Had an appointment for 11am to have 3 nails replaced, reshape and color change. Waited 29 minutes to be helped, ok not a big deal things happen. The woman that does nails here was having issues with her kids and kept having to pause to text or call her kids. Ok I understand things happen. What pushed me over the edge was the fact that another client of hers also had an appointment for nails, so I was pushed to the side because the nail tech didn’t set aside enough time to finish my nails. I was shuffled around until she was done. I didn’t leave until 2pm! I can understand things happen but they was ridiculous. I just moved her and have been looking for a good nail salon, but yet again I have been let down. Quality wasn’t bad, but she couldn’t get the shape right. Also, they don’t use a drill here. In my experience drills are faster and give you better finish on the nails. I’m just really frustrated that I was stuck there with half finished nails for 3 hours when I should’ve been done in under an hour. The only reason I give 3 stars is because everyone was nice and offered me coffee while I waited. Quality and timely service is more important to me.

Haircut: 4 stars. Awareness: 1 star. The haircut was OK. In typical stylist conversation: [btw, I’m a guy] «So, are you married or single?» «I’m married.» «So what does your wife do?’ «I don’t have a wife, I have a husband and he’s retired.» (No apology or comment on the faux pas.) For the rest of the conversation, the stylist referred to my husband as my partner. I corrected her that he was not my partner but my husband. She did not(would not?) refer to him as my husband. I must ask myself, where has this woman been for the last 10 years, some cave? How could someone who has read a newspaper, listened to the news,(been awake?) not be aware of the monumental changes in this nation in the past month(year? decade?). I hate to use the term bigotry, but her… what…stupidity? was astonishing. It’s not like I asked her to bake a cake for the wedding. It’s not like she is in a profession that doesn’t have its share of gay guys. I paid for the haircut, tipped her well, but after more than one correction, I’ll leave it to someone else to buy this woman a clue. Worse, it indicates to me that whoever Gregory is, this staff has been untrained and that speaks poorly for the establishment. Please move into the 21st century. This is Maine, not Alabama.

Saw KellyAnn for a shellac mani and she was friendly and meticulous. They do layering there so you can get some unique colors. Also got a pigment on one finger which is fun! Highly recommend!
