Our Xterra just purred down the road after Bryan did his thorough magic-​He treats your car like it’s his own! I’m so grateful for the attention to the auto housekeeping –it was only a little embarrassing that they cleaned our car after a Baja Road Trip of off-​roading and dusty, desert driving and meals-​in-​the-​car! THANK YOU for your beautiful, professional, clean, welcoming family business. Becki, you set a standard that is impressive and inspirational and you create a welcoming, old-​fashioned environment that is a joy to be part of.

Having auto repairs done is never fun. It always costs more than you want to spend. If you are unfamiliar with the auto mechanics around, you never know if the place is going to rip you off. I went through all of that thought process when my vehicle broke down. Ultimately I decided to give Autovantage a chance.
They did a thorough check on my Jeep and gave me a prioritized list of what needed to be fixed. I knew I had at least two problems before going in there. After their check, I realized that I had more wrong than that. But they never pressured me to do anything. Some of those things I still haven’t done. Things like one of my light bulbs being out in my rear window brake light. There are six bulbs in there. One being blown isn’t that important to me. The wipers will be getting replaced soon, as the rainy season is approaching. But even they said to wait on doing the wipers.
The main problems that I brought it in for were fixed. I didn’t realize to what extent the brakes were messed up, but they showed me, and fixed the brakes up. They didn’t try to get me to buy a bunch of parts that I didn’t need, and have work done that wasn’t needed, but they did do a very thorough job.
They worked to try to save me money on some very expensive repairs. They earned my trust. Because of that, I will be going back with any future auto repairs. I still don’t want to have to have work done. But if I need it, it’s nice to know that Autovantage is there.

Having a vehicle serviced when you’re a woman can be a little intimidating. Not the case here.
The owners and technicians are all honorable and personable people. In the waiting room there were customers waiting who referred to the owners as «family», though they weren’t blood related. It’s obvious how caring they are about their customers, and their passion shows in the business they run.
Awesome experience and I will be referring family and friends.

This story starts at the Mazda dealer in Sacramento. I had my RX7 in for an oil change. They told me my belt was worn and recommended a replacement. I approved the change. When I drove away I noticed the AC wasn’t working. I immediately brought the car back, and the service adviser told me I must have a coolant leak. Most likely, major work would be required at a cost well over $ 500.
I decided to take the car to Autovantage to get an estimate of the AC repair. They pointed out that the wrong belt had been installed by the dealer, and the AC PUMP WASN“T EVEN BEING TURNED BY THE BELT. They wrote this up so I could show the dealer and they didn’t charge me a penny! I didn’t know these guys before I went in to get the estimate. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
I took the car back to the dealer and explained that they had installed the wrong belt. They replaced it for free. Thanks Autovantage!

As you all know it’s extremely hard to find a good reliable mechanic that will not rape you. Wow Brian and his staff are some of the most honest, reliable, warm hearted people that i have ever met, they actually care about you and your ride, I brought them one of the most difficult jobs ever! known as the curse of the ram 4 engines, 2 transmissions, 3 mechanics later from las vegas to auburn they were the only ones willing to take the time and find the problem and fix it and with fair pricing it doesn’t get any better than this, I can’t say enough about this shop and everyone there, you need your car worked on go there don’t bother shopping around they get it done right and the first time.

When I moved here from Seattle I was so happy to be referred to Autovantage. Becki and Brian are so friendly and they really took care of my car. And me. They took me home and got me when my car was completed. They are very thorough and use high quality parts that last. Their prices are reasonable and I felt I could really trust them. They are a family business so if you need repairs on your car or even just an oil change it is an excellent place to do it. You keep it local, you get excellent friendly reasonable service. What more can you ask for.

I can’t say enough good things about Autovantage. In this day and age where customer service seems to be a thing of the past, this shop is a breath of fresh air. They’re always friendly and personable and I feel they truly do care about their customers. My car is always returned clean and with a little thank you treat with a funny and clever little note attached. They’ve given me advice about my vehicles that has saved me thousands of dollars in repairs. I’ve been having them do the repairs and maintence on my cars for a few years now. I know, when I get my vehicle back from them, the problem is fixed correctly and I won’t ever have to think about it again and I never second guess their work. As much driving as my husband and I do, it’s comforting knowing that our vehicles have been worked on by some of the best in the business. I’m from the Antelop area. There are countless shops closer to me, but I it’s worth my time to make the drive up the hill for the piece of mind I get having them service my vehicles. Trustworthy, honest, knowledgeable, they communicate with you, they’ll even send you pictures of what they find that is need of attention. I’m just beyond impressed with these guys.

I was visiting from out of town when I noticed I needed an oil change before heading back home. I am so glad I took my car into Autovantage for an oil change. Sweetest staff, good waiting area and great service. I’ll be coming back next time I’m in Auburn.

They go above and beyond! Great service and very friendly. My only complaint would be that I have had to wait longer than at other places and it is a bit pricey for an oil change but they are thorough and if you have one of their coupons that makes it better. So not even really a complaint. Highly recommend!

You walk in to the office and immediately feel at home. It was nice and toasty and smelled like the holiday. That was my first impression and a very good one at that. What made it even better was the amazing couple who run it. Great customer service and very easy to talk to. Not an awkward moment because I hate that. Fair and honest pricing with honest opinions.

I found Autovantage Service Center after reading their sterling reviews. It is deserved. The service provided by Brian, Becky and Michelle is outstanding. I had something funky going on with my Honda Fit. The air conditioning/​heater fan just stopped. You spent two days trying to replicate it after I brought it in and it wouldn’t ‘perform’ for you. For all the time you spent on my car, and NOT charge me a labor fee is unheard of. It is only a matter of time before I am back. We are so happy to find a shop that provides excellent service and reliability. There is no one else we want to take care of our cars. Thank you by the way for the Cracker Jack and ‘thank you’ upon retrieving our car.

Excellent Customer Experience!
I took my 2007 Hyundai into Autovantage to repair a passenger airbag issue. I had previously taken it the Hyundai dealership on two separate occasions in response to a factory recall. Hyundai service center told me the recall didn’t apply to my VIN. The technician at Autovantage pulled up 3 diagnosis codes that related to the factory recall. Autovantage called Hyundai in Roseville and arranged for Hyundai to resolve the airbag issue under the factory warranty. Not only that, they vacuumed the seats and floor mats in my car and left me a yummy snack!

First of all, my apologies to the owners… I took WAY too long getting a review going!
Now for the good stuff! This place is exactly what a car repair/​service center should be. Ran by a husband and wife team, the place is clean, smells good (not like they had the floor mopped with motor oil!), and although it is at the end of an industrial area, when you enter the waiting area, you forget all about it!
The owner, Becki McGinnis, sat me down with the checklist of what inspections they had done and went over some things that we should keep an eye on, along with a timeline for upcoming repairs. This same checklist was emailed to me and I received a follow up phone call regarding my experience within the week. Never once did I feel intimidated or made to feel like I didn’t know what I was being told… these guys don’t just «go thru the motions» like I have experienced at other service centers.
I found this service center on Unilocal,as I am new to the area and didn’t really have anyone I could gather opinions from regarding car care. I have since recommended this place to anyone who would listen!

Just took my 2003 Toyota Tacoma to Autovantage for the first time this week. I was looking for a reliable alternative to the dealer to have my brakes checked and worked on. The service was GREAT! The owner even shuttled me to and from my home while the work was done! I felt like they were very thorough and honest about what needed to be done, and my brakes feel like new. I’ll definitely use this shop for more of my auto work.

After great recommendations from multiple people I know, I took my Toyota Tacoma to Bryan and Becki’s shop and was really impressed by their quality and thoroughness. Everyone I dealt with was personable and seemed to really care about my business and the health of my truck! I went in for an oil change/​general tune up/​check up, and they told me about some potential issues that Toyota in Folsom never mentioned (which have probably been around for a while), so I was glad to have more information as well as information on how to avoid potential problems in the future. EVERYTHING they did was printed on the receipt, which is the first time I’d seen that. I am a customer for life and am so glad to have a great mechanic/​shop I can trust. Highly recommend.

I have used AUTOVANTAGE for my 2004 Honda CRV since September 2011 after being dissatisfied with the service at the dealer and at another independent garage.
I have found that the work is done in a professional and timely manner, my car comes back clean and working great and the garage, waitingroom and bathroom are spotless.
Combine this with owners that really seem to care about doing the job right and keeping you as a satisfied customer and the fact that they are really nice people.
Not the cheapest place but I feel that they are honest and don’t pad the bill with unnecessary work.

I took my vehicle over to Autovantage after getting a referral from a friend. I had been to another local shop and the dealership complaining about a rattling noise while driving and my check engine light that kept coming on. Neither shop was helpful at all. Bryan and his team at Autovantage listened to my concerns about my car. Bryan went on a test drive with me before I left my vehicle with him so I could show him the rattle noise. Their service adviser Matt then shuttled me to work so I didn’t have to take time out of my day or call a friend for a ride. By the end of the day they had called me with a solution to both problems. My car is fixed and I am happily back on the road with no noise and no check engine light! I am definitely an Autovantage customer for life! I tell all my friends about them as well!
