What are those 5 stars rating? Is it a joke? I had Taco Time for the first time for dinner and that’s gonna be my last time. I live 2mins away and decided to try it. 30 $ for dinner with the worst chicken burritos and beef burritos I’ve ever tried. I regret going there and spend that much for cold food and small portion. The only thing that tastes fine was the fries. And I got sick after trying to finish the burritos. I don’t recommend this place at all. A big NO. The drive thru is awkward. The food is ridiculous to compare with a Mexican restaurant 2 minutes away.

What I love about Taco Time is that they’re a wonderful alternative to Taco Bell. Yeah, its not cheap, its the Whole Foods of Fast Food Mexican, but the food you get is fresh and tastes amazing. This location is very bright on the inside and feels very open with the all glass«office building» design. I have to agree, though, the drive-thru is a bit confusing, which is what led my fiancée and I to walk inside in lieu of the drive-thru, but this is one of those locations that you sort of want to head inside to look around.

Hard drive-in to find, parking lot arrows need re paint, and more signs from main road. Cost was high for the quality. :(won’t be back.

What a great experience we had! First of all, fresh and enjoyable burritos! I haven’t been at Taco Time for a while and, as a result, haven’t tried a good burrito for a while. It was a breath of fresh air. My wife and I loved them. Great modern design inside. Very well done. Whoever built and designed inside/outside of this location thought it through. Kudos! Finally, employees were engaging and one of them was kind enough to give us 3 bags of cinnamon Crustos 20 minutes before they were closing(BTW, change closing time from 11 to 10 pm on Google Maps). My 3-year old loved those. Kept eating them all the way home :) Thank you! We had a great and calm time at this location!

I think this is the best Taco Time I have visited in awhile! I have loved Taco Time since I was a kid. But I stopped going there for awhile because they are slightly higher priced than other fast food,(but worth it when service is good). Another reason I quit going is because it took so long at the Covington location and I would end up with half a box of mexi nuggets. But I hadn’t tried them in awhile and was running errands with the hubby today, had a craving for it, so gave it a shot. Gotta love the awesome design of the place! It looks like a glass building, you can’t miss it. One thing is make sure you follow the signs for the drive thru as it’s a bit of a strange setup… but it was efficient. Keep in mind I’m accustomed to a 20 minute wait at the Covington drive thru because I always order the crisp chicken burrito meal with a side of ranch. They told me the reason it took so long was it takes awhile to cook the burrito. Interestingly all orders at the Covington drive thru appeared to take forever. So I’d say at this location in Auburn we spent MAYBE ten minutes in the drive thru. Probably more like five. There were a few other cars in front of us, but they moved through quickly. But apparently the lady who took our cash thought it took awhile as she apologized for the wait. So we ordered with no mistakes, paid with no hassle, and our order was given to us exactly as we ordered it with a box FULL of mexi nuggets. They remembered my side of ranch,(which Covington remembered only half the time), and as an added bonus they gave me lots of napkins. I’m messy so that makes me happy! The workers were also super friendly! Since I had such a great experience at this location I will definitely be back more frequently.

I love this location of Taco Time! I have been a Taco Time customer since the mid-60s when they opened a store in Lakewood. I love it for the slightly less spicy versions that introduced me to the idea of eating Mexican food(yes, I have been to Mexico and I know it’s nothing like real Mexican food, but I love it for what it is). The store is immaculately clean. The servers are very friendly, fast and helpful. I stop here every time I’m driving on highway 167 — it’s just a little way off the main highway and it’s easy to get in and out of the parking lot and back onto 15thNE to get back on the highway — there’s a light right there. I usually get the same thing — a natural soft taco, with mexi-fries and a drink. I’ve had this at many locations and this one is the best — the lettuce and tomato is fresh and chilled, the meat, beans, cheese and sour cream is distributed evenly in the whole wheat tortilla wrap. It’s a lot of food. They don’t add a lot of extra salt to the fries. Oh, and nearly everything they use for serving is recyclable. They do charge a few cents to use a debit card — but I’m still so thrilled that we developed the technology to even HAVE debit cards, I don’t mind paying a fee to use it at all.

This is one of the better taco times in the PNW because the staff is friendly and helpful. As with any taco time the prices aren’t the best but their food is tasty. my only problem is serving size, their burritos are on the smaller side compared to every other taco time I’ve been too. not enough meat.

We are Northwest Taco Time fans, and eat there typically once/week. Always fresh food that tastes great(okay, except for the tomatoes when they aren’t in season in the Pacific Northwest… they’re just red). The guys at this location are great. Good service and almost always a smile. The only problem is that the ceiling is so high, it’s hard to keep the place heated adequately during the winter.

I am not in Texas, and this place is definitely NOT Tex-Mex, so I will do my best to review the place on its own merits and try not to bash it for what it is not. I ordered the Beef Mexi-Meal and a medium diet coke. It cost $ 10.22, but if you aren’t paying cash, they hit you with a small up charge. I hate that so much, it will make me think twice about returning, no matter how desperate I get for the tastes of back home. Who up charges customers for using their debit card? How utterly stupid!!! Thank God I had cash! But I rarely do, so what now? I want a self serve soda machine with more flavors to choose from. Coke has a new, amazing machine that allows customers to take a base beverage and add different flavors, such as an orange Coke Zero, or even a plain Coke Zero would be better than a nasty Diet Coke. Give me variety!!! Now, on to the Mexi-Meal, item by item. The little salad is shredded lettuce, tomato slice, and choice of salsas or dressings. It should be served with fresh pico de gallo, fresh dollop of sour cream and guacamole instead. But the 2 item salad was cold and fresh. I chose ranch dressing since I couldn’t get guacamole. The tator tots were hot, well seasoned, and no burned old fryer grease taste. Good job! Even though I would have preferred fresh chips to dip in a salad I mentioned in the previous paragraph instead of potatoes. The side of retried beans were flat-out nasty! It is shameful that they serve it to customers. they should be hot, creamy, and well seasoned with a slightly spicy kick to it. Not too much spice though. What they serve tastes like it came from a can, and not Goya Canned beans with chorizo, but the nasty store brand stuff only an uneducated gringo would buy. The beef taco was fresh, served with enough beef to satisfy your hunger, unlike Taco Bell. But, I’m not fond of the seasoning. Maybe it’s because I’m from Texas and I prefer a different taste. But kudos for the freshness of ingredients. Lastly, there is an item I will call a flautas. It’s the aforementioned beef fried up in a flour tortilla. It came out very hot and fresh, and I ate it last! The only thing wrong with it was I would have preferred something to dip it in. Cheese sauce, guacamole, fresh salsa or pico. Just something. I didn’t even mind the beef seasoning in this ultra hot fried burrito type thing. Here’s my suggestion for the beans and beef flavoring. Have the executives fly to DFW, and sample the beans and beef at Taco Bueno and Taco Cabana, and come back and inject some flavor in your beef and beans. And while they are there, notice both of those restaurant’s condiment bars! Something similar but better would be awesome additions to the dining experience here. It’s Mexican Food. Go ahead and spice it up a bit!

Drive through is backwards, they charge more for credit card purchases, the food is usually messy, and they are very slow. Won’t return.

Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this TT. I definitely do not like the new drive thru — you really need 2 lanes… there is never anybody there when I come and the turn puts you far away from the 1st window(poor design, stupid idea). The food — meh and overpriced. Wanted a veggie burrito — they gave me the wrong one and mexi fries –they were fine) = Cost $ 8.15 Way overpriced especially since the burrito ended up in the garbage Won’t be back…

Further compounding Taco Time’s poor ability to handle customers, I view it as more an arrogance, they request me to fill out a survey? Insult to injury, sorta. I just wrote the entire review with my criticisms, and then you ask me to fill out a survey… did you not just read my review? But, being suckered into it, I took the time to fill out a 10 minute survey further conveying my experience… do you think I heard back from them? Nope. Not a word. I know a many establishments that desire to make things right with their customers when things didn’t go well, and will go out of their way to make it up to you. Not Taco Time. If the experience I wrote about wasn’t upsetting enough, the idea that they give a political apology and act interested in righting the wrong on a public site with no actual intention… that’s insulting.

A total passage back to the 80’s! Neon and glass everywhere. Kim Carnes playing on the stereo. AND deep fried burritos. The only one down in California closed about 10 years ago and I’ve never seen one since. This one was pretty close to our hotel so we gave it a shot for lunch. Just as good as I remember.

I get the Chicken Tostada Delight salad with 2 containers of ranch, it’s my favorite!(i learned of it by accident through a friend… a good accident!) I have also ordered 2 crisp chicken tacos, and 2 crisp burrito meal combos! I’ve been satisfied with most all every time. Always leave full. I think the Mexi-fries are laced with crack! Haha! once you eat one you will finish the container well unless your about to explode with too much of a good thang! If you dine in, you can refill your drink prior to leaving. Yay 4 Taco Time for keeping the work force fueled and charged! Way to go; keep auburn running with extra lunch time caffeine!!! Wooooooo!!! Weeeeeee!

Nicest taco time I’ve ever been in. It was such an odd pairing of building/business. Glass all around, with fast food being served. Very clean inside the restaurant though, and the food is always delicious, so stop on in!

I don’t really like taco time, but I didn’t want to be «the picky guy» this weekend. After spending more time than anyone else ordering, I finally decided on a number 1 combo. The cashier was very patient the whole time. I asked for them to repour my drink since there was too much ice, and they happily obliged without any dirty looks! I also actually liked my food this time! The past 3 times I’ve been to a taco time, I ended up dissatisfied, but not this time!

Taco Time is probably the only genuine fast food that I always enjoy. That being said, this particular location bugs me a bit. If you go into the restaurant and sit down to eat it’s pretty normal. But for some reason, whenever I go through the drive through, it takes a loooong time to get the food. *shrug* Meh, I still go there from time to time.

This is my favorite Taco Time. My wife and I have been eating at the chain since 1964(yes they are that old) and I still love the Taco Burger(they tried eliminating this a few years ago but still have it for us old timers). I also love their Tater Tots. This location is always friendly, fast and clean. I average eating lunch there 3 – 5 times a month and never regretted it.

Walked up to a cubical glass building and my first thought was the helicopter crashing into a big sky scraper in the Matrix. Alas, this was a 1or 2-story office building(granted it was a fairly tall), and it was a TACOTIME?! **see my pic and you be the judge** Needless to say the building and business seemed an odd match. Regardless, I was hungry after driving over Chinook Pass and through Rainier National Park(on my way up to Everett). So, I ordered a new beef chipotle burrito meal. It was yummy and filled me up for the rest of the trip. So, next time I want to drop a multi-million dollar deal at the office(actually …buy a burrito at a Taco Time), this is a good option.
