Awaken Integrative Bodywork helps you achieve a vibrant state of health & wellness. We assist you by offering bodywork & massage, energy work, education and community referrals.

Our bodywork sessions are created according to your particular needs at each session. We blend clinical experience, intuition and deep listening to create an integrative experience of peace, relaxation and wholeness.

We’ve worked with people to address many issues including sciatic pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, neck stiffness and pain, frozen shoulder symptoms, fibromyalgia, arthritis, stress and life transitions including bereavement, illness, aging, pregnancy and childbirth.

Jessica Gutierrez, CMT has practiced massage and bodywork in Auburn California since 2009, blending modalities to create therapeutic, nurturing and profoundly relaxing sessions for her clients. She has advanced education in anatomy and physiology, and has studied Deep Tissue Massage, Prenatal Massage, Swedish Massage, Energy work, Craniosacral Work, Trigger Point Therapy, Meditation and Yoga, and trained as a Birth Doula. Jessica is also a graduate of the School of Creation, where she studied the consciousness of the body, a graduate of Global Harmony, a transformational training program, as well as numerous embodiment and dance trainings and workshops. Jessica is also a hospice volunteer with Hospice of the Foothills and finds great meaning in serving individuals and families through the dying process

Before beginning her Massage and bodywork practice, Jessica studied community media, social anthropology and community development, and held multiple positions for nonprofit organizations including outreach, education, communications, development, media production, management, marketing, event coordination and publicity. One of her greatest accomplishments was founding and operating a youth media program for homeless and at-​risk youth to help them share their voices with their community. Jessica witnessed profound healing in the youth when they experienced being heard and seen by caring community members.
