.

Stayed here for a staff retreat and enjoyed it. Lots of space to meet and break out and gather your own thoughts. Plenty of healthy food options. The staff is excellent: friendly, helpful, prompt. If you stay overnight, there are a variety of options: some rooms are doubles with a shared bath for the floor, others are suites. Linen service is provided, but if you do go, take an extra set if you don’t want to use the same towel – I think you have to use the same linens during your whole stay. It’s not a bad place to visit and stay awhile.
