I have been teaching swimming to random family members and friends, just for fun, for over 22 years. It wasn’t until I had many people ask me for years, if I would start a business. I officially started Swim To Live in 2009.

I have been married for 26 years and have 6 children ranging in ages 7 – 25 years. Three of my children are biological and 3 are adopted. Four of whom have special needs. I homeschooled for 20 years. I enjoy being with friends and family, cooking, traveling and walking. After teaching my own children, plus many of my friends’ and family’s children to swim, I was highly encouraged to start my own swim instruction business. Operating Swim To Live in my own backyard, enables me to set my own hours and be home with my children. My business is seasonal, which is another advantage. I am only open 12 weeks out of the year. I love my job. There is nothing more rewarding than the possibility of saving a life, and opening up a whole new world to a child, who previously was terrified of the water.
