Established in 2014.

Skaneateles Inn on 20, formerly the Colonial Motel was purchased by Susan and James Dove in May 2014. Susan runs the motel with her daughter Kelly Sears, and also the help of her niece Melissa Perkins. Since buying the motel there have been many changes, and updates done.

Susan Dove is the owner of Skaneateles Inn on 20. After working at the Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce for 17 years she decided to buy the motel. Susan grew up in the motel business, her parents owned The Birds Nest motel in Skaneateles for much of her youth.

A friend and I stayed here for a weekend get away. The rooms are very clean and nicely updated and decorated. I’ve already made a reservation to go back for another weekend. It is 1 mile from town easy to get to everything and quiet. Coffee in the lobby. coffee in the room. Great staff and housekeeping does a wonderful job. I had a great stay

Always friendly and helpful, clean welcoming room.
It’s on the outside of downtown so it’s nice and quiet, but close enough that everything is only a short drive away.
I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Such a great place! I came here and stayed with friends for another friend’s wedding weekend. I had never been to the area but Sue was super welcoming and accommodating! Clean room, fresh towels, hair dryer, and easy access to places. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice spot in Skaneateles!

I found this place by accident coming here for a friend’s wedding. I am so glad I did because this place is so cute! It has a mid-​century vintage charm and you can tell the owners take pride in it because everything is so clean and inviting. I felt so welcome here it was hard to leave!
The bed was very comfortable and the towels in the bathroom were fresh and clean. Everything was provided for my needs including a delicious breakfast plate and bottled water. There was even a brand new hair dryer which was awesome because I forgot to pack one. A fridge and microwave made this the perfect room.
I don’t know if I will be back in this area any time soon but when I am I will definitely stay here again.

The Skaneateles Inn on 20 is in a wonderful location right next to the absolutely gorgeous vacation town of Skaneateles. My wife & I stayed here for the first time a few weeks ago and found the inn to be not only clean but also very comfortable. Not to mention we saved ourselves some money to enjoy the area! We were extremely impressed with the service and plan to stay here again when we come back to visit the area next summer.

We stayed here last night and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, casual, comfortable, convenient stay just outside of Skaneateles. It’s not luxurious, but it’s not trying to be, and it’s not exactly the place to go for a romantic getaway. But it’s wonderful, reminiscent of family road-​trips in the 70s. You can spend many hundreds of dollars for lodging a mile down the road at a beautiful spa retreat, or you can be kind to your budget and stay in a place like this — friendly owners, clean room, comfortable bed, very very close to gorgeous Skaneateles, so affordable. Highly recommend!
