I’ve been to The Breakfast Club several times and have always enjoyed breakfast there. Stopped by several times in recent weeks only to find that it’s closed. Anyone know if this is a permanent closing? Hope they’ll re-open soon. I really liked their regular ham and eggs special

The breakfast burritos are the best ever! This place is small and the décor is awful but I always have a great meal and friendly service!

My wife and I came in for lunch and were both disappointed with our meals. I ordered a cheeseburger on sourdough bread with Hash browns, and my wife ordered a salad with ham and cheese. The hamburger was bland, and dripping with grease. By the time I got to the second half, the grease had saturated through the bottom slice of bread. The hash browns were not worth eating. My wife’s salad was processed chunks of ham and cheese which she did not eat. I used the bathroom which had a dirty mop and bucket stored inside and smelled bad, and the floors were dirty, both in the bathroom and resturaunt. Not a good experience and we won’t be returning.

Some back round information, I am an 18 year old girl and came in for breakfast. I was waiting for a friend, so I ordered without her. I got my food and 1 minute after I got my food, the server brought my check. Wtf… Just cause I’m a teenager doesn’t mean I won’t pay. He didn’t even ask if I wanted anything else. On top of that it wasn’t even busy. Better off going to Mels

Located in Auburn right off the freeway next to the CVS and grocery store. Wanted to try a breakfast joint. Small shop with a simple menu. Staff was friendly and prompt. Some questions were not immediately taken. Beverage order and refills were quick. Food order was quick from order to delivery. Order two different omelettes served with fruit or potatoes and toast. My order was with sausage was ok. Had to add some of the house hot sauce. The toast was prebuttered. Way too much butter and had to scrape some off. Added some of the strawberry jelly. Also just okay. Potatoes were cooked tender soft. Fruit was fresh. Some sweet. Good: quick service, decent priced breakfast. Bad: nothing remarkable, adult beverages could give some life to this quiet shop. We used a coupon in the entertainment book. It was ok experience. Maybe a return visit.

I heard great things about this place, so we went on a Tuesday morning, about 10 a.m. with my husband, daughter and grandson. It’s the typical strip mall diner, but clean and nice. The biggest downer was the time it took to be served! The restaurant was only about ¼ full. Us three adults ordered the advertised specials(thinking it would be quick) and the grandson had pancakes. It took at least 10 minutes for our order to even be taken and over 25 minutes to be served! Not once did our waitress come by to update us(we thought we were forgotten!). If you are sitting there with a hungry 10 year old waiting to go to Golfland Sunsplash, that’s more like 2 hours! Anyway, the crabcake Benedicts were absolutely wonderful, but my husband’s steak was tough and tasteless(most of it went to the doggie). All in all, not a good experience and we won’t be back.

We live in Auburn and go here fairly regularly. Don’t really care about the dated décor but the food is good and the place is very clean. I’ve had most everything on the breakfast menu but really like the eggs benedict and in the fall their pumpkin french toast is very good. Wait staff has always been friendly and the place supports local artists and local teams. All in all a great local breakfast place!

My husband and I made the mistake of coming here instead of waiting for a table at Katrina’s Café. The owner helped serve us and made some completely crass comments such as «I dont like anyone… Just to be clear, I dont even like my own wife and kids.» Our drink orders were wrong and we got hashbrowns instead of country potatoes. The owner brought the corrected order out stating, «I hope this works better for you» in a dry, sarcastic voice We will definitely never be coming here again

One Word: Nasty Oh golly just nasty. This place belongs on the side of a highway in Arkansas not the mountains of Northern California. Nasty

Let me start by saying that I love breakfast! And I love Eggs Benedict! Being very picky when it comes to the Hollandaise sauce, I tried Breakfast Club on a very hungry morning in Auburn. The restaurant was almost empty when I walked in. I was immediately greeted by a nice lady, who told me to choose wherever I like to sit. I picked the last booth on the corner end of the restaurant, near the kitchen & ordered my coffee. She brought me a pot of coffee, that was fresh and aromatic. I ordered the Mushroom And Spinach Eggs Benedict with Homemade Hollandaise Sauce and Crispy Hash Browns. I was very impressed that they were able to make my hashbrowns extra crispy, just the way I like it! Usually, even in my favorite Orange County breakfast places, they cook my hashbrowns crispy on the outside, but undercooked on the inside. The Breakfast Club however, cooked my hashbrowns super crispy all around & it was perfect. Starting with the English muffin, it was toasted to perfection, and was topped with the perfect slice of Canadian bacon. The eggs were poached very well & the inside temperature was perfect. The homemade Hollandaise sauce was creamy, like a dream! The combination of perfectly cooked mushrooms & spinach with the amazing texture of eggs brought a smile to my face after every small bite. I can easily say that this was by far, the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had. I absolutely loved this truly delicious dish & for the first time in my life, I actually finished eating every little thing that was on my plate! After leaving Auburn, One of the things that I miss every day is the amazing Eggs Benedict I had at the Breakfast Club. I can’t wait to go back, and take my fiancé with me so he can watch me eat like an animal, because otherwise he won’t believe it!

While the omelette was filling and delicious and the orange juice tasted fresh squeezed, the service was horrible. Since I can’t eat gluten, I asked for no toast and I don’t like melon, I requested to have juice instead. That was nice for the server to be flexible with my dietary needs, she took that to mean I didn’t want home fries as well. The omelette was filling enough without them though. I asked for water and never received it. The server never came to check on our food. The place was super busy so I guess the locals like it.

For a good traditional breakfast in Auburn, the Breakfast Club is probably tied for second place with Awful Annie’s on my list — depends on my mood. Annie’s has a bit more sophisticated atmosphere(but that’s relative — it’s still Auburn). I am a tiny bit more partial to Edelweiss on High St. But the Breakfast Club is a close second and has easy freeway access and better parking(since it’s in a shopping center). Several visits, never unhappy.

Love this place. We travel from Reno to Oakland to watch the Oakland Raiders so this is our midway stop for a wonderful breakfast. Everyone is so nice that works here. You are treated like family(even though they are not Raider fans).

Zero stars for the food. 1 star because the server was nice. I had the chicken fried steak and almost threw up with the first bite. It tasted rancid. Same with the hash browns. I ordered eggs scrambled well and they barely cooked. My husband was only marginally happier with his breakfast but only ate about half. We for sure will never go back. Anothet poster said mcdonalds has beter breakfasts and hes right. Try katrinas or awful annies instead.

Today we shared a Joe’s Omelette, waffles, biscuits and gravy. Spiced all but the waffle with some of the California Hot Sauce provided at each table. It was all excellent. Waffles cooked just right, gravy on the biscuits not over-seasoned, Joe’s omelette delicious. We will definitely return.

We should have left after standing by the«wait to be seated sign» for minutes and told from across the room to sit wherever we wanted. The restaurant wasn’t busy. I ordered basic breakfast. Bacon, scrambled eggs, home potatoes and toast. The eggs were runny, the bacon tasted like it was cooked earlier in the day and sat under warming lights, the potatoes were not fresh and luke warm. Toast was okay but had to ask for jam. Was brought the wrong one(there were only two choices). My husband’s turkey, avocado, cheese on sourdough was good. Waitress was nice.

Epic fail, found a hair in my omelet, the server only came by once, there were only 6 people ion the café, I guess it was overwhelming to her. The cashier never even offered a discount as I did not finish the meal. 1 star because i had to, but they will never get a dime from me again. People of Auburn you have better places to eat at. The cook did not even have a hair or a beard net, disgusting, McDonald’s is better than this shit hole.

My Auburnian cousin took me and my daughter here yesterday morning. I was very pleased with our visit. Highlights: + A delicious Fresh Crab Benedict… crab was indeed fresh and substantial and that was probably the richest, most buttery hollandaise sauce I“ve ever had. Only $ 12.45. + Great service… pot of coffee left on the table, not rushed to get out of there + Diverse menu… looks like lots of interesting stuff + Substantial French Toast for my girl off the kids menu + My cousin’s biscuit and gravy looked pretty good! Pretty funny that they’ve got Rams décor so close to Ninertown(Rocklin), but you gotta like loyalty to roots. I’ll give it five stars for context… the best you can expect out of a little local diner. Why not spring for a better mall sign than«Restaurant» though?

I’ll say this upfront: I’m incredibly biased regarding The Breakfast Club. I spent six long years working in the shopping center it’s located in, and dining options weren’t exactly scarce(pizza, sandwich, bakery, Starbucks, grocery store, In ‘n Out right around the corner) but this was hands down my favorite place to get lunch. Why? Because the servers remembered my name and the service was *always* fast, reliable, and awesome. Plus they gave a discount for center employees. Fast forward a decade or so, and while that discount is long gone, I still love this place. See, my grandmother lives around the corner. She’s legally blind and can’t drive anymore, but she can walk to the Breakfast Club. They remember her name, remember her orders, and are always unfailingly fast, reliable, and awesome. The food is pretty standard mom-and-pop’s fare(I so wouldn’t call this place a diner) and the décor is… well, it ain’t much to look at. The wood paneling hasn’t changed in a few decades, and the art by locals varies in quality from week to week.(Kudos to them for featuring local artists though!) That said, theirs are the biscuits and gravy that I judge all others by and that I crave on a not infrequent basis and I’ve only ever had an order come out wrong once. I think there’s something to be said for consistency when it’s solid food paired with unfailingly fast, reliable, and awesome service in a locally owned joint. Yeah, four stars because Yay! I’m a fan. P. S. Not only is disability access good, the staff is more than happy to move tables, make a booth accessible for wheelchairs(one entire wall is half-booths) and they’ll even sit down and read a menu to a blind old woman. Thanks, Breakfast Club.

When you think of a hole in the wall type of breakfast diner, this place is exactly it! Looks old school and has(I would assume) its regulars eating here. I’ve been here a couple of times and everything has been consistent… portions are big on some of the menu items, and the simple eggs/bacon are on the pricier side. The hot sauce was surprisingly good. Nothing really stands out about this place, but it is a cozy little hole in the wall place to grab breakfast if you’re in the area.
