I guess I must have better experiences with this Gamestop than others have. I am treated really well when I go in to buy stuff. The manager of it is so nice and always greets people when they come in there when I’m there. You can’t get better costumer service. The sales associates do have sense of humor. I think I know who the guy is the others are talking about, he always looks annoyed that’s just him. He doesn’t beat around the bush and is forthcoming and always willing to help in any way he can.

Like the first reviewer has said, there’s an older man there who is so unprofessional and does treat customers who are young like idiots. I don’t live around this area, but my friend does. My friend and I go here one day, mind you, we’ve been here before and have received terrible service. So, on one occasion we go in, my friend is trading an Xbox 360. This older guy, certainly not a gentlemen, has this annoyed look on his face. Now, these guys you go in to the store and they don’t say hi, or even try to help, unless you’re ready to pay to get out. The entire time we’re there he looks at my friend like a damn idiot, my friend does have a whole bunch of cables tangled, because it does happen. This dude looks mad, he is literally huffing and puffing. I get really frustrated and not because my friend is trying to untangle cables, but because this dude’s attitude and posture and what have you are making me feel obnoxious. The first time I went there, the guy looked and behaved the same way as I would see him 4 other times there in over a year. So I’m passed giving this guy a break because he may be having a bad day, unless we catch him on a bad day every time we go there. This is just annoying, it’s unprofessional and just makes them look like fools. If you want terrific service and an overall great experience go to the GameStop at Burien in West Seattle. Don’t go here.

This game stop isn’t the one I am used to going to often, I have gone before and didn’t have a bad experience but recently. It was pretty awful I went in to do a simple console trade in, it wasn’t too late in the afternoon that it would be busy on a Friday, generally it’s dead. I walked in and the older gentleman working who seemed annoyed to say the least, asked what he could do to help, So I told him what I was hoping to do, an in store trade in of one console toward another. He starts off by saying, you should of called first, I don’t have the key to test, and it will be a wait of 30mins, I said that’s not a problem, I of course wasn’t going to leave the store with my things because well lets face it, It’s Auburn and that wouldn’t be the greatest of ideas. So I hang on to my items and he continues to go on and on about how I should of called and talking down on me like I’m a child.(I do happen to look young but, that’s honestly no excuse to treat me like I’m his daughter and I just broke curfew). Needless to say that was extremely annoying and it took everything I had not to tell the guy that I am a grown ass adult, I understand his issue but as a customer I personally don’t need to hear him piss and moan about it and how unprofessional that is… So he says I can set my stuff down and says he isn’t responsible for it,(Like I’m gonna leave it in that corner and walk way) I stood next to it and again… I have to hear about calling first because he doesn’t want a line…(People were just browsing like 3 people max seriously. they weren’t busy and he didn’t need to stand over me and hover to help someone check out for crying out loud) So finally the guy with the keys comes in and he’s about as much of a peach as the older gentleman I’d been listening to for 30 mins… So they finally start testing things, I had assumed everything I needed was in the box, Well a charging cable was missing my mistake, He belittled me for that and I said I can buy one no problem, The new guy. it’s such and such price. I said right…(I am beyond annoyed by this point, doing everything I can to not just lose my mind) The older man now starts about a cable… A cable I was purchasing since I clearly was mistaken and forgot it…(it happens, they allowed you to pay for one) He keeps going on about it as the other peach is testing my console. The other guy seems to have relaxed cause my console of course works and no issues, then the older man who loved treating me like a child finally asked me for my ID and such… Shocking enough once he realized I’m over the age of 25, He changes his tune and starts attempting to be respectful… Now don’t get me wrong, as a woman I don’t mind looking younger then my age, but Just because I look young and happen to be a female gamer doesn’t mean I’m one of those twits that has no idea what I’m doing and just plays COD giggling into a headset… and is 15 – 19 years old… No It was honestly amazing how once this older man who spent a good 45 mins belittling me like a damn child, decided to treat me like a customer finally… I was able to complete my task… It took everything I had to not just go off on this guy at that point… I however wanted to attempt to be an adult and just walked out with my head held high… Needless to say… I won’t return to this game stop and will continue to use the ones closer to me or even better I’ll just take my chances walking through the actual mall and hope for the best before I even think of stepping foot into this gamestop again… I feel they could use some training and or the older gentleman can work on his tact which it seems he has lost and maybe take a course in how to act professionally when overwhelmed. So don’t waste your time in this gamestop… use the one in the actual supermall if you have to go to the one in Auburn… this place will be a waste of your time…
