KP’s Place

Best.Lobster.Roll.Ever. I got it to go, and they gave me enough butter, separately, for 2 rolls! I asked to try their ‘sample’ of clam strips, and it’s what I would have expected a serving size to be. From the look I got of another table, the serving size is 4x that.

Honestly. And this is hard to believe… this place is better than the fabled Red Barn in Augusta. Wonderful seafood basket great slaw and the scallops are extraordinary.

I love KPs. The staff are super friendly and work very hard to satisfy their customers. The food is excellent– I love their Family Meal!

Their fried chicken can not be beat. Best I’ve ever had.

I first got introduced to KP’s by my Rona & Bob Boilard my sister-​in-​law and brother in law. What a Fantastic Place to eat. Excellent food, not greasy, priced right, service is excellent. A very pleasant place to eat! Go often when I can. I have no transportation so it’s sometimes hard to get there. Have been eating there since just after they opened. YUMMY!

Good food at a reasonable price. We dined in and tried several of the fried seafood «snack» sized baskets, the pulled pork and the clam chowder. Everything was delicious and the portions were fair to generous. Food is ordered at the counter and delivered to your table. My only complaint is that they have not put much effort into their dining area. Areas that need Improvement: The bathrooms are in the storeroom. There should be some kind of dividers so you don’t have to look at the storage areas. Although the bathrooms are clean, the sink is falling off the wall in one of them. The floors in the dining area need to be buffed and they need to mount a chair rail as the walls are all dinged up from chair backs hitting them. Tables and chairs are cheap and uncomfortable. The whole place smells of frying oil so there may be a problem with the vent hood. Definitely a great place for take out if you live nearby since fried food is best consumed right away. Sadly, we are about half an hour away, so until they upgrade the dining area we probably won’t be back.

I was in Auburn for a conference and the desk clerk said there was only one place to go for a lobster roll– KP’s. I wasn’t the only one in my party who wanted Maine lobster. Several had the roll. It was VERY tasty. A quarter-​pound of lobster on a perfectly toasted roll. Simply and expertly done.
I also had their clam chowder. Perfect. Others in my party had the Haddock Sandwich and the Maine Shrimp plate. Smiles all around!
KP’s is the real deal. If I’m ever back in Auburn I will be returning for sure.

This place is WAY overpriced I can go to a Actual sit down WAITRESS SERVICE seafood restaurant for ½ the $$$ the food was horrible… nuff said
