Wow. Apparently this company has enough business to be completely unresponsive. I put in a call and it was received by an answering service. They made an appointment for the afternoon between the hours of 2 – 5. I called at noon to just to confirm the appointment and the answering service lady said someone would call be back and said promptly added «Thank You for choosing Drain Away!». No one called back. No one showed up between 2 – 5. I made several phone calls inquiring about the alleged appointment each ending with «Thank you for choosing Drain away». I still haven’t received a response. Any response. (Blink. Blink) Even the sound of crickets chirping left on my voice mail would be enough for me to get it. I can only assume that they are swimming in piles of money as the phone calls and messages pile up.

I contacted Drain Away Plumbing multiple times and never received a call back from either the plumber assigned to me by their answering service or by the answering service to provide an update.
At this point I decided to e-​mail them and below is a copy of the e-​mail that I sent.

On Thursday February 4^th I put in a phone request (253−941−7920) to have a plumber from your company come to my house. As it is nothing more than a slow water leak under my sink and a clogged drain I stated that this was a low priority. I was not informed when I would receive a call and waited one week to be put on a schedule.
I contacted your company a second time on Thursday February 11^th to schedule a time for a plumber to show up. I was provided the choice of a morning or afternoon appointment on Monday February 15h. I chose to have it a morning appointment and was informed that I would be contacted.
At 10:00am I contacted the number above a third time and was informed that a message was sent out to multiple parties that I was to be contacted and have a plumber show up.
Having heard nothing I once again contacted the number above, they confirmed that the message was sent, however they have no method to know that it was received on your end for dispatch.
So far every expectation that I have had regarding a plumber coming to my house from your company has not been met. By definition your company has failed to meet expectations.
I now, perhaps unjustly, expect that I will have a plumber here by 2:30pm today, which is now ten days after my first call, four days after my second call, five hours after and my third call, and two and a half hours after my fourth and final call.
If you are unable to provide service in this time window please provide a detailed response to the following questions.
1) What failed in the process?
2) What steps are you going to take to fix the process?

Drain Away Plumbing was the third company I called about my hot water issue… I am so glad they were recommended to me. Very impressed with Cory; he knew what he was talking about and did not make me feel stupid. I will continue my business with this company, and will recommend them in the future!

They gave me a 4 hour appt window and never called or showed up. don’t waste your time like I did.

It’s so wonderful to find a quality company these days, Drain Away is one of those companies. Corey showed up exactly in the time frame promised. He replaced a leaking compression fitting in probably 15 minutes. He then gave me a very reasonable estimate to replace an outdoor frost free faucet. He clearly explained the options and how the repair will be done. Drain Away is my new plumber and will definitely get our repeat business. Stop calling other plumbing companies & call Drain Away!

I vowed to try and use these guys, way back in 2010 when they helped me out with a situation in an unfamiliar new house.
I’m glad that I did. My wife and I had selected a new sink and faucet and set about finding a plumber to install it. These guys were very accommodating from the start; stopping by to see the job and providing a reasonable estimate. They did need to reschedule the job from the original date due being down a tech that day. But on the day of the job the tech was on time, polite and kept the work area tidy. He kept me informed about any pending noise or disruption to my routine. At the end, I could tell that the job was more difficult and went longer than expected, but they stuck with the estimate. We now have a beautiful new kitchen sink and faucet and Drain Away Plumbing has earned my future business and my strong recommendation to others.

Great service from Drain Away Plumbing. Everyone was exceptionally nice on the phone. The plumber (Dave) promptly called me back and was able to come out to our house the same day (a Friday afternoon). He fixed the issue in less than one hour and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is in need of a plumber!

Had a leaky faucet outside. Aaron came over and gave me some options, he fixed the leak at a timely manner and came over on schedule. The price was very reasonable. I would definetly use them again

Hired them to install a new kitchen faucet. In terms of quality work and professionalism on-​site, I’d give them 5 stars. They had the faucet installed and working in a little more than 30 minutes. My complaint is the service cost $ 244 after taxes and none of that was for materials because I purchased the faucet. I’m used to $ 90 for the service call, plus somewhere around $ 45 per hour, thinking I’d owe about $ 150 after tax. I used this company based on the sparkling Unilocal reviews. I don’t hold the on-​site plumber at fault, I hold the business decision maker at fault, and I emailed them to ask for an explanation of charges because I felt they were too high. I was told they would look into and contact me, and 4 days later, no contact. Quality work was done, but pricing, and follow through was terrible.

When I read the review by Lacey S. I knew I had to call this plumber — she had the same issue I did. Since I was unable to turn the faucet off, I was glad they were able to come out the same day. They were dressed professionally, had all the necessary supplies/​parts with them, arrived on time and quickly resolved the problem.
I highly recommended them and will definitely use this company in the future!

These guys deserve repeat business. I had a water pipe burst in my garage leading to external spigot back in December. It’s now March, and I had a few days off to get it taken care of. So I started calling some of the plumbers I previously bookmarked on Unilocal,some that were specifically praised for burst pipe repair.
Several plumbers I called prior to Drainaway were abrupt, and I had to lead the phone call questions to get them to ask ME what they needed. Most seemed disinterested in taking the job. One asked me to text him instead of calling! WTF?!? He responded three days later while this job was already started by Drainaway. Are these businesses not interested in gaining business?
But the morning of appointment, Aaron called enroute to let me know he was running late. That I could understand. From start at 945 to 1045, it took approximately 1 hour to cut out sheetrock and replace one section of CPVC pipe. He pointed out the hairline crack. Replaced some tubing, and turned on main water line only to see if still spraying water further up the line. He ended up replacing the new section with an even longer section. After installing the outdoor spigot and making sure no leaks were there, he went above and beyond to make sure the pipe was properly insulated between the plywood and sheetrock.
The price was within my estimate. No bogus callout charges were placed on the bill to pad the cost.

I could not be more pleased with the service I received from Drain Away Plumbing today. After dealing with a leaky outdoor faucet that was stuck in the on position for 3 days, I was ready for anything.
What I got was a pleasant and straightforward replacement experience and at a pretty fair price.
I phoned the company around 10 this morning. Left a message with a young lady and had a call back within an hour.
Aaron told me he would be to the house sometime after 1pm. TODAY!
Aaron showed up almost exactly at 1pm! Score!
He took a look at our 30 year old hose bib and gave me several options. We could try to fix it ourselves, he could try to fix it, or he could replace it. The cost difference for him to repair vs replace was not much (in the grand scheme of things) and after a quick phone call to the hubby, we decided to be done with it and not worry about it again for 15 – 20 years.
Aaron had all of the necessary tools and parts in his truck (which was clean, newish, and well-​maintained) and had the job done in about an hour. The job required a small square of drywall be removed for access and he was very careful not to make a mess. In fact, I don’t think there was any dust left at all! He repacked the space with the insulation also, which was very kind.
I was able to pay with a credit card (I think they will also take a check) and received a detailed invoice for future reference. He told me a job like this they would guarantee for 5 years, which sounds reasonable to me.
I really can’t thank Aaron and Drain Away enough. They are spot on, top notch. I would definitely call them again if need be, without hesitation.

I confess, I’m kinda cheap. I’ve been turning my shower on with a pair of pliers for the last few months. I know, I know… but another plumber quoted me an astronomical price to fix it, so I tried to make it work as long as I could and finally realized I had to bite the bullet. Already hating the idea of paying the money to make this repair, I called Drain Away based on their Unilocal reviews. They lived up to every glowing review, and here is one more to back those up:
Every single person from the gal that answered the phone to the guys who came out to my house were SUPER nice. They were timely — both in returning phone calls and showing up to my house on time. They did their best to save me from having to pay for something I might not need, and they did the work for a completely reasonable cost (which should be noted was approximately $ 200 less than the other plumber quoted me). Dave, the plumber that did my repair, has the magic touch and performed the near-​impossible, and he did it quickly. So now my shower is officially un-​ghetto-​fied.
Truly fantastic service, great work, honest folks, and I will use them over and over again.

These guys have been to my house twice. The experience the first time was good enough for me to make sure to get their number into my phone so that I knew who to call the next time I needed a plumber. The second time was good enough for me to want to write this review for them, and I’m not a big review writer.
I called them at about 11:45am on the Sunday of a three-​day weekend with a clogged drain. Cory, showed up by 1:00pm. He spent close to three hours trying to find the best way to get a cable to the clog. It’s a bit of a challenge with our house since its been through so many remodels. Through it all he was very conscientious and professional. The drain is cleared and the bill was less than I feared. I highly recommend Drainaway Plumbing.

The time from my initial phone call to the office clerk until the plumber was at my door was around 45 minutes. Not to Shabby. The cost was $ 199 for the first plumbing project (snaking the pipe from my kitchen sink). The second plumbing project while he was still there was $ 150 (snaking the pipe from our bathtub). The total cost was only slightly less than I would have expected but the guy was friendly and thoughtful of our home. What I liked best was that the duration of the project up to three hours was at a flat fee so if snaking the pipe had taken a couple of hours we wouldn’t have been in the red. After snaking the pipes enough to make them functional he cleared material from his snakes and re-​snaked the pipes again to get as much of the material as possible so that hopefully we would not need his services again soon which is something any homeowner/​customer can appreciate.

Just wanted to put in a good word for them so I can remember who to call next time my plumbing breaks down.
They replaced the old pipes with copper plumbing in my house 5 years ago and did a fast, thorough job, at a reasonable price.
They are honest and reliable.
