Evergreen Pest Solutions

Been with the company last 2 years now and today a salesmen came up to my house and asked me a couple questions then asked if he could use me as an example to my neighbors so it could help him out and I was fine with it. Otherwise the service that I have received has been awesome so far. There hasn’t been one ant or spider that I have seen in the past 2 years and when I called for them to take care of ant hill next to my drive way, they came out a couple days later to treat it. From an actual customer of theirs, that’s had the service done and not only have talked to a salesmen, I would suggest to you who are thinking about having pest control or have talked to a salesmen and thinking about it, to use this company because they take care of the house inside and out and make your house pretty like mine. A man showed up at my door at 5pm on a Saturday. It started off weird with him asking if my neighbors let me know he was coming. I said no. He tried to sell me on pest control services. I told him I had no need. He said my neighbor and pointed to his house and called him by the wrong name got the service because his house was overrun with bugs. I said I wasn’t in need but I would take a business card in case I need pest removal in the future. He said he didn’t have any but he would be back on Monday and Tuesday and would I be home?
I looked up the business because I had never heard of it and it said it was closed and in Auburn, no where near where I am located. In fact in my city you need to have proper documentation when going door to door. On top of that lying about my neighbors is pretty low and then asking if I will be home on specific days is making it seem even less credible.
If I ever do need pest control I will be doing research and going with a local company with good reviews.

The sales team and the technician both were out standing. Pricing was competitive with the market but the services offered made the deal worth while.
This sale was made from a cold call and as such David Cleeg suffered through by inital rejection to make the sale.

Update: the «salesman» that told me they would be in my neighborhood that afternoon and on Monday must drive an invisible van. I have not seen ANYONE from Evergreen Pest Solutions in my neighborhood. I question this business. Sounds like a scam with horrible people.

They did it again! Same sales pitch of «your neighbors are having our services done…» and then an argument about whether or not he was trying to sell something. We have THREE No Soliciting signs and Zach still ignored them to interrupt our dinner.

Had Adam come to my house yesterday and sold me a package for quarterly service. He used an old salesman tactic of LYING to me and saying all my neighbors signed up for their services and basically I should too!
I made the mistake of singing up… well I talked to my neighbors (specifically the ones he said had just signed up that day) and they didn’t! They also said he was super pushy. I refuse to do business with people who lie.
Also, I called the company directly to cancel our contract (you have three days to do this by the way…) and specifically said I did not want to talk to Adam… well guess what. he called me back to tell me I «misunderstood» him…
So unprofessional.

Despite having a no-​soliciting sign at our front door, I opened the door to a solicitor for Evergreen Pest Solutions. He lied and said that my neighbors were all going in on a «neighborhood special» to treat rats, spiders, etc. We have Hobo Spiders and rats, so I agreed to an appointment, and he specifically told me that I could cancel if my husband wasn’t on board with it (a lie)! Post-​treatment, we still have rats, spiders, and ants, and I’ve tried to call/​email, but get no response. The owner says they’ve been having «phone problems» (and had an unlikely excuse for every issue I had). When I had someone come out a second time, they showed up reeking of alcohol and were completely rude. I had enough grace not to rat him out to his boss, but when I asked for someone else to come out the next time because I thought that this person was disrespectful, the owner was defensive and said that he’s never had anyone complain about that person (and had many excuses for his employee). When I realized what a crappy business this was, and what waste of money the «treatments» were, my husband was pissed that I had agreed to it, and I wanted to cancel. But the cancellation fee is $ 150! Now my husband WON’T let me cancel the YEAR LONG contract, just to teach me a lesson, and I have to deal with them for the rest of the year. NEVER AGAIN. Don’t hire people that come to your door! Seek out good-​reviewed businesses on your own.

BEWARE!!! This company doesn’t even deserve one star! Horrible customer service. She basically argued with me on the phone and called me a liar once I was actually able to contact them. Their number was disconnected when I tried calling several times to get them back out to our home after the first treatment. We actually had a worse infestation of spiders and ants. Salesman was charming but push! Make sure you read the fine print before you sign. If you cancel there is a fee. After calling several times did not work we drove to the address which did not exist. We read other reviews and concluded that this company smells like a scam and probably is. Also they ask for a voided check so they have access to your bank account. Don’t give out your information as I was foolish enough to do. BEWARE!!!

Same story about young kid soliciting their service. Seemed like a decent job. My issue with them is they promised a year round service. They did it once in June and never showed up again. I tried calling them to get their service tech out to my house but their contact phone number doesn’t work.
Stay away.

They promised to do a better job then my prior pest company. $ 240 dollars worth of treatments, last minute calls for scheduling to come and I had more ants then I had before.
I canceled and went to Safe Shield, better customer service and one treatment and zero ants for 6 months. Also cheaper.
Evergreen charged me a cancelation fee ($ 100) cause I did not fulfill my year long contract which they never mentioned when they signed me up so eagerly at my front door. Avoid these guys, over priced, bad service and not worth it.

I’ve been using Evergreen Pest Solutions for almost a year now. I’ve always been very satisfied with their service and technicians who have sprayed our house. Most recently, our technician Daniel was very helpful in knocking down 4 wasp nests (which we thought we only had 2). I recommend this pest service. They’ve always arrived on time and I’ve never had any problem with billing etc.

A young man named Jimmy came to our door soliciting for the pest company. He mentioned a couple neighbors noticing some hobo spiders around. I told him that I had been seeing an increase of spiders and also ants. He was a tad pushy, but was polite. It was something that I had been looking into getting anyways so I agreed and signed the agreement. He said they would be back to our home on Monday morning to spray and complete the inspection.
Monday morning, Kent the pest inspector told my husband after he had sprayed the house that he’d have to come back to drop off some paperwork that he had forgotten to give us. That afternoon I put a note on the door to make sure he didn’t knock or ring the doorbell during my son’s afternoon nap and to put the paperwork near the door for me. After my son woke up I went outside and there wasn’t any paperwork so I was curious why they didn’t drop it off like they had said.
Around 7pm I put my son to bed and then I went to bed myself because I work early in the morning. At 8pm there was a knocking and then a door bell ring at my front door. I was startled out of bed and then my dogs started to bark, but since I wasn’t expecting anyone to be at my door that late at night and I was in my pjs I didn’t answer my door. It took me another 40 minutes to get back to sleep because my heart was racing which was so frustrating.
The next morning I noticed I had a phone message from Kent saying that he had tried a couple times during the day to get my signature. A signature isn’t what I was told he needed, but to drop off some paperwork. Why not call your customer before you go to their house to see if they are available to sign paperwork? It is so rude and unsafe to knock and ring a door bell so late at night especially when you know they have a small toddler who probably goes to bed early. My son luckily didn’t wake up or else I would have been even more upset. The phone message asked for my cooperation so that further upset me. The customer service or phone etiquette of this inspector could use some improvement.
I had my husband call the company the next day because I was still so upset. He told the lady at their office to let Kent know he would be home in the morning if he wanted to stop by. Yet again you’d think you’d get a call from the inspector to confirm we were home before just showing up but Kent shows up and rings the doorbell and of course it happens to be during my son’s morning nap and he gets woken up. All the other companies we have worked with so far have called us about 10 – 15 minutes out to let us know they are on their way and we can keep a look out for them so we can greet them or prepare for the visit. A quick courtesy call would have made all the difference.
I called the office and the staff was very courteous and apologetic. They listened empathetically. I just hope in the future we will receive a call before anyone comes to our door. I am giving 3-​stars for the good work and the courteous office staff. My husband was there when Kent sprayed the house, and he stated he did a good job. He wore shoe covers in our house so I feel that is respectful. I am taking two stars away because of Kent not giving us any curtesy calls before arriving and for knocking and ringing our door bell well after acceptable hours.
At this moment I am on the fence if I will renew. Let’s see how our inspections go the next few times.

Young kid from Evergreen rings my doorbell despite the fact that there is a «No Soliciting» sign right next to the button. After I answered the door, he goes into this pitch and tell me that I’ve seen their van’s around town (trying to convince me they are a big company, but I’ve never even heard of them). I interrupt him telling him that the No Soliciting sign was intended to avoid… well soliciting. And he continues to push on about how my neighbors had signed up with him and that I have some kind of ant in my yard. I again interrupt him and tell him that I’m not interested.
To Evergreen, even if I need pest service, I would not deal with you because a company that clearly can’t follow instructions such as «No Soliciting» and still be overly aggressive about sales is NO COMPANY I ever want to deal with.
A simple apology from the boy would have been enough, but instead he chose to continue pitching about why I need to sign up.

Don’t use them. RUN AWAY! I made the terrible mistake of hiring them over the summer and their guy came out, randomly sprayed around and said he was done. He said see you in a few months I told him no. Then 3 months later I get a bill on my door while I am at work saying they didn’t spray because my dogs were in the backyard and they charged my credit card $ 130 for the visit I did not order or ask for or want.
I called them with no return call. I emailed them with no return email. Now I am starting a law suit against them in to get my money back.
Find some other company. They are HORRIBLE.

well if you read google reviews it will lead to a lot of people angry about the solicitors. my solicitor was nice and friendly and I just so happened to be seeing an influx of spiders in my band new home. after chatting with the guy for a while I decided to give it a go.
the tech that came out was nice and friendly as well, sprayed all the necessary areas and set traps for moles. he set the traps all towards the back of the yard. I had a concentration of spiders in the ferns so I asked him to spray those down which he said he did. after talking to the tech and doing some research online I decided to opt with the one time treatment as during the winter time the bugs mostly die off anyway. the tech told me the price would be the same as the recurring treatment plan which was nice.
well it is now 2 weeks later and there has been an influx of mole holes in the front yard; the back of the yard however seems to have been fixed with no new holes popping up. The spiders in the ferns and trees however are all still there. like nothing ever happened. I call them up to see if they can come back out to spray down the areas in the ferns that are still crawling with webs and spiders and set some more traps in the front of the yard where the holes have been getting more frequent but since i opted for the one time treatment they said they would not come out for free. it was going to be 70 $ to treat a few ferns and plant some more gummy worm mole baits.
the fact that i am still killing spiders in my home as well as the lackluster effectiveness on the ferns is making me seriously doubt their credibility. (edit: after going in the backyard with my dog it seems there are still new mole holes as well sp even the baits planted back there were not effective). they are not even standing behind their work. it is questionable that a business that claims to be in business for 25yrs has absolutely zero reviews on Unilocal and google until just recently. all of the google reviews are basically just recent from the salesman cold calling homes all over. i get the feeling the previous reviews were paid to be removed and they were trying to start again… be warned. also if they are a 25yr old business what is the reason to be doing all these cold calls… most businesses that have been around that long already have a long list of clients they can contact… fishy. and from the google reviews the sales guys are super aggressive.
the salesman and tech were actually fairly nice. the sales guy said he would do the moles for free and when the tech came he said he was supposed to charge for the moles eventhough the sales guy said he would do it but he just did it anyway. i would actually have called them back in the summer but after their lack of standing behind their work i cannot possibly recommend them.
