Big Dog Running Company

Great addition to the Auburn community! It’s great to have people that know what they’re talking about and won’t sell you a shoe just because. They put in some of the best races in Auburn and do so much for the community. Every race in town Big Dog will support. They even have free classes! A must for anyone in Auburn!

These days, I’m usually ashamed to call myself a runner. I used to be a runner. There was a time I routinely ran six miles during my «easy» runs and an eight minute mile was a piece of cake. Not anymore. But hpefully I’ll get back there soon.
One of the things that gives me inspiration about getting back to running is Big Dog. I was ultra pleased to see Auburn get a specialty running store. I was a little nervous about what the set up was going to be like but I was very pleased when it opened. It definitely fit the bill of what a running store should be like.
Nice variety of shoes, running clothes and even swimming gear for when I get around to doing that too. I was pleased they had the gait analysis to help one determine the most ideal type of running shoes to get and best of all, the host running clinics, most of which have been free. They have free water and food for runners on the weekends and support a lot of the local races.
Yes, their shoes are a little more expensive but in my opinion, it is a little price to pay for the quality of store in this wonderful town. Sarcasm intended. I wanted to get new running shoes in NYC but I waited until I was back in Auburn so I could support Big Dog.
Auburn folks, go check out Big Dog and get your gear from them. Thy are awesome. And did I mention that dogs are allowed in the store. Seriously. They will let you bring your pets. How awesome is that!!!
