My fav BBQ place in auburn. Can’t beat it with fries and a sweet tea. The price is very good as well. Visit here eveytime I come home. Wish there was one in Atlanta. The best!

SO good! The food was great and you get a lot for your money. The service was fast and helpful when I had questions. If your looking for some great barbecue, this is the place to go!

Solid BBQ. Enjoyed the smokey elements of the ½ chicken, and the Hickory BBQ sauce(when mixed with hot sauce to give it a kick) was the perfect compliment. I wouldn’t call it the best BBQ chicken I’ve ever had, but it was a good effort for sure.

Pretty good and cheap. The portions are large and the meat is tender. The pork was tender and the staff was friendly. I’m a Kansas City girl… our BBQ still rocks, but I’d visit Mike & Ed’s again!

Stopped here on an errant itinerary to the beach. What a great meal. The ribs and chicken are completion ready. Sides were tasty. Service was fast and friendly at the counter. Brunswick stew was the best I’ve had since being in Georgia.

Ate here a second time this last week with my wife. The place was really packed during the lunch hour, but the service was still very fast. Take a jacket, as the AC was blasting. I ordered the daily special, which was a pork sandwich with hickory sauce, it was relatively dry and moderately flavored. It was definitely a few steps down from my ½-lb. chicken order from last time. My wife ordered the ribs, which were really good. Overall, I still highly recommend this place.

We all had something different, and the food was not good. I had barbecue stew, which was stew with chunks of pork on top. The meat was tough and/or fatty with no flavor. The sauces were okay but nothing to brag about. My son had the ½ chicken, and he said it was dry. My daughter liked her wings, but I had one — meh. My husband had a barbecue sandwich which he said was flavorless and dry. He also said the tea(served from a large plastic garbage can) was watered down, although he said the potato salad was good. Even the bread was close to stale. At least I’m not hungry anymore.

This is the best BBQ in Auburn, and 2nd is Byron’s. Everything here is served fresh and in large portions. The chicken and ribs seem to go quick, so go early if you want those. Potato salad, and BBQ stew are my sides of choice. Hickory Sauce is the boss here, but I’m also not a fan of mustard based sauces.

This is one of my favorite BBQ places in the United States. They do a cubed pork sandwich that is excellent. They also have great ice and sweet tea. When I am in the South I love BBQ and sweet tea and this place does both with excellence. I also dig their BBQ beans(they but bacon bites in them!). If anywhere near Auburn check this place out! The Bonus is you get to see a cute college town.

This place is delicious. Sauce is vinegary which i love. It’s yellow which was a big shocking but it was wonderful. Got the pulled pork which had such wonderful smoky flavor. Baked beans were tasty but not out of this world. Potato salad was good too. Really loved the cole slaw — good cabbage flavor without too much mayo. This place is great and just has a fun atmosphere.

Here’s what you need to know: Huge fan of the pulled pork barbbque sandwhich plate with fries and Hickory sauce on the sandwhich. After ordering I get my side condiment bullets of hickory sauce all ready to go(you can never have too much hickory sauce). Get my happy buzz going with a Large Sweet Tea(and I do mean large) and I’m all set. If you have acid reflux I would suggest taking a Pepcid before hand and probablly a nap afterwards.

This is by the far the best Barbecue I have come across on my travels of the South. The ribs are juicy and delicious. Whilst the sides are amazingly tasty and authentic. Not to mention the sweet tea –Soo good. This place is beyond a favourite and makes me super happy.

i love it!(in my icona pop voice) i so miss this place. they do not have one in california :( unlike many bbq joints i have been to which seem to use too much vinegar in the basting sauce, that is definitely not the case with this place. think of words like juicy, tempting, satisfying, appealing, succulent, etc… the ribs are soooo good and tender, they just fall off the bones, and the chicken is very flavorful and not dried out! the pulled pork made me fall in love. it’s like a party in my mouth… the sides that i like most(baked beans and potato salad) are all in all, if you go there to sit down and enjoy, or get a plate to go, you will definitely not regret the choice! 5 enthusiastic thumbs up :)

Hands down best BBQ in Auburn, no ifs, ands or butts.(pork joke) Whoever said that Country’s BBQ is better is wrong. If you want a sit down place with more options for sides thats more expensive than you might be interested in Country’s, but if your main intrest is in some damn good family Alabama BBQ this is your place. Its got character and food that the chain restaurants just cant beat. KEEPINMIND: This place caters like crazy on gamedays and is therefore closed to the general public on football saturdays in addition to being closed on sundays. So if you’re visiting for a game weekend be sure to make it there on Friday, it’s not far from Toomers corner. Alternatively, you can have them cater your tailgate. The pork plates are great but if you’re someone who gets a plate just to make a BBQ sandwich, opt for the regular or whopper sized BBQ sandwich at the top left of the menu. For 3 $ a sandwich, it beats fast food. Less money and less work than the plate. If you have children they do have gutheries style chicken fingers.

Great BBQ, it really has become a staple of a Auburn. It is packed on any ball game weekend but they do a great job of getting orders out fast! Great sweet tea served out of a huge trash can. Their hickory BBQ sauce is freakin delicious! If you are in Auburn there are several BBQ options and this is certainly one of the best!

I had hoped this would be excellent, but was disappointed. Had the pulled pork sandwich and some ribs. The pork was somewhat dry and lacked that great BbQ pork flavor. The sauces weren’t bad, but didn’t really complement or enhance the pork. Ribs weren’t bad, but I wouldn’t try a rack.

The problem I have with this restaurant is not the food — that was fine — the glaring problem with this restaurant is the place itself. First of all, I should love a place with atmosphere like this! Nice and homey, feels like the south, as if you were on a barn. The problem lies therein; it feels like you’re in a barn. Not all that clean, more than one fly flying about the place, dimly lit, booth seats with gaping holes, the floor was sticky, our table wasn’t cleaned where we sat — it was a mess, literally. It’s a big turn-off also when a fly goes into a person’s hair, supposedly dies, then when brushed out falls into a small plate of baked beans. Sound disgusting? Well, this actually happened to my girlfriend while we were there for dinner tonight. Whether it was her fault for the fly falling into her food or not, that is simply unacceptable sanitation. The food, as I said earlier, was not bad at all. It was a small amount, but it matched the cheap price which is welcome in today’s market. The ribs were pretty good, the shredded pork was alright, and the sides were pretty meh also. The main problem I had with the food was that for their«texas toast» or whatever it was, it was literally white bread slices out of the bag. That’s no exaggeration, because I saw them pull it out. I admire the place’s workers, though. There were only two while we were there: the waitress who was quick on service, and the one chef who was quick to put out the food. I’m not sure if there are more people normally when the restaurant is more full, but the two working there were fine. Unfortunately, another problem that brings this place down is the fact that there’s Country’s barbecue, which is the best in Columbus if not best in the whole state. Stiff competition to be sure, but their flavors certainly are better. Overall, I’d say this place is not all that bad, but it does indeed have sanitation issues, so give it a shot if you are really interested.

If there is anything I can give food in Alabama credit for that California can’t compare with, it’s hickory with shredded BBQ pulled pork. It’s heaven in a bun. I ordered their regular sandwich(which basically is a burger) for $ 2.89 along with the BBQ stew which was basically giant chunks of meat stuffed into this delicious stew. Altogether it was a little pricey but it made sense since my BBQ stew soup was basically a second meat dish with some«sauce». The service here is fast and the place is crowded but never entirely full. If there is anything I’m going to miss from the South, it’s this kind of food.
