Why does 7 – 11 bother having «free slurpee» day if they’re going to run out right away?
I don’t demand that businesses do something free for me to garner my business — but I do expect them to follow through if they offer something. My kids have driven me to distraction the last 3 years trying to get a «free slurpee» — they think it sounds so cool. We’ve yet to find a branch yet that hasn’t «run out» — multiple locations, multiple years. It’s just silly.
My kids finally conceded this year that this whole gig is lame. I’ve decided that, since 7 – 11 doesn’t follow through with their promotions, I’m going to go out of my way to patronize anyone but them.
